  3. Hi guys, I wanna install some fog lights on my car, I bought the relay and oem switch and afterwards I realized that the plug behind the coin holder is not the front fog light plug but for the rear fog lights, I didn’t buy the stalk but I’m wondering if the switch can still be used, behind the front bumpers there are female harnesses for the front fog lights so I’m wondering if I could get help or maybe the front fog plug is somewhere in the car and I just can’t find it
  4. Okay does anyone at all know where the fog light relay location is in the Toyota Corolla Allex? I checked the engine bay fuse boxes, the passenger side fuse box and I can’t find none at all, I’m giving up at this point it’s a 2004 jdm Allex, 1zz-fe
  5. Hi Guys, Been posting here for a little while without actually introducing myself. Purchased the car in Feb 2019 with 16,000kms on it. Got 23,000 now. Love it so far.
  6. Hello guys, I just got the torque pro app and elm 327 to work with my Toyota Allex, is there any additional PIDS/extended PIDS I could get or have a link to?
  7. Hello, I recently bought a 2013 sportivo in overall good condition. However i noticed the front bumper lower kit has a decent gap and is slightly loose. I noticed the rear bumper has a grey/silver rubber strip that lines the lower kit and "seals" it to the body. Should the front have this as well? If so how would i find this and anyone know what that part is called?
  8. I want to get wing tips for my 05 Corolla sportivo i know there hard to find but was wondering if anyone knew anyone selling a set
  9. Hello all, my rear sunshade button popped in (under the aircon) on my aurion 2010 sportivo zr6 and I had to pull the centre console up in order to get to it and push it back into place. I noticed that upon lifting it up a black wire not connected to anything and just asking around to make sure something isn't unplugged. There are the two white clip plugs and it's on the same wire group going up to the 12v power outlet behind the gearstick and infront of the centre glovebox. I didn't take a picture when I had it out but I've attempted to take some just lifting it up a bit without re-taking it all off (refer to 3 images below, inside of the unconnected wiring, showing the cable group via side photo and top location of those wires). I figured it might be a spare port for additions just above the power outlet but wanted to double check. Cheers! (Please excuse the mess)
  10. Hi everyone Well it looks like it's finally time to replace the original clutch. I'd like to keep everything Toyota genuine OEM and would love to hear from anyone who might know some info I'm after: Part number of genuine OEM clutch Best place to purchase genuine OEM clutch Best place in Sydney to install Thanks in advance :)
  11. So I have started to face this issue of sluggish/slow acceleration with my 2ZZ-GE AE80, I changed the fuel pump, spark plugs, cleaned lift solenoid but same issue persisted. I went from 97RON to 92RON fuel for some reason and all of a sudden the car does not hesitate during acceleration, what can be the problem. Car used to have popping sound from exhaust before there was this issue. Note: Water temp goes to 101ish and 2zz knocks due to 92RON while it never knocks or temperature never goes above 100C on 97 RON.
  12. Hi guys (Lift issues on 2ZZ VVTLi) Need some help in Melbourne sourcing a mechanic who actually knows there way around a 2ZZ VVTLi engine (Corolla Sportivo)? I went to my Toyota Dealer (been going there for over a decade) and my engine was leaking oil. The following list is the work they carried out in order to fix the oil leaks. The oil leak was fixed (and it cost me an arm so far), but now my car will NOT hit lift. They have had two goes at it, but they do not know why it won’t hit lift blaming anyone but themselves. What could be the issue of why lift is not engaging and could you please recommend a reputable mechanic who has previously fixed these issues and has experience with the 2ZZ VVTLi engine in Melbourne. The work which was carried out: · Removed timing case and cylinder head assembly · Replaced all seals and gaskets · Replaced head gasket and retorqued cylinder head · Replaced VRS gasket set and rocker cover gasket · Replaced all fluids
  13. Welcome, and cheers for viewing my build thread! I bought this car in May '15 and didn't really plan on doing any mods to it, but as we all know, things often don't stay standard for very long. I've always liked these cars, so when I finally had the chance to buy one I opted for this '06 SX6 Sportivo model. It came with 18" TRD wheels, but apart from that it was all stock. It's not very often you see modified Aurions here in New Zealand so it leaves people wondering what the hell it is, while still blending in as a family sedan at the same time. The car now wears 19x9.5" Vertini Magic concave wheels, along with an array of other mods that contribute to the overall look of the build. This post will stay updated with the most recent mods & photos, but the rest from post #2 onward are in chronological order. 14. This is for the 2003/2004 pre-facelift Toyota Corolla Sportivo (6 speed manual). When the clutch is replaced, does the exhaust get moved and/or loosen in order to have the work done. I am aware that gearbox has to be removed and reassembled, refit the drive shaft and wheels, but what about elements of the exhaust? Reason why I am asking, is that I just had a new clutch installed on my stivo (by a highly regarded clutch and brakes shop in Melbourne), and for some reason when i drove off, which started as a small, and then ended up being a large squeaking noise coming from underneath the car. I suspect its the exhaust. Cheers
  15. G'day everyone! Never thought after many years I'd be back behind the wheel of a Toyota but what do you know it's all come full circle. After having a gold 2007 Aurion Sportivo ZR6 for a few years. Old Members Ride Here! I said farewell to the TOCAU community and since then I'd gone down the european path with a Mk5 Golf GTI, then down the Subaru owners path with a 2005 Liberty Sedan and now since all those cars became money pits. I'm back to good 'ol reliable town with a 2005 Camry Sportivo MCV36R! It's good to be back behind the wheel of a Toyota once more! :D Bought in March 2018. Toyota Camry Sportivo V6 MCV36R Approx 224,000km on the clock. 5spd Manual Transmission. Completely bone stock (this is something I would like to change a bit. Maybe just give the car a bit of a more meaty sound with the exhaust. Nothing too major.) except the radio which it came with a Kenwood Single DIN but I've since installed a full Android Double DIN based unit in it. (I can't live without my GPS. I'm horrible like that!) Definitely gonna get myself more active on here again back like the old days! I also realised I only have the one photo of it so far. So i'll fix that in the coming days. But for now. Have a backside shot. :P
  16. Hey guys, Was wondering if I could drop a question about the C-One Motorsport rear wing tips / garnishes that are discontinued, and whether they still pop up on ebay or such. I'm from the UK and am looking to do a Runx (zze123) rear end conversion, and finding a pair of wing tips to go with the spoiler would be great. Cheers, Sam (resonanceuk)
  17. hey guys. been wanting an aurion since they first came over here. i was working at a toyota dealer in brisbane and got to go for a test ride in a presara. so was walking through the toyota dealership looking at camrys as my ute had blown an engine. when a aurion sitting the corner of the lot caught my eye. had only just come in that day and the sales guy didnt know anything about it. sat in it and test drove it and fell in love. so now i am the proud owner of a 2016 aurion sportivo. got it in early january this year and am loving it. been a holden and nissan man all my life but this car has really blown me away. bit of a long story but thought i would share the special moment hahaha
  18. So i have a 04 sportivo corolla, pretty low kms 119,000 kms, it drives nice but i want some more power, have put injen cold air intake in and an exedy heavy duty clutch ( was having some issues with clutch before hand) does anyone have some ideas for a bit more response and power without having to turbo or supercharge it? Also a mechanic said i should avoid changing 1st and 2nd in 8000kms+ does this sound about right? I don't really thrash this car but when i want to put my foot down i definatly want more response in the lower rev range, and more overall power. Thanks guys
  19. hi guys ive been a long time lurker of this forum since i purchased a 2005 corolla sportivo. it's been approximately 2 months since my lift stopped working and i've spent nearly $2000 with still no luck and i'm getting really desperate. i have tried almost everyone suggestion here on this forum and other websites with no luck. would really appreciate if you took the time to read and help me out. when i purchased the car it was running perfectly. it was on 160k kms and clutch felt good, the car felt very responsive and lift kicked in really hard. fast forward a month later i noticed it was leaking oil. it was a small oil leak and i took it to a mechanic to fix it for me right away. he told me it was a timining case oil leak and he replaced the timing case gasket, rocker cover gasket, crankshaft ceil, manifold gasket and exhaust gasket. also put in a new radiator and water pump. now he also told me he couldnt find a rocker cover gasket as toyota had none available and it would be a minimum 2 week wait to order from overseas. i said that's fine.. but he called me the next day saying he found one and the car was ready. sounded fishy? but whatever, i took my car for a spin and it felt like ****. big flatspot in acceleration under 4k rpm and the lift didnt kick in. sometimes it would but it was really weak. no sort of 'kick', just a smooth transition. i read on a separate post to: - Check Lift bolts. Very common on the preface lift 03/04 models for them to wear down quicker, although the design has since been corrected. - Check oil level, make sure your engine has enough oil. - Check the VVTLi solenoid as the filter/screen inside of it can get clogged and cause lift to not engage, see below: so i replaced lift bolts. no luck. i did an engine flush and changed the oil. no luck. however i realised the oil level light stays on for about 5 seconds when i turn the car on then it turns off. not sure if that's normal or if i haven't noticed that before? cleaned out the ocv solenoid screen. it was abit sticky. still no luck. So everything sort of went to **** after i got the car back from fixing the oil leak. would really appreciate some suggestions because it's been 2 months and it's really bugging me and i'm getting really desperate. i've taken it to about 5 mechanics who have absolutely no clue what could be wrong.
  20. Seeing as I haven't introduced her yet, meet Niko Niko! Or Niko or NiNi for short. It's a weird name but here me out. Toyota is a Japanese brand (obviously) Niko/Niko Niko is the Japanese word for Smile/Smiley The Aurion always looks like it's got a smile on it's face I'm also Asian and what some might call a "Weeaboo" Anyway, this is my car and she is very fast considering she looks like what a grandparent would drive. I've owned this car for a short time (Less than a month) and it's honestly one of the best purchases I've made! I love it, my friends love it! Commodore drivers hate it and that's okay with me! I'm not sure where I want to go with this car (in terms of build) I was thinking something that I could bring to meetups and have it turn a few heads so if there's anyone within that department let me know!
  21. Hey everybody Im currently in need of a stock or sports Toyota Corolla Sportivo Exhaust. Not the whole system but mainly just for the muffler. If anybody based in Sydney has one in stock and is no longer in need of the exhaust. Please PM me. Admin delete if not allowed. Thanks guys!
  22. Hey guys, Im currently looking for any recommendations on where is the best place to get lowered springs or coilovers for a 2005 Toyota Corolla Levin. I see on Ebay and they go for 1000k+ in which is out of my budget range as which I am only 17. Ive been thinking on getting Kings Lowered Springs for a while but deep in my mind I still want some coilovers. If anybody has an idea or is selling what I need above. Please contact me. Your help would mean a lot! Cheers.

  25. Hey everyone, new to the corolla scene here, i've owned a 2005 Corolla Ascent Hatch ZZE122R for around a year now and was just wondering if it is possible to modify it and make it look nice and unique in a way? you know like the usual, body kit, exhaust, wheels, suspension setup and if worth it, some performance parts. I'm not sure whether the car is compatible with the usual 2005 levin/sportivo parts, so it would be much appreciated if someone can help me out! Mind me if this sounds all stupid lol. Much appreciated! cheers ;)
