Hello, I am new here and just wanted to ask a question. It is very rare but occasionally I find 2006 Commonwealth games Camry Azura's online for sale, does anyone know how many of these were made and any more information such as engine type I'm sure it would be a 1MZ-FE but there's very little information out there that I can find, I couldn't even find much in the way of newspaper articles or online forums. Another thing I wanted to know were these used by the athletes and staff during the Melbourne Commonwealth games or were they just a special edition and the last thing I wanted to know was how much they were at retail price as they seem to have more extras than even the Sportivo and when I have seen them for sale they still go for about $7500 private sale and that's with high KM'S . Cheers, I am thankful for any help.

Living in Australia, I have recently found out that some of the ZZE range Corollas were made in South Africa. Being nieve, I had assumed that all of that generation corolla was built in Japan. Does anyone know the differences between those manufactured in South Africa vs those in Japan. Specifically, i have an '06 model and want to know if parts between the two builds are the same. I have heard rumours that door handles maybe be slightly different but not sure of anything else. I haven't been able to find much on the internet either so any experience would be most appreciated.

Hi, the ignition key to our 2006 Corolla lost its internal circuit block after the case with the buttons fell apart. We've been unable to find the part that fell out. We have a second key which is still working. Is there a smarter/cheaper way to get a second key back as I'm being told Toyota want $230 for the key blank, pay extra to locksmith to cut the key, then pay $70 to Toyota service to program the key. It all seems like a really bad joke considering this only happened due to faulty Toyota key design causing it to break. If I don't get a second key back and the sole working key is lost apparently its fatal for the car. Anyone been through this before, particularly in Melbourne?

Can anyone tell me approximately how many kilometers original clutch should last in one of these Corollas please? I have one with 150,000km, which is getting intermittent problem with clutch pedal staying down near floor making it impossible to change gears. If you manually pull the pedal back up level with brake it goes back to normal and stays that way until it does it again. I would like to know if the pedal is supposed to do that to indicate clutch replacement is due? If not any ideas what causes the clutch pedal to do that please?

Hi guys, just bought a later model 2006 Camry Sportivo (Auto) and there's a whirring noise whenever I start it up or begin to accelerate from rest, however this goes away when it is starting to drive. I've been told it's a 'flexi-pipe' vibration, and that there's nothing you can do to prevent the noise, as a replacement will still do the same thing. Can anyone offer any more info on this? Thanks!
