  1. I've got the Toyota Liner too. It's one of the first things I get in a car - the boot liner. Saved me from all sorts of things. Just a note though, that it is rather soft. I was rolling it up in a hurry to put the third row up, and the liner caught on an umbrella, and got a hole poked through it. I was suprised how easily the umbrella went through it. On the upside though the rubber seems to have contracted back around the hole, and I can't even see it now unless I go looking.
  2. I've got the ATLANTIS 780, and thoroughly recommend it. It does seem expensive for a plastic box. Seems like the price is pretty much fixed wherever you go. No one seems willing to discount. I like the Thule because it's really easy to get on and off with the locking mechanism. You just put the box on and hand tighten the clamps. Only takes a few seconds. The Thule racks can also be key matched, so you only need one key for the racks and the pod. I really enjoy using it. Previously I had a rhino, and it wasn't really as sturdy. One side of the dual side opening broke, and I couldn't get it fixed, because the supplier no longer keeps parts. Really noticed the difference in quality. Took me quite a while to get it on & off the roof. Wasn't too bad, but it was annoying at times, when I just wanted to take it off for a while. I ended up leaving it on for weeks after I came home, till I got round to taking it off. I use my roof box to go to the snow a couple of times a year, and usually camping or other trips away with the family. Really handy. I wish I'd bought a Thule first time round. Good luck ps. if you're interested in my old rhinobox, (it only opens from one side now) send me a message. I'm in Sydney
  3. I got the unit replaced today. Took a couple of hours. But all seems to work now. And they have reconnected the iPod adapter. I think they're sending the unit back to Melbourne to be dissasembled so my CD can be taken out. Seems like a lot of trouble just to get a CD out! Anyway, didn't cost me anything.
  4. Hi, hoping someone can help me. I have a 2008 Grande (2 months old). Satnav with the CD changer behind the screen. I put a CD into the changer, and it doesn't show up as being in there. I can't eject it. And I can't play anything anymore. When I put the CD in, it made a lot of whirring noises, and then flashed a message that says "Check CD1" I can put other discs in and eject them (but nothing plays anymore). Just wondering if there's a simple way to get that disc out. Toyota is ordering me a new unit, but it seems a bit radical to have to replace the whole satnav screen etc, just to get a disc out. Also, when I bought it, I got Toyotat to put in an iPod connection (the one which you can control from the satnav screen). I'm worried that when they replace the changer etc, that this might not get reconnected properly. Anyone know of any simple way to force the CD changer to eject everything that's in there? Thanks Adrian

    Voice Dial

Sorry guys, this might sound silly but... I've been playing with the phonebook all night. I can't work out where to record the voice tags! I go to the edit screen, but there's no option to record a voice tag, like the picture in the manual. Is there a second edit screen hidden away somewhere? Thanks Adrian
  6. Bought a Kluger Grande Today. Almost bought a CX9 though. Spoke to a friend who bought a KXS via his fleet discount. Really cheap. That did worry me about what resale price I would be getting, when there are all these fleet discounts being traded in / resold in 3 yrs time. Seems to be about $4k better than what a personal buyer can get. I think he ends up out of pocket $43k for his FWD KXS with roof racks, mudflaps, tint & mats.

    Kluger Price

I think I'm alomost a Kluger owner! :) Ordered today (Silver) and should be getting it hopefully Friday or the Tuesday after. Saw some of the prices on this forum and was amazed, but the best I could do was $64,250 driveaway for the AWD Grande. including: Floor Mats Rear Cargo Mat Front & Rear Parking Sensors Roof Rack Cross Bar Side Steps Weathershields x2 Tow Bar Ipod Fitment / Accessory Jack installation Window Tinting 6yr / 175k warranty Couple of questions: Parking sensors are itemised under the Non-Genuine Accessory Heading. Just wondering if I should be concerned about this? Is the 6yr warranty standard? I was told that it was a special, if I got my car serviced by the dealership. I noticed Mazda (I was considering a CX9) also offered the same thing. The dealer said he thought the ipod fitment installed an accessory jack for the ipod, as the Grande has no jack. (Retail price about $490). Does anyone know if this is correct?
