  1. It's not a dumb question man. The camber kit offsets the wheels by .5 or 1.5 of a degree i think, not sure, but when the car is lowered they sit at an angle for better cornering. Similar to the IRS system on RWD cars, they angle out. The kit on its own is 120 i think. I think it's good to have them when lowering the car so that tyre wear stays the same as stock, otherwise you might get bad tyrewear.

  2. Lift kicked in early, very unusual, i havent heard of that happening before. My opinion, dont buy an old test vehicle for the extra couple of grand because you just dont know who and how they tested the car. Personally i know i would thrash the damn thing in a test drive, like i bet you did :D , but anyway thats my opinion. About the steering, for everyday driving it's just rite. How does the focus compare to the stivo?

  3. I'm getting Eibach, when the shop get them. The drop is between 30 and 35 mm. These springs are supposevly used by TRD and TTE in Europe. They cost me 820 installed including a camber kit as well. The ride is similar to the stock ride, ive been in Peekay, car and it felt very good.

  4. ;) Ive read about enough here,. I think it's time we stop the B******G and just post some useful info. My opinion, if you like the Hands On Stuff, do it youself, if not take the car in to a mechanic. Simple. I personally prefer to do thing myself if i can, otherwise let someone else do it, or give Peekay a ring :D.

  5. Well mine arrived in a TRD motorsports box, however the ***** is a pain to fit, it just doesent sit like i expected, the pod rubs against my left foglight. A major pain, and following those instructions is confusing. Im gona wait a few more days till i get in contact with Peekay. Took me a couple of hours to take the original air box etc out, fit the TRD, then couldnt figure out some tubes so i put the original stuff back in. Im feling . The Matrix is just a little bit different.

  6. I got my service done at 1000k's, cost me $52 bucks for oil and filter change. Next service at 5000k's cost me $110 for oil and service plus other stuff that had to be fixed. Next service at 10000k's is suppose to be $185, but ill change the oil and filter myself and take the car in at 15000 k's to get the stupid stamp saying it got serviced for future selling references. So technically i am servicing the car every 5000k' but only taking the car in to the garage every 10000. The beauty is we dont have timing belts to change as the cam's are chain driven hence the tractor sound of the engine when idiling. At 100,000k's they would have been fairly expensive to change i presume.

  7. The only way water can get in is if you take the car through a deep puddle. I have been in torential rain with the TRD CAI and had no problems. Hey Lucio will you want help fitting the CAI.

It's getting delivered tomorrow (Monday), so ill have a look at it first and see how i go, otherwise ill give you a call, i have your number. I have instructions with pics for the injen so it shouldnt be too much different. Only worry is when youre left with heaps of screws after it's done :D . BTW Thanx for the offer ill see how i go.

  8. For everyday use there is no bloody bodyroll, unless you guys dont know what that is, but if youre gona take the car above recomended speed corners and speed limit then you will get body roll because the suspension is set up to be cumfy not bumpy hence it's a bit looser. I dont blame the car height considering our F***D up roads. A set of Eibach springs should improve the cornering although even as it is, it will outcorner alot of other "sports cars" and remember it has a torsion beam at the back not IRS, but it still handles and steers predictable if kept within its limits.

  9. Mate i know what youre going through, it's the new car syndrome whenre you hear every tick and noise the car makes. I wouldnt worry too much about it, it's a new car and everything has to wear in. I was the same, but now the car is perfect. I was winging about the gearbox, too notchy etc, rattles blah blah blah, brake noise etc. You get used to the brake noise and what the hell you dont drive in reverse all day, the rattles(havent had any dash ones) but the rear one got fixed(loose numberplate), and the gearbox is performing real good

  10. I am really starting to dislike you Lucio! <_<

Now that someone is regularely doing it every time I can't use the excuse "It's the gearbox"

I am now trying my butt off to improve my changes. Practicing a lot coming and going from work. I think I have improved by about 100rpm, falling mostly between 5900 & 6000 where last week it was 5800 & 5900 :(

I guess I better practice some more on my way home tonight!!!

Hey c'mon mate dont be like that :P . I get it to land on 6100, and i havent like practiced it or anytyhing, it just started to happend since my car sort of got over 5000k's on board. I tried my ***** off before doing exactly the same as i am doing now but to no effect. Mind you, you get better at changing and learn the car better after a while. It's a confidence thing.

  11. Im with livfor6 and illuminati, i used Optimax the first couple of times till i hit a crap batch, nop putting it in again unless there is no other choice. Ive used Vortex gold but the car didnt perform as good as synergy 8000. Its my only choice. If its good for McLaren, its good for my rolla.

  12. Hey guys i dont wanna brag but since my car got serviced on monday, I landed in lift everytime i tried from 1st to 2nd. The other day a moron in an old ea/eb v8 fairlane took me on,however the road was not straight, it was a right turn from the lights.I was on the inside lane and lets just say i broke into a wild wheel spin once it hit lift, smoked them up, banged it into second and i was still spinning around 80 k's and the best part, I couldnt even hear the old dinosaur growl, he sounded puny compared to my screamer, and the looser try to cut me off once i slowed down.........he was very very ******. My mate next to me couldnt believe it either. Wait till your box loosens up BlackRolla, it will engage soo much easier. You just gotta love the chirp from 1st to 2nd  followed by a faint smell of burnt rubber.
