depends what you mean by "flush" if you want a true flush your going to use at least 20lt,the box takes approx 6 litres for a change plus another 2.5 if the convertor is dry, to truly flush it would need a fill up then brief drive then drain again etc about 4 times, ive done this before on my 05 camry and its a pain in the *****,messy too.the ws fluid is $60 odd dollars for 4 litre tin so yes your right they werent going to do it for 210$ plus youde be replacing the filter assembly which is $110 from memory.anyone care to correct me on that. this does sound a little strange , the second handy i put in hasnt leaked a drop and it came from the wrecker with a rag shoved in the torque converter and it was seperated .any idea what theyre charging for labour alone? it should take 9 hours labour start to finish,,,btw for those who r unaware,, this requires the whole engine to be removed.cant change tranny with removing the whole assembly FAT

first thing i did when i put the replacement in was put a separate tranny cooler in,davies craig one for a V8 from supercheap $100, seems to take alot more stop/go (standard taxi use) before it feels sloppy which what i always noticed with the original box.it would get sloppy when it got hot. post mortem on my box showed the main clutch bearing suddenly parted company and shrapnel went through the whole box. r u running LPG? i have landi renzo gas conversion and it always shifts much more abrupt on lpg than petrol.im sure this adds to its demise. we also have 1 operator here who has been operating an avalon for 6 years (same running gear as camry v6) and he got 650k out of his original tranny ,i feel confident mine will go that far too but no hopes held for the aurion,,, personally i think toyota need to take a step back to the prev drivetrain,not as rip ya head off power wise,but much hardier all round. just adding my 2 cents,sorry for my rudeness here but, R U F%^kin serious? why would you as a taxi operator even THINK about a new tranny? even a rebuild is beyond a joke. im sorry again but $10k is ridiculous. i operate 2 taxis here ,one is an 07 aurion with 395k and the other is an 05 camry v6 it has 565K.the aurion had the gearbox stuffout at 310k (fluid was changed every 70k kms )and rebuild wasnt even an option, as far as replacement goes,a second hand box from a local wrecker cost $1345 with 50k kms warranty (taxi noted) and 8 hours labour.the box had 60K on it when i put it in. sometimes you need to think outside the square. incedently, the 05 camry still had original tranny so YES the aurion gb r nowhere as hardy as the car it replaces,TOYOTA TAKE NOTE. still wouldnt go back to fords where something drops off or breaks daily. FAT

Any offers on my necvox/schnieder 8" screen dvd/gps unit,i really need to move it and its in imaculate condition with gps software/antenna and reverse camera. complete with remote,looms and original box. Yeah. I bought mine from fatsatman and it was real good deal. I am still so happy with the unit and thanks to fatsatman. Again, he's offering another great deal too! I got the package in secure, nothing is damaged and including whole thing I needed for the installation. I can guarantee if someone buy it from him, it's a good deal. I just wich if I could get this another unit from him. hehe. BTW, I am sorry to hear that you sold your aurion, fatsatman. You going to get ZR6 soon? Just wondering, why are you selling this unit? Hi mate, i can give you some info about the unit from caraudiowarehouse,, its made by NECVOX aka punch video corp taiwan,as apposed to the auspack unit made in china,, some people maynnot know any difference,, i have had an auspack unit(you will see earlier in the post that JIN has bought it from me)and for value for money theyre very good,,, however , the nexvox is just that much better quality overall and also its got an 8" screen instead of 7",, only real tradeoff is it has NO ipod interface,, and it has no tv tuner in built. i paid $1199 for it and have just yesterday sold my aurion,, im looking at buying an ZR6 soon and so sold my at-x but not before replacing the original unit back in the car,,, if you or anyone else is interested, my unit is for sale at the moment ,JIN will vouch for my honesty in selling on here,, looking for around $750 pp ,it comes complete with everything as delivered from the factory,i'm in canberra 2602 postcode .if you want, pm me your email and ill send some photos,, not being pushy but my old auspack unit was sold to JIN within about 12 hours of it been offered on here. cheers FAT

ive recently purchased an 8 inch screen model from ebay ($1200)and have my auspack unit for sale ,slightly used 99% as new in 100% operational condition.ciomplete with all wiring looms and remote etc,, minus rear camera(installed in my car still). so far im not really 100% happy with my new purchase,comparing to the auspack there is stuff all different bar the 8inch display,, but now have no use for the old auspack unit. anyone interested contact me at fatsatman@bigpond.com looking for $450 pp

its very unfortunate that some of you guys have had bad luck with your convertions becuase since ive had mine done ive clocked up 24,000 kms to date, average lpg consumption is about 13.5lt per 100kms and thats driving it pretty hard,,actually it doesnt really like been driven like a granny,have had no such problems like fault lights coming on or things stop working,, had mine done by a guy in queanbeyan(just outside canberra) cost me $4400 for the convertion and its costing me about $38-$39 bucks a tank and getting about 420k's out off it around town.using about 10 litres petrol every 15 or so lpg fills*** landi renzo I LOVE YOU *** ;-) oh yer and the power drop,, well,, ??? what power drop? not worth talking about!

Shame the overall unit ain't so crash hot. Mine is left on the iGO8 screen pretty much all the time, so the isn't so bad that way. The unit is alright for its price though. Which version of iGO8 you are using? I am using Windows CE 5.0, it keeps saying cannot load loading.bmp in folder 400x320. I checked data.zip and the file is there. Or is IGO8 ver 8.0.0.44366 too new and I need to use some older ones? check this out ,, its alll in there, http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...15546&st=50 you need to change some folders to get it to work ,just follow the instructions and itll all come good.

i would ***** the unit off all together and get one of the auspack units,pretty happy so far with mine,and you can put at least four different gps programs on,of which ive found the mio igo8 to be the best,,, i love it,,the interface is so useer friendly and its intuitive input too. just my 2c

after some research on the net it appears very common fault in u.s camrys with the same drivetrain,2grfe with u660e,some people even noting theyd had their tranny replaced up to two times under warranty and still had the problem return after about 5,000 "miles".some noting that theyde got away with a reflash with a new firmware of the tranny ecu. i will contact my dealer tommorrow to ask more about the reflashing.the "flaring " is not really bothering me that much,but i'm scared its not doing the gearbox much good and dont want more trouble after its out of warranty.

been having some problem with the transmission in my aurion has anyone had any probs with the auto slipping when changing gears? getting the ocassional slip when changing from 2nd to 3rd and also give a rather abrupt thump sometimes when kicking down from 3rd or 4th to 2nd or 3 rd respectivly.had toyota check it out but nothing found .woulnd play up while they had it. Cheers dude. Havent installed it yet, but will post a pic once ive done it. Putting the chrome one on, the black one is spags. The chrome one is really bright, so depends how it looks, might have to colour- code it. I have said it somewhere here before regarding this facia,, the proper side pieces are only available from toyota with the " follow me" tomtom gps head unit for which this facsia is for, retails for $1499. but there are some side pieces that may do the trick in the facsiasonline website,, http://fascias.com.au/product_info.php?cPa...products_id=112 btw,, how can you take a perfectly good aurion and install a piece of **** ebay stereo/lcd screen combo like youve got there?looks terrible.

That one certainly looks interesting. It has similar styling to the one that we were talking about here just with some minor differences. It appears that it has an external GPS unit as you can see in the product photo. It would be interesting to see what its GUI looks like since they have failed to show that in the product listing. It would be a little bit of a risk buying it though unless you could find others that have the same unit. But I guess ther eis always gonna be someone to take the risk. Just like DKzr6 was one of the first ones here to take the plunge and get the Auspack unit. Well finally got my auspack unit installed and after only 3 days of having my unit installed(bought it about 2 months ago)have found a problem with the screen,, appears to have some sort of screen burn in,,when watching all forms of video it shows traces of the radios display right in the center off the screen , where the freq presets are displayed, will contact auspack tommorrow,not happy about haveing to uninstall it to send it back,,,anyone have any ideas?or hav the same prob?aaaarrrrggggghhhhh NOT HAPPY JAN :-(

u got it from toyota? any difference? very interested to know.. yes they definatly do them,, thyre around $30 odd bucks , height wise it will fit perfectly,but you will need to make up some fill in plates for the sides,, the opening is wider than double din,, go to toyota spares and ask for the extra fitting kit that is needed to fit the TOMTOM GPS headunit from the accessorys range ,, i think they call it the Follow me gps or something like that,,its a double din unit and then you buy the fascia your looking for as an extra requirement to fit it properly.unfortunatly the fill plates only come with the tomtom unit,, so you have to make something up.hope this helps.
