Hi all, im new to the hilux and have just put my 04 hilux into the mechanic for a wheel alignment and he has come back and said the left hand side front has a 2 degree negative camber and there is no more adjustment in the bolts on the lower control arm. He suggested from looking at it that the lower control arm was bent, i replaced the lower control arm and there has been no change. He is now suggesting the the stub axle or chassis is bent. I am hesitant to replace any more components on a maybe so i thought i would see if anyone our there has had the problem before. I saw a 4 runne
G'day guys! My name's Whiskey and I'm the proud new owner of a 2004 Hilux and newly addicted 4-wheel driving fanatic. So, here's the thing, the PO of this truck spent some money on it. Some of the upgrades are clearly beneficial, i.e. the brand new TJM Bull bar with 9500 lb winch. I reckon he walked into TJM and maxed out his credit card. I've taken photos of the suspension and I'm hoping you Lux gurus out there can make heads or tails of what I've got and what I should do to make it any safer or more capable off road. Hi there, i have a 1999 Toyota Hilux SR5 3L Diesel with IFS, now it has the standard alloy bullbar ads was looking to get it a steel winch bar but i wanted to know if there where other models i can get bullbars from to suit it without modifications because i am not too sure if the surf bullbars will fit on? if anyone can help that has done this or knows the best way around it that will be much appreciated if i can get some input.
