  1. Hi Team, Just wanting to shed some light on the 1990-2000 model TCR10 tarago keyless entry and chip key, information doesn't seem to be readily available. Looking at purchasing a 99 tcr10 but only has 1 genuine key, which looks like it has an immobilizer chip in the key fob, Are they easy to replace? Only saw one guy selling a generic Toyota "97-02" key with unprogrammed chips on ebay for $40, are these the same for all Toyota keys of the same era? The other thing is the keyless entry remote, there is alarm and security light, but it never turns on according to the current own
  2. Hello everyone, First post, been a long time lurker here, and member over at TEOC.ws, but I figured it was time to create an account here too and see if anyone has been in our predicament. I'll start with a truncated version of my TEOC post from June 3, the day after this happened, to give it some context: ORIGINAL POST - June 3, 2017, 4PM PST:My wife and I have two young kids and took the ferry over to Vancouver Island for a family wedding. Friday night we went for dinner with both of them and another couple. In the hustle and bustle when we left the restaurant, on a busy Friday eve
  3. Hello I just bought Echo Sedan 2003. It didn't have Remote key, so i wanted to buy it but didn't know the frequency and Transponder chip number. Any one knows what it is ? Toyota Dealer is asking too much money. Btw I have a Master Key and Gray key.
  4. Hi guys, The plastic casing on my remote key fob has started to crack and am wondering if anyone else has experienced this and what the best way replacement method is? I'm guessing it's a dealer related issue where they need to re-code the key but wasn't sure of cost or if there is a part number available. I've attached a photo to show its current condition - cracking starts from 'lock' button. Any advice would would be great.
  5. Hi my daughter has lost her 2005 corolla (Australian model) master key. I had a look at her "spare" key and it doesn't have a dot or G on it, how do I determine what chip set to order, there appears to be 4C & 4D available on ebay.
  6. Hi, I recently got a 2001 Echo which only came with one key. I got a new key + transponder chip from http://www.carkeyhelp.co.uk/products/Toyota-Echo-transponder-key-TOY41RAT.html I've seen many online tutorials for programming new keys for various car models, so I thought it would be simple to get one for my Echo too. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case -- it looks like Toyota changes onboard programming procedures regularly, and the ones I found don't work on my car. Does anyone know how I can program my new key? Thanks!
  7. Hello all, My wife's Yaris only key is broken at the tip (likely a common problem here I presume). I basically purchased this casing from this ebay seller, http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=281117169919, had the key blank cut properly and transferred the transponder (with a new battery) over. The two buttons on the new key works perfectly. The key also fit in the car and door perfectly. However, it wouldn't start the car and I realise the security light was still flashing when the new key was inserted in. I thought this would be an easy job as the entire transponder w
  8. Hey guys, i did a search and found that buying a spare blank key off ebay/overseas and finding individuals to cut/program it privately would be the cheapest option for cutting a spare key. i would like to hear from anyone who has done this? and also if anyknow knows a reliable seller of blanks? and a locksmith who cuts them cheap?
  9. My car keys only one left, it will be in trouble if lost all. so I want to go to match the keys. as far as know, to cut a key is not cheap.it will be more than 100 dollars. So I want to do it by myself. have some friends used any relatively good tools? someone recommended the t300, anyone know about it? Thanks.
