  1. Hi, I need some help from the kluger gurus out there. I got kluger grande 2011 model which unfortunately got the non USB big screen very outdated audio unit. I am planning to put a double din on it. I have already bought a facia from wreckers and a second hand unit as shown on photos. I have taken some of the photos of the back of the kluger grande audio unit plugs at the back. Only plugs that connects are the usual power and speakers plug but the rest are different plugs. My question is which harness do I need to make the reverse camera and steering wheel control work? Any ideas would be very much appreciated. I am planning to upgrade it to have carplay, USB connect and just modernise the damn thing. Thanks for advance. Jason
  2. Hi, has anyone had issues installing these factory replacement, aftermarket head-units? https://oemaudio.co.nz/product/lumina-audio-toyota-camry-2006-2012-multi-media-unit-navigation-compatible-x/ I bought one, and despite using the factory bracket and mounting holes, it ended up with a gap between the top of the radio and the air vents: The company I'd bought it from maintains they've installed tons of these without an issue, so I'm thinking there was either something wrong with this particular one, or that they are drilling extra holes in the factory bracket when installing...not something you would think would be needed when installing something that is supposed to be made for this car. The rest of the stereo fit in well. I've seen heaps of similar ones on places like ebay and amazon, and some of the reviewers on those ones have had similar issues, but others have been fine so could just be a bad batch or poor quality control by whoever makes the actual hardware. I ended up getting my money back and got one of these instead: https://www.gtacarkits.com/product/toyota-camry-2007-2011-iphone-aux-kit/ Just wondering if anyone else has tried a similar thing and what they needed to do to get it to work?
  3. Hi all, Does anyone have experience installing an aftermarket head unit in a 2015+ Toyota Corolla Ascent Auto (ZRE182R)? I've recently had a sub and amp wired up to the factory head unit using the line out converter built into my amplifier but it sounds terrible. Attached is a photo of what the head unit looks like in my car. Do the factory units in these cars cut bass at higher volumes? Is the factory unit poor quality? I'm looking at installing a Kenwood DMX7017BTS (https://www.kenwood.eu/car/navigation_multimedia/multimedia/DMX7017BTS/) and also want to retain my factory steering controls, reverse camera and USB port. Hoping someone out there has managed to get an aftermarket head unit put in so I can get some advice/feedback on whether it's worth the $1,000+ investment. Thanks!
  4. Hi all. I'm keen on replacing the factory stereo unit in my 2016 Kluger GXL. Looking at a Pioneer 8850BT & maybe upgrading the speakers (Maybe a hideaway sub as well), will be installed by a qualified person too. Has anyone put in an aftermarket unit in a 2014-2016 Kluger? Did you have any issues, like with the steering wheel controls, or any other electrical operations? Thanks in advance for your replys. Jason.
  5. Hey guys, Just wondering what is the best kind of aftermarket Headunit that is compatible for a Toyota Corolla ZZE122R, Price can range from a low cheap of $30 all the way to $500 if its worth it. Also in need of a facia kit too! Cheers fellas.
  6. This is my first post and please be nice to me:) I am about to purchase a GPS navigation system TC910W from http:/www.autogps.com.au website. After checking many websites including eBay and some popular brands like pioneer (no way I would pay $2000) I think the best available option is this model. If something goes wrong I would be able to return this and get a refund or replacement. My questions are, Anyone tried this model before and how good or bad is it ? How hard to install ? they mention that is is easy and plug and play ? Maps are good (Sygic) ?
  7. Hey guys, I own a 2014 Corolla Ascent Sport Hatchback and was wondering if anyone knows where I could find some after market LED tail lights if it's possible. Thanks! :)
  8. Hi , keen on getting replacement headlights for my 01 Camry Touring (black housing type). It seems as though you can only buy aftermarket ones from the US where postage is pretty expensive. Does anybody know of any Australian suppliers/sellers of aftermarket headlights particularly Sydney / NSW area? Also, is there any difference between the headlights of a 1999 Camry compared to the 2001 Camry? (same size, fitting, connections?) Thanks
  9. I have an 09 hilux workmate 2.7L. No stock tacho, where can I find a feed for it? Is there a feed behind the cluster even though it wasn't factory installed?
  10. Hi there, Has anyone installed an aftermarket front floor console in their Hiace? I have the older centre fold down middle seat without cup holders. I have an idea for an upgrade to install cup holders using PVC pipe. Has anyone done anything like this or has any other suggestions? Thanks for your interest. Shirley Campergirl
  11. Hey Lads, Just wondering if anyone can give me some help? I'm in the market for better quality speakers to put in my Camry.Has anyone got any ideas on how to go about this as it's my first time doing it.I do want high quality speakers not cheepo's and will this affect my car warranty? Cheers Justin
  12. Hi everyone, I have just purchased a 2013 Aurion. I am finding it really hard to find any aftermarket parts to suit.. (because its new, I know) Trying to find exhausts, lights, grills, body/aero kits, springs/coilovers, Hoping if I put this together there will be a few enthusiasts out there... Please share... So far I have found smoked tail lights http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/321066119262?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649 Lights kit (dome, map, door, number plate lights) http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/171043997528?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649 Bumper lip kit http://www.bodykitskingdom.co.uk/magento/toyota/aurion/style-a-lip-kit-aurion-12-up.html

  14. Hey guys, I recently installed a JVC KW-AV60BT in my 2011 Camry Hybrid. The installation was easy however, gathering all the correct information was difficult. So in the interest of future upgraders, I figured i'd dump all the information I found useful here. Factory Head Unit: Fujitsu Ten 86120-YY130-D Model: FT0015A JVC KW-AV60BT: There's a good write up of the unit here: http://www.crutchfie...-KW-AV60BT.html Steering Wheel Control Integration: To maintain the factory steering wheel control, I chose Axxess Interface's ASWC: http://www.axxessint...ontrol_new.aspx instructions on installing the unit is also on that page. Pay particular attention the the wire colours. IE. (Orange/Blue vs. Blue/Orange. The first means orange wire with blue stripe, the second means blue wire with orange stripe.) Factory Reverse Camera: This is where it got a little tricky. The factory reverse camera takes in 6V instead of the standard 12V. The 6V is fed to the camera from the factory HU. As a result of this, you will need to make a converter that will convert 12V to 6V and tap into the Live wire (RED) to the head unit. Instructions on making your own voltage converter can be found here. Parts costs bout AUD 6 bucks all up. http://www.toyotanat...rong> </strong> Removal of Fascia: To get to the double Din bracket, you have to remove a few fascia plates. DJKOR has a really good write up for the Aurion here (works fine for the camry too): http://au.toyotaowne...ory-audio-unit/ Double Din Bracket: Because the JVC came with a removable face plate, it stuck out from the front of the fascia by about 15mm. To fix this, I had to drill new holes on the factory double din bracket. Fascia: Although the factory head unit is Double Din mounted, the front of the unit is actually wider then a standard double din head unit. As a result, the standard factory fascia will not fit the aftermarket radio. (It will fit, you will be left with 2 gaping holes either side of the radio tho). Solution: I bought a aftermarket fascia from factory_fit on ebay. It looks and feel like the factory fascia, except the hole is cut to the correct double din standard. You will need to remove the factory fascia clips and install them on the aftermarket fascia. (They can be a bit tricky to remove, be patient) The radio fascia is clipped to the airconditioner unit. To remove the radio fascia, hold onto the airconditioner unit and slide the radio fascia to the left and pull up (Looking at the front of the unit). It should just clip out. Wiring: This is where it gets interesting. Wiring diagrams to the factory head unit are here: http://au.toyotaowne...it/page__st__15 There are 4 connectors connected to the factory radio. POWER/AUDIO (2 connectors side by side), sensor signal (1 connector) and AM/FM antenna (1 rounded connector) In the link above, DJKOR has provided a very detailed diagram of the POWER/AUDIO connectors. Peter Yeh has described the wires on the sensor signal connector. The AM/FM antenna plugs straight into the JVC without issue. I strongly recommend using Aeropro harness to connect your factory connectors to the JVC. I bought 2 Aeropro harness which did the job. 1 x Toyota to ISO 1 x ISO to JVC Make sure you check the Aeropro harness to ensure the wires are connected to the right place. My ISO to JVC had the front and rear speakers the wrong way round. Unfortunately, Aeropro, at the time of posting, doesn't make a harness for the sensor signal connector. This means wire connectors! You will need an RCA cable to tap into the reverse signal. 2 wires. With the voltage converter you made, connect the 6V out to the camera Positive cable. Connect the reverse signal cable from the factory harness to the JVC Connect the parking brake wire on the JVC to any ground (This is illegal in Australia as doing so will prevent the safety features of JVC from stopping video playback while the vehicle is in motion.) Connect the other wires to the steering wheel control interface. See instructions on their website for details. End result: I thought the toyota factory HU was decent, and lets face it, it does sound pretty decent but lacks in the functionality department. And that ipod integration was half baked... But the JVC blew that out the water! It just sounds amazing! Bluetooth works perfect, people can actually hear me now! Ipod integration works as it should, and it sounds amazing!!!
  15. So after a good long 10 years of the car being in the family the car has been passed on from my brother to me and i have been driving it for the past 3 years. I've recently worked myself up to get a bodykit ( painting and fitment is pending due to me being in uni) a set of dished rims, and lock lug nuts. 16X8, 4x100 +15, 3inch lip. Getting 195/45/16 Anyone got comments on fitment? Will I rub against the inside walls and if i get coils will i need to roll the fenders/ negative camber.
  16. Hey guys and girls, Im looking to upgrade my stereo in my 2008 Aurion ZR6...for the speakers im going with JL Audio C2 6.5'" coaxials for the front and JL Audio C2 6X9" 3 way speakers for the back (hope these both mount good as ive seen someone else on the forum has installed them and the sound quality is great). As for the head unit I would really appreciate some help for an aftermarket head unit as I would like to keep the "stock look." Ive read the forum through and through and cannot find any concrete evidence as to what exactly is the best aftermarket head unit....is it the Easydeals unit?? is it the DigOptions unit?? is it the Auspack unit?? is it the AutoTunez unit?? Im going crazy...someone please help me and let me know which is the best unit out there at the moment that maintains the "stock look" and performs great too. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Jono ^_^
  17. Hey all, Just wanted to know who has actually done a dyno test on their TRD Aurion. I am interested to see as i recently did it and got ok results. My TRD has the following: -custom headers -custom exhaust -cold air intake -proper tune with an aftermarket chip At my dyno test, i got 209.5 kw at the wheels. I am just wondering if anyone else has done it and how close they actually got to the 241kw at the flywheel. Thanks guys :-)
  18. hey guys, just wondering if anyone knows how dark the pre-tinted windows are on a 2008 toyota corolla ascent zre152r? or how to check? i know for a fact they came tinted when bought new, but i dont know how dark it is. im thinking of going darkest legal but i dont want to pay $300+ if its going to be the same, or only a bit darker than what the tint already is.
