  1. I love your Corolla. It makes me want my AE102 back. Very tasteful mods and I love the custom Corolla stickers in the engine bay :P Wish it was in this country so I could enjoy it in person! Peace
  2. God I want both the Blade and the FT-86. But if it comes down to it, I would only get the Blade if it comes as all-wheel or rear-wheel drive. Given that the FT-86 is definitely going to be rear-wheel drive I'm more tempted by that until more details of the V6 Corolla come out.
  3. Hey mate, thats cool we have the same birthday.. I used to have a 102 CSX, same as yours. I sold her when I got my MR2.. Really miss her (not that I dont like the MR2 though)

You coming to the National meet?

  4. I'm going to try and make it to this meet. It would be good to meet some of you guys before the national meet so I'm going to do my best to make it out there.
  5. Hey Jazz, looks like you will have one hot Corolla there once you are done with it. Just wondering what those rims are and what size they are? They look awesome. Peace
  6. I'm in. Seriously regret not going down to Melbourne last year and since this is in Sydney I don't really have an excuse do I? So at least one MR2 is on board. Peace.
  7. Hey guys, I am looking at buying a '93 SW20 non-turbo MR2, and when I took it for a drive today the steering got very heavy at manuvering speeds and I assumed that the car simply didnt have power assistance. When I asked the seller about it he said that it does have power steering (which I believe is correct as I think only the Bathurst's didnt have power steering, is that right?).. It doesn't truly matter to me whether the car has power steering or not, I just wanted to know if the extra weight added at manuvering speeds was a normal thing for MR2's or if it means there is a problem with the steering assistance that may need fixing. Cheers,
  8. My corolla has done 287,000 k's and it'll probably go quite a lot more. just keep your car serviced regularly and keep your oil and such topped up as frequently as possible and it'll go for a fair trek past 150,000 k's. Peace
  9. I saw you leaving Hornsby Westfield last night. The car looks and sounds fantastic! Nice work. Peace
  10. depending on which idea is chosen i would be able to catch everyone up around Thornleigh and go from there. I think both ideas are all good, though I think that there may be more parking on the other side of the bridge up near brooklyn, Mooney Mooney side has a big boat ramp and quite a large parking area. (depending on how many people are coming would really determine the need for this) Though right up the end of Brooklyn is a very nice spot. I'd probably be more up for something during the day either tomorrow or Saturday, I would need to know what time people would be heading through Thornleigh though, unless I just met everyone up at Brooklyn and went from there. Peace
  11. Old Pacific Highway is a great drive, not sure where everyone is location wise, but id be up for something up around that way. Couple of places around Brooklyn where a good few cars could park for a shoot or some such. I dunno, just my two cents. Id be in for friday or saturday depending on where and what. Peace
  12. The parkers do look odd, but they dont look bad. I like the lights, nice choice with the white. If you want to change the parkers go for it.. but i dont think it really needs to be done. Peace
  13. Id be up for option 2.. Auburns a bit of a trek for me so ill have to see if i can make it.. but sounds good.
  14. The engine will never die on a corolla. you can put as many K's on it as you want. The car will fall apart long before the engine stops working (obviously if it is properly maintained..) Peace.
  15. love the pics from the cruise. Some really nice shots you got there. My CSX, to be honest, isnt quite as glistening as yours, though it does look nice when shined up a bit.. I might just use your guide to give her the shine she deserves. Post pics of the lights when you have them in, would love to see how they look! Peace.
  16. looks very nice. I have a CSX as well.. great car. Got any plans for this one yet?
  17. Nice Corolla, mate. Looks clean de-badged. I'm not too fond of the rear end on these 'rollas, but it does look nice here though! Any other mods planned for this one?
  18. '96 Corolla Seca, done what... nearly 280,000 K's... Just starting to break it in as far as i'm concerned :P (although it is starting to show some serious signs of wear) Peace.
  19. Thats beautiful.. Looks great in the last few pics after the wash. One of the nicest looking camry's ive seen. Peace.
  20. My CSX is the 1.8.. if that makes much of a difference. I will have to go and check out Castle Hill and see what they have around. Thanks for the advice, I'm going to look into a suspension upgrade first and then just go from there. Cheers.
  21. Hey guys, as the title says, just wondering where you guys get the parts for your cars? More specifically TRD pieces, I'm just trying to get an idea for when I decide to start upgrading my car a bit and I just want to know if there are any good places in Sydney or anywhere in Australia really. And also what upgrades you guys might reccommend for a '95 Corolla CSX Seca, Im not looking to spend bucket loads of money on the car and im not so into visual upgrades (kits and such) for the time being. Looking more for handling and only slight performance upgrades. Cheers.
  22. Beautiful ride mate. White Aurions are just about my favourite.. I'm aiming for one soon if i can get some good money together. looks slick on the lower suspension, nice wheels too. Peace.
  23. Thanks for the advice guys. My local BP guys said that it is probably the wheel bearings too and i have checked (from your advice) myself and it would appear that that is the problem. So once I figure out how to get the money then that will be the first thing i get fixed. Cheers again, i'll let you guys know how it goes.
  24. First off, hey guys. This is a great forum and I am seriously jealous of the rides that I have seen so far. Also I'm not sure where to put this so.. its here unless someone wants to move it. I have a 1996 Corolla CSX Seca 1.8 liftback. It has done.. 270,000 k's (I know its alot), it is completely stock and the previous owner didnt take the best of care of it. Onto the problem, recently it started to make a terrible clunking noise that seemed to be coming from the front wheels mainly in first and second (but not limited to them) at low revs, I took it to a kmart service centre and they couldnt pinpoint the problem but assumed that seeing as my engine mounts were the most worn out, that is what they would replace. $400 and new rear mounts later the rattle stopped. Now, 2 months on, the noise is back and has been joined by the most terrible squeak I have ever heard that is there under braking and also when I turn right, though it is slowly progressing to the point that it is there nearly all the time. The local BP service station has had a look at it but wont be able to do anything for a couple of days and they, again, cant actually pinpoint the exact problem. Now I am not mechanically minded and this is my first car so I was just wondering if any of you guys with a bit more experience or knowledge might be able to help me out. Just if any of you have had similar problems or if you have encountered anything like this before and may have an idea about what it could be that would be great. The squeak sounds as though it is coming from the front suspension, and the clunk sounds like it did before I had the mounts replaced so I can only assume that the clunk is the same issue. Cheers for any help, If the car survives the ordeal I'll give you guys a peak.
