  1. wat car will u be in so i can put it in the list??? It'll be a black 05 sportivo
  2. hey hey - put me down man - I'll be there... I haven't been out to one of these events for quite some time... Cheers elbowz17
  3. are shops open that day? coz i'd say it'd be a hell of a fight to get cars in and out of there (pending number of ppl) other suggestion would prob be homebush.. Homebush sounds good Daz...I just wasn't sure where the carparks there were located...But if you PM me more details about the carpark in the olympic centre I'll be more than happy to organise the meet point there.. Cheers Elbowz17
  4. I tried cutting and pasting photos and maps etc but the only shot I could get was a map of the meeting point..... I know the way down to Wollongong from anywhere in Sydney, so I think its best if we all meet down at the Centro Roselands Shopping Centre located just off King Georges Road at Roselands. The address of the shopping centre is Roselands Drive, Roselands. So if we keep the above meeting point as a start and lets say an 11am departure time, that'll get things started. From there, we can all follow each other down the princes hwy, the freeway etc, all the way to the Gong... Cheers! elbowz17 :)
  5. Hey all, Well its that time of the year again where the Easter break and the Anzac Day public holiday are fast approaching during the month of April.... While Easter will be a busy time for everyone and good numbers at a great cruise will be hard to get, I'm hoping to generate some interest in an Anzac Day public holiday cruise from Sydney to Wollongong for the annual SuperCruise event. I'm not sure if the Anzac Day SuperCruise is still running - as I know the event had some drawbacks a few years ago etc - but I'm wondering who'll be interested in attending this year's event from Syndey to Woollongong on the Anzac Day public holiday, Wednesday 25th of April 2007. If anyone one else has more info about this event, please let me know. Otherwise I wouldn't mind organising something for TOCOA on that day if interest levels are above average. So far the meeting point is set for Centro Roselands carpark but a carpark at the Homebush olympic centre might be better - if anyone can supply more details about which street this carpark is off that'll be great. Meet time is 10am for departure at 11am sharp. Interested cruisers so far: * elbowz17 * Big Pete (pending route details) * Saintly * blk toy * Saiya Thanks elbowz17
  6. Sweet - I'm in... We can do the old Berowra Waters and Old Pac Hwy drive... Any other suggestions about the route let me know... Ta Elbowz

  9. Hey all, I've lowered my facelift sportivo using King Springs thru Ozzy Tyres but I'm getting plenty of guard rub when I have just 1 or 2 extra passengers riding with me.... :( I recently fitted 17 x 7 Lenso AGS Racing wheels :) and drove around for a while with the stock suspension (I've got 225/45/17 tyres on there) - the car felt really unsettled and nervous with the change in wheels so I decided it was time for a lowering job to improve the ride. Finally I got it dropped 2" all around and was happy with the ride quality until I had 4 people in the car last sat night - The thing scrubs up like crazy... and its driving me nuts Would rolling the guards eliminate this?? Or should I just get rid of these spings and std shocks and go coilovers??? The ride isn't stiff enough, so I'm thinking coilovers.... What do you guys think?? Thanks elbowz17 ;)
  10. I've noticed my fuel consumption has gone up about 1L per 100km (From 8.2 to 9.2) after I changed over to 17" wheels. Don't know why...
  11. hey hey - sorry for the late response... I ended up buying the rims for $500 (woo hoo) and I have a mate who owns a tyre shop - so I should get some good rubber for a great price. I'll have them fitted in 4 weeks time because I'm getting the following done at the same time: - Rear C-one wings (I'm yet to source these), - Face-lift eye lids (Custom-Made), - Internal & External Neons (RED), - Lowered springs (2-3 inch drop), and - Finally tune my system. I'll be at the next Sydney Cruise hopefully with everything on by then.. Cheers guys! PS: I'll have pics posted under 'Members rides' as soon as I have completed everything...
  12. Feelin' HOT HOT HOT... Very sexy car bro.. Hey are those 18s on there??? Oh, and where did you get those eye lids from.. I've got an 05 stivo which I'm starting to work on - can I PM you for more details?? Cheers Saleem
  13. Hey hey all you rolla lovers - I need some advice... I've been shopping around for a while now to change my stock '05 Stivo's rims to something that'll make it look faster when its standing still. The Lenso AGS Racing wheel is what I've narrowed it down to (2nd prize goes to the Lenso Six Speed, and 3rd prize to the chrome finished Ryver wheel by Work.) but I'm not sure whether I should go for the 17s or 18s. I've been quoted $1150 (inc. Tyres) for the 17"x7" and have been told that the 18"x7.5" will not fit to the '05 Stivo. I'd love to have these wheels in 18" as it makes the car look PHAT but I've been turned off by the fact that all the wheel retailers in Sydney keep telling me that the 18s don't fit my car - even though they've never tried one on. I found these 17x7s on Ebay for under $600 without tyres ( http://cgi.ebay.com.au/BRAND-NEW-LENSO-17-...1QQcmdZViewItem ) and now I'm thinking I can do the whole job (wheels, tyres, lowering) for under $1100. I have 2 issues: i) what do you guys think of the rims? and ii) do you think I should stick with the 17s, or pursue fitting 18s on? PS: I only drive this thing on weekends... Cheers all SAL33M
  14. Hey Hey - Newcastle sounds great - I'm up for it for sure... Since we're already through Mid-May how about we make this one Mid-June... Say Sat 17th June or Sun the 18th.. Either way I'm up for it... SAL33M :)
  15. Boys & Girls, Ladies and Gentlemen, Anzac Day is upon us once more this coming Tuesday the 25th of April 2006. I know that there's usually been a Supercruise set-up (by whom I don't know) for the Children's Hospital from Sydney to Wollongong annually, but I don't have any info... Does anyone know what's going on? Meeting Points? Sticker Purchases etc??? I'm going for a drive to Wollongong on Tuesday anyway (whether its happening or not), is anyone else interest?? Thanx Elbowz :D
  16. I've read what you guys have read, and you've now talked me into finding a head unit.. I quite like a few decks, but Pioneer and JVC have some of the more funky ones. I found the Pioneer 9650 and JVC Exad. I've attached a picture FYI - what do you think?? The JVC has a built-it 3in monitor which you can watch DVDs etc on.. The pioneer is MP3 with graphics.. I'm leaning towards the JVC.. Elbowz :)
  17. Hey Rolla Lovers, I'm in the process of updating the sound system in my '05 Stivo and although I don't like the look of the standard head unit I do like the functionality. I mean it has the 6 stacker and MP3 capabilities - which is great - but can I run an Amp & Sub off the standard unit for greater bass. I'm thinking of using the current standard front & rear speakers for treb only while I upgrade to bigger (clearer) bass by hooking up an Alpine Mono amp (1x600W) to a 12" Alpine Type R sub. I've heard the gear in the car of a friend of mine (200SX) and it sounds great but he's got a new unit, splits, amps & sub. So any suggestions would be awesome.. Cheers Guys & Girls Elbowz :D
  18. Hey KT, Dude I'm def. in for a set of Red ones. :D I was close to buying a set of blue ones the other day but it doesn't match the red theme I have in my black beast. Red TRD seat covers, red dials (as with every stivo), red console lights, and red parking lights - so red door sills definately finish off the red theme.. Thanks again.. Elbowz :)
  19. Hey guys, :D I've got an '05 Stivo and would love to have this mod done to it because of the massive torque hole under 3-4000rpm, but the thing that worries me is the durability of the gear box, diff & engine with this ECU mod. I mean what does the extra torque do to the gear box - will the modification destroy it?? And what about starving the engine of fuel, or is that rectified by the Apexi Unit? And would any exhaust be OK with this modification, or does it have to be a specific unit? I'm asking these questions because i) I've heard a heap of sad mod stories of mod jobs gone wrong because the modder has forgotten to ask the right questions or their mechanics had cut corners which ended up in rides being destroyed , and ii) as with all forum members, I'd be shattered to see my car had blown to bits because I didn't modify my exhaust or tune my PC adequately. :( :( I love the theory of 'Plug-and-Play' and I know that when the Falcon XR6 Turbo came out and APS were the first to offer performance kits to boost power from the standard 240kw to almost 300kw by piggy-backing the Factory PC with a 'Unichip' ECU, a heap of other workshops started doing exhaust mods impressing their clients with Dyno numbers. :D My mate's XR6 Turbo ute was a prime example - brand new ute, modified the exhaust, got to 300kw, loved the dyno numbers, 2 weeks later he was at his dealer asking for a new gearbox because this one blew up. It blew up because of too much torque. Example 2 - new WRX with modified exhaust, engine gone because of fuel starvation. And the stories go on and on. If you guys can give me answers to this that'll be great. Oh and one more question, does this Apexi unit (or any other similar unit) actually over-ride the original computer or does it just help it the original enhance mapping?? Here's the link to the Motor Magazine review of the Phase I APS kits for the XR6 Turbo if you're interested: http://www.airpowersystems.com.au/falcon/m...ix_shooter1.htm Cheers & go Northy - lookin' good bro.. Elbowz :)
  20. Hey Guys, Sorry i couldn't make it last night, amm..My pet rabbit was having babies (cough, cough) :P I was going to leave home at about 9, but thought you'd already started to roll for the cuise at that time - if I'd known you left at 9.30 I would've come along.. About meeting up every second week, I don't have a problem with that - especially now that uni is over for another 3 months or so.. See you at the next cruise.. Elbowz PS: Any cop worries like the mountain cruise??
  21. Hehehehehe... Thanks for all the responses peoples, but I agree with BanGn - my mind was made up yest. arvo when I saw a Red '05 Stivo with a very low spring kit setting with the stock 16" rims still attached parked at the local shopping centre, the thing looked HOT HOT HOT. So I thought "if it looks this good with King Springs, Imagine what I could do with adjustable suspension" - so Coil's it is.. The other thing I managed to do was a little research (and that really pays off).. I know what to look out for now (the different no. of adjustable positions, the option of camber adjustments, the monotube concept, etc) but I'm still in limbo about the best brand of adjustable coilovers in the market. I've read threads about the D2 components and I've seen them in action, but people are worried about the people building the "custom" design for the rollas and the reliability issues etc. I've looked at the Tiens and they seem to be OK for the price (plus the fact that you can attached it to a computer for automated adjusting from within the cabin at the tip of the driver's fingure) - but the last "guess-timate" i was quoted ($2500 inc electroc unit) left me in tears. I won't be using my car for track work, but I'd love it to handle like it's on rails - I wanna scare my mates a bit more. So thanks again and I'll keep you all updated about the Suspension upgrade. The question now is who to trust and where to shop.. Cheers Elbowz PS: I've already got a house, but I'm still working on the Ferrari
  22. Hey Rolla Boys and Girls, I have a dilemma!! I've got some cash to spend on mods and don't know whether to: 1) put coil-over suspension and keep the stock 16s, 2) get rid of the 16s and upgrade to 17s or 18s with a change of springs, or 3) to spend that money on a decent sound system.. What do you guys think? The only decent set of wheels I've been impressed with are custom made in Melbourne - a TOC member is helping me with the info. What would you do? Its a Black '05 Stivo.. Cheers Elbowz
