  1. Can you scan it and post to here? Give this a try. Remember that there is no Aurion in the US and that they have 6 cyl Camrys. Also everything on here needs to be reversed as LHDT_NV008_07.pdf Thank you. :)

  3. lol, At first I didnt know what you guys were talking about. I was like "eh" But now i see it. (tomas the tank engine style) The second picture is smiling alright, pulling huge cheesey ones. I didnt even notice. I think your right, way to happy, for my liking. .....................Quick edit: Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnn now thats all i can see when i look at it. :) :) :D :D :) :) :D :D :D :D I don't understand this "aggression" thing. Why would anyone want to be seen as aggressive? Explain it to me please. Seriously. "Don't worry, be happy". With the current economic climate this may become a very important approach to life in the next year or two for many, many people. Start with the basics...aggressive cars! No such thing. Aggressive drivers...now they're a fact of life. well arent you just all sunshine and butterflies hehehe :P how about try this for size? cars that relect the agressivness (maybe only a desire for some) of the driver??? nah, I'm not...but I don't go out of my way to be the other either. I don't understand your last sentence! ;) I could understand a 5 foot, 90lb weakling sitting on a cushion at the wheel wanting to improve his profile...sort of a natural thing, but for most of the population it just doesn't make sense to me. **pats "boxerboy" on the top of the head gentally** its ok... you just dont understand..... I understand patronising ;) A pat on the head would bring out some controlled assertiveness in my response.

  6. Interesting. I liked the blacked out version because it looked a "happier" vehicle. :)
  7. Re:boot space. last week my family of 4 went away for 2 nights. 1 full golf bag and one kids golf bag. 3 medium size overnight bags. Some assorted other stuff...all fit in ok without boot lid pressure. On the way back we added a few things so it was then getting towards tight. Seemed almost as good as the Commodore boot we just ditched. Abour colour...have you seen the new "reef"? Noice!
  8. I've had mine for 4Kks now, and find it to be brilliant. My main purpose for having a car is family transport, and with 2 kids I find the Aurion superior to the Commodore. I traded a C'dore. Handling and safety are very good. The auto gearbox works better than what I'm used to, but the Honda one would be better I think. Space is plenty, appointments very good, and limited only by your wants and budget. Boot space is adequate for my needs, and power is more than enough. On a recent 600k+ road trip I managed less than 9litres/100ks. That was total ks div by total litres, not a trip computer. I was also looking at the Accord, but they were still a tad more $. Resale is crap for all these cars...expect 50% depreciation at 5 years, 80-90% at 10 years.. Honda may have its nose in front here however. It's not much.
  9. I've just done a 635k drive, mostly sensible hwy driving a tad over the limit, with occasional spirited overtaking. The tank was full to the brim at the very beginning of this trip. Tyre pressures at 32 kpi all round. The fuel warning light came on at 630ks...that's 10.5 litres left isn't it? The tank took 55 litres. I estimate 8.66litres per 100ks. I'm happy with that. Car is a 14mth old ATX, with 22Kks on the odo. On the same run, my previous Commodedore needed 10 litres put in on the home stretch to get home. <_<
  10. Haha...like it was mentioned in another thread, these youngsters must be sellin' something! That car would fit the bill, if it was black. Maybe it does anyway! ;) ;)
  11. Thanks...it's a wee more complicated on the bike, so the reassurance of plug and play is helpful. Cheers.
  12. I have a Stebel horn I was going to put on my bike, which already has Fiamm's. However, the Aurion horn is a little anaemic, I've heard better on a step thru, so I'm thinking maybe the car should get the Stebel. Where do I start?
  13. I've got a couple of angles on this thread...the way it's going at least. I got my car license at 31. Spent many years in the inner city, studying at uni. The push bike was my mode of transport, other than public transport. I did get my motorcycle license when I was 23/24. I think I have developed a road sense that's saved my hide on numerous occasions. From the point of view of the motorcyclist, many drivers are insane, not just P platers. FWD's with mum's picking up kids and tradies on the move are the two "groups" I see on the phone, even texting whilst driving. It's a daily sight for me. Every f***ing day . Almost from day one on the road, I have taken the view to look for trouble, avoid the usual circumstances eg blind spots, and utilise a mixture of offensive and defensive techniques. [knock on wood]So far, so good...[/knock on wood] I have escaped the dreaded rear-ender twice. You guessed it, a mum with kids and a tradie in a small truck. He did clip me using evasive steering. Now, I will always filter to the front, b/w cars to get to the front. It's not to be first in line, it's to be out in front, and more safely protected from behind...I don't routinely ride high hp squid bikes, and I'm not delusional about my skills. I'm not Mick Doohan and nor will I wear lollipop leathers that make me look like Mick Doohan. Aurion drivers are, of course, very courteous and all drive with perfect road manners. ;) The point of all this...perspective. We will see what is important to us, as individual drivers. Unfortunately, the roads are full of other individual drivers, many of them have no idea anyone else exists. Take care.
  14. Yes...the ages seem skewed to youth when the car seems to get a "Toyota boring" tag, unwarranted, much of the time. Maybe they're all 45 year olds that feel early 20's when they're driving their Aurion? <_< :D
  15. 50, Boy, MwKx2 reasons: family vehicle required. Holdens and Fords too big and don't get the quality reports I was after. I hate large FWDs...legacy of a motorcyclist! Traded a C'dore Acclaim for the Aurion, at 12 months/18K ks. Toyota reliabilty, frugal large engine, a few extra goodies, successful haggling and the deal was done. It was either the Aurion or a Maxima. How do you young'uns at age 21 afford a $30K+ car? I was riding a pushie 'til I was 25, then bought a motorcycle.
  16. I thought y'all might like a l'il story.. A Japanese company ( Toyota ) and an American company (Ford Motors) decided to have a canoe race on the Missouri River. Both teams practiced long and hard to reach their peak performance before the race. On the big day, the Japanese won by a mile. The Americans, very discouraged and depressed, decided to investigate the reason for the crushing defeat. A management team made up of senior management was formed to investigate and recommend appropriate action. Their conclusion was the Japanese had 8 people rowing and 1 person steering, while the American team had 7 people steering and 2 people rowing. Feeling a deeper study was in order; American management hired a consulting company and paid them a large amount of money for a second opinion. They advised, of course, that too many people were steering the boat, while not enough people were rowing. Not sure of how to utilize that information, but wanting to prevent another loss to the Japanese, the rowing team's management structure was totally reorganized to 4 steering supervisors, 2 area steering superintendents and 1 assistant superintendent steering manager. They also implemented a new performance system that would give the 2 people rowing the boat greater incentive to work harder. It was called the 'Rowing Team Quality First Program,' with meetings, dinners and free pens for the rowers. There was discussion of getting new paddles, canoes and other equipment, extra vacation days for practices and bonuses. The pension program was trimmed to 'equal the competition' and some of the resultant savings were channeled into morale boosting programs and teamwork posters. The next year the Japanese won by two miles. Humiliated, the American management laid-off one rower, halted development of a new canoe, sold all the paddles, and canceled all capital investments for new equipment. The money saved was distributed to the Senior Executives as bonuses. The next year, try as he might, the lone designated rower was unable to even finish the race (having no paddles,) so he was laid off for unacceptable performance, all canoe equipment was sold and the next year's racing team was out-sourced to India . Sadly, the End. Here's something else to think about: Ford has spent the last thirty years moving all its factories out of the US , claiming they can't make money paying American wages. TOYOTA has spent the last thirty years building more than a dozen plants inside the US The last quarter's results: TOYOTA makes 4 billion in profits while Ford racked up 9 billion in losses. Ford folks are still scratching their heads, and collecting bonuses... IF THIS WEREN'T SO TRUE IT MIGHT BE FUNNY
  17. Yep, but it's very slight. The steering wheel oscillates very mildly. I was out this arvo, and my car does move to the left, but it took about 100ms to get half way across the lane. I'd put that down to the road camber...or should I? I'll need to get on a freeway and see how it goes there.
  18. Interesting thread. Hello, new owner here. I have noticed at 110kph, my ATX will vibrate a little at the steering wheel, but I'm yet to notice the left drift. I'll take more notice in the following week. Thanks for the forum and the info.
