  1. It's nobody's thing, but everyone seems to have been there on a sat nite. It was weird how a normal car with a normal family looked so out of place at that time. Dont get me wrong, theres better things to do with your sat nites, but i havent been there in years, and never taken my car there before. Nothing's changed, same old S##T, chicks with attitide and plenty of Habibs pretending they drive a cab

  2. I wouldnt call our tyres crappy, they are bridgestones made in france, very soft, good all round grip, and easy to smoke  . They wont last long because they are a performance tyre, but i found them very quiet.

i like what you said but i understand they are manufactured in south africa. i remember the words "made in sa" on the side wall.

Hmmm thats weird, mine have the "made in France" written on them, who cares though, same compound shouldnt make any difference except that they probably tested my tyres for performance somewhere in france squashing frogs about the place :D

  3. Yeah, i think the colour black at night shines really good, i mean my car waz soo dirty that night i could have written my mobile number on the side  , but it still shined. Lift sounds really really good on that street, i know blow off valvles sound great, but lift roars, it scares people. I took off the VVTi-L stickers off the sides, but you can still see the sportivo badges on the skirt.

Hey Danz you pimpas# daddy, i remember the first time i saw your wheels i thought you had 18's on the car. I take it the girl you mentioned in point 1, became the friend in point 4 :P :P

  4. The painted mudfalps on the levin look better because they have the sideskirts so being the same colour looks like part of the kit. On the Stivo it looks crap, especially on white, it must be toyota's way of trying to sell the back skirt, wich should have been bloody standard. Stupid Marketing. They should have offered factory sunroof as optional, more people would be thinking of buying that instead of the skirt.

  5. Hi Marcin, welcome to the Aussie Forum. The difference between the European Corolla and the Aussie Corolla is mostly cosmetic, around the headlights, and we don't get a 2 door version. Also in Europe i believe they have a 1.6 liter and a diesel, In Australia we only have the 1.8 100kw and the 1.8 141kw(sportivo, known as t-sport). Our cars are made in South Africa, and are right hand drive. Check out some of the members cars. http://www.toyotaownersclub.com/gallery/au

  6. Last nite went to a mates places, we got bored so we decided to do a lap of Chapel Street. Havent been there in a few years, just thought i'd go and check out the local "birdlife" and see if the stivo got any attention. Anyhow it took an hour and a half to do a lap and back, thats how chockers it was. Didnt see any other stivos around, it was all skylines, rexes, and hondas galore. I felt kinda intimidated by all the big turbo's with kits etc, so i gave myself a few metres from the car in front :D , dropped the clutch at 5grand, and lets just say when i hit lift, the whole street echoed, just to let them know i was in town. Even a few guys in their rexes were impressed by the sound and i got a few looks of envy from your typical lancer drivers :D. Alot of people were checking out the car, maybe coz there arent too many in the area, best of all i even got the a long stare from two gorgeous blondes in a convertible CLK. That might not sound like a big thing, but if any of you guys havent been down chappel before, the chicks are the snobbiest ive ever seen. I wouldnt mind a cruise down there one night a few stivos in a row, that would even get the attention of the local cop patrols :D . Anyone encounter similar experiences?

  7. The TRD unit does cost a bit, but i couldnt be bothered looking around, im sure you could get a custom made one for a lot less, i mean all it is really is a pipe with a hole for the air flow meter and a pod, the other parts are easy to get, a few nuts, heck you can even use some parts off the original air box like the hose that connects to the throttle body and use that to attach the cai pipe.

  8. Ive had my car now for a few months. The only niggling problem i have is the noise when rolling backwards if the pads are wet, and my left front shocker is stuffed, i have to see toyota when i get some time before i lower the car. I got the car for around $25Grand on road with toyota employee discount(21%) so i cant complain :D.

  9. My point is that if you read the article and look at the figures, they different to what toyota claims, both in weight and acceleration. The car weights less and is quicker to 100 than factory claim, and that would make the factory claim of 16.1 secs q/m pretty dodgy. Thats my assumption anyway, i could be wrong, and about dragging a V6 camry manual? who knows? havent dragged one yet.
