    Help!

The civic sport uses a 2.0L vtec engine im pretty sure similar specs to the base DC5. You really need to drive all 3 and make up your own mind. This is a Toyota forum so you wont be able to escape the biased opinions. My choices would be on the other hand though - mazda sp23, sportivo and civic even for me.. though i like the thought of having a newer car.. and about the car being made in thailand? i'd reckon they are more dedicated then people in south africa. Asian countries are not dodgy but very strict and put alot more pride in their work
  2. its like my ex's supra i think its for traction control? or lets you shift manually?
  3. thanks guys! i try to keep it clean every day by going to the wash just to rinse my wheels
  4. hehe 20" can easily fit coil overs on the car so it can be adjusted within 10 minutes
  5. Here's a better picture taken from another angle! looks ok.. I think its not as sexy as most cars but its my daily driver
  6. It was lower.. :D 7cm off the ground. I could get into work! but not out of work so ive raised it to a sensible 12cm lol
  7. Hi sorta new here.. Have registered but haven't really been on much Names Mike, and I drive an MR2 Hope to meet up with you local Sydney boys soon at the next meet to say hello. Here's an old pic with the tiny 16" wheels I had Just warning you now.. I got chrome but its too late now that Ive got them on there. Love it or hate it see you guys later! btw can i request to have my nick changed from sw20r to mike2? thanks!
  8. Depends on his power goals for upto 200RWKW side mount greddy will do but for anymore id suggest a water 2 air intercooler these can be ordered through repco who buys them of PWR
  9. ^^ what a stupid response if your attached to the car would you ditch it for a turbo? what if you've babbied it and spent all this $$ what are the chances of you finding a car thats better then you currently have. rear cut - 4-7k install 2-3k ring bd4's best guys in business for mr2s
  10. you can take the s.c unit off, use a bigport twin cam ae82 inlet manifold, and swap over the other running gear too. it will be very slow due to the super low compression. but you can get a $20 exemption to drive the car check the rta site
  11. Nissans are slow even with turbo :P The 3S has no problems with other 2.0L midly modified silvias out there (exhaust, boost, fmic) Always gets 1.5-2 Car lengths at launch MR traction :D The skyline GTS-T's arent worth the effort either they are slower then the SR20's. I Drive my friends one from time to time and man. It feels like a 1ZZFE! Big power bottom end for 2seconds then tappers off. 0-100kms is roughly 9-10 seconds with no launch. Though with a decent take of it would be about 8 seconds. They are big boats of a car! The Key to beating turbo cars on the street is the Launch. Becuase Lag kills :(
  12. My old 95' tarago was a 2.4L? it did about 400-450Kms average. Why not go for the turbo disel version? More torque is alot handier! You'd get more milage but not good speeds with the D. You'll find it very sluggish to get to 120kms from 100kms it would take upto 10 seconds to gain another 5-10kms on highway speeds so over taking is a no no. I'd admit the estima looks alot nicer and THE MR layout abosoutely awesome! Have you test driven on yet? They drive like go karts even for a big fatty like the tarago is!
  13. The twin engine one I belive is an AE92 I've seen it before just can't remember where. Too bad engineering will cost your balls to have those cars here :P
