  1. I'm keen to give the little Rolla a good run. I'll give a definitive answer closer to the date
  2. Just my 2 cents. A 100,000km service should include a Timing Belt change unless your car is running a Timing chain. (A little bit of research will let you know.) Just got the Timing Belt done on my little rolla and it set me back $350 or so at Armour Automotive in Kingswood (Just out of penrith).
  3. Damn, wish I found this post earlier. I ran mine through a rubber bung that the heater/aircon pipes run through. Pops out nice and high above the glove box so that it doesn't get ugly. To look at my car you wouldn't know it had an amp in the boot. Even my pretty red power cable has black casing around it, all stealth like.
  4. Setting a Reminder in my phone to polish Alby on Saturday. See you guys there!
  5. +1... I'm all good to go now that Alby has a new Timing Belt. Sweet as Candy for another 100,000km.
  6. nah mate, carmate don't stock anything worthwhile for my model rolla, unless you like homah gauwd youleh, check out mah fulleh sick rolla!!!
  7. When's the next one guys? I'd love to get out there and meet you fellas. Especially some more ae112 drivers =P. I've got a mate in an 04 stivo that says he's keen too.
  8. Good to see another Sydney sider cruising in an ae112. It's rare to find one outside of retiring homes these days. haha.
  9. You can pick up a Simota pipe and Filter From AutoJoy in Parramatta for the 98-01 ae112 (bug and facelift). Got it for Alby(my car) about a year ago, can't remember the price, but it sounds like sex (if two rhinos are having a go). Well worth the $ in smiles
  10. If you're still after this I have an electronic Haynes manual for the AE112 7-AFE.. found it some time last year.
  11. Toyota would be the obvious option, but carmate sell them too.
  12. I'm going to try and carry the black and white theme throughout, interior included. But I'll also run chrome accents here and there for added nom nom. Hopefully I can source the black backed booster tuning tail lights from Germany. These Ones
  13. Hey guys, just thought I'd share these few shots. After about 2 years of looking at rims and trying to make a decision, I finally took the plunge.
  14. Looking at both actually... Although I'm skeptical about the tail lights being an exact fit. It'd be the only company in the world that made them if they matched. Also, any idea what the max rim size is that these rollas will take willingly? I'm looking at a nice set of 18x8's
  15. I know I'm bringing back a dead thread here... but I've found something interesting. A company in Germany, Booster Tuning, manufactures Eyelids, Front grills, tail-lights etc for the ae112. Eyelids. I know in Australia, Penrith Toyota used to stock parts from these guys, but has since changed management and they no longer get the parts... My question is this; Who the hell can I buy this **** off in Aus?
  16. How you all doing... I too have a 2000 ae112, mines the ascent liftback though... with the fat rear end :P Quick question, with the panel K&n filter... would people reccomend this over a pod filter?... advantages, disadvantages?
  17. Same power figures ay! hmm... sounds like fun... Yeh see i know alot of people do up the ae110/111 but theres barely anything to make the ae112 liftback pretty looking, not many bodykits, lights, etc. Not that I've found anywho... everythings a different shape between them... only thing that seems to be the same is the mechanics... I could be wrong. lol. I'm a rolla n00b when it comes to modifying... used to have a 1981 Ke55 sweet as :( kinda miss it. Thanks for ur help guys... I'm thinking of doing the whole 4AGE top half 7A-FE bottom half and turbo its nuts off thing... we'll see how we go ;)
  18. Ah so it's just a temp sensor... niiice... Thankyou, the help is much apreciated... It's so hard to find info on the bloody ae112 noone seems to modify them ;)
  19. I want to raplce my factory annoyingly quiet airbox with a nice grunty filter ;) lol Problem is.. i have sensor in the side of my airbox, my old man (who has worked in toyota parts for about 20 years) tells me that it is the airflow sensor... If i was to install a pod filter and piping and move the air flow sensor into the piping rather than the side of the airbox would this cause problems... I imagine the air flow dynamics in the air box are different to those in the pipe... will my ecu get false readings? Figured you were the guys to ask... thanks :(
  20. Thanks for your help mate, i was thinking more today and i figured it would be better to paint them... but i was thinking of actually seperating the lens from the light and painting the inside of the lens rather than the outside, this way i could put strange designs on my tail lights, could make things interesting :P
  21. Hi all, I'm Dave Just aquired myself a 2000 Corolla Ascent liftback. She's stock as a rock, however, on the way to greatness. I have called my new rolla Alby, this name was devised by my mates as she is nice and white like an albino. :D I've been surfing this site all morning for some clue as to how on earth im meant to open up the double din stereo holster on top of the dash and eventually found an answer, so this arvo mod number 1 begins, installation of my brand new head deck. woohoo! Plans on paper at this point in time are: *Hyper black rims with polished lip *Nice extractors and a 2/12" dumped tip exhaust *Cold induction *Green neons throughout *Custom tail lights (Most probably a D.I.Y job as altezza lights don't seem to exist for the liftback) Shall keep everyone posted on the upgrades, however any external upgrades may take a while as I'm on my green P's and don't particularly like being a police target as nice rims and exhausts tend to make you. Will add piccies when I've set up my photobucket :P
  22. Does anyone know if it is possible to obtain some after market tail lights for a 2000 corolla seca ascent liftback? I've just got myself the twin headlight (facelift) version of the ae112 and i am looking for some nice ways to set myself out from the rest. :D I have seen readily avaliable altezza lights for the sedan, but none for the liftback. If noone can help me i guess im cutting my current lights open and doing some D.I.Y , However, if it can be avoided that would be good. lol. :P
