  1. Hello Everyone I'm new to the Toyota Owners Club and I look forward to learning new things and helping others where I can. I do have a question about the steering wheel controls when using the Bluetooth functionality. I love listening to podcasts on long drives and from time to time I need to pause the playback. Is there a way of doing that with one of the steering wheel controls or do I need to use the touch screen or the actual phone? If the steering wheel controls don't have this functionality is there a voice command that can be used? I don't want to touch my phone as I like to drive safely and minimise any and all distractions. Any comments, help or suggestions would be very much appreciated.
  2. Hi! I have a 2013 Corolla ascent sport, with a 100182 multimedia system. I purchased the car second hand from a dealer in the ACT and had it delivered to me in northern NSW. long story short it's a brilliant car I'm very happy with it, the only issue is when I go to connect a phone it automatically says connection failed, doesn't give me the chance to even look for the device. I tried initialising it again and also disconnecting the battery but neither of these did anything. Im busy at the moment and work long hours so don't have the time to go to the Toyota dealer in my town to have them look, I was wondering if anyone had the same issue or knows how to fix it
  3. Hello All, I am wondering if there is a way to play music from my iPhone through Bluetooth via the Presara stereo ? I can make & receieve calls via bluetooth.
  4. Hi guys I'm having trouble connecting my Samsung Galaxy S6 to via bluetooth to my standard Toyota head-unit. On the head-unit it says "This device is not supported" and on the phone it says "invalid PIN or passkey" but doesn't give you an option to put a passkey or PIN in. Anyone come across this? I have tried an iPhone and that connects with no issues. All other features are working. The head-unit is out of a GT86 although I have put it into my 2006 Corolla. This is the head-unit below
  5. Hi everyone I am new to this forum/club. I recently purchased 2009 Toyota Tarago Ultima. I wanted to hardwire 2 dashcams - front and rear. I also wanted to install a reversing camera. When I visited car audio guy, he suggested to replace the original head unit with a new system having these features. I am bit anxious with replacing the original equipment as I am worried; fiddling with it can create new problems. I am keen to install one with Android Auto. I am trying to search one with Android Auto but couldn't find one. I would love to have navigation in that but what I learnt that those systems will be $ >1000. Any one has replaced the head unit with a new one with these features: Android auto BT and possibly navigation Which model would you suggest? Price? Cheers
  6. Hi all, new owner and new to this site so forgive me if this is either a known issue or already raised in another thread Was just wondering if anyone else is having Bluetooth issues with their mobiles connecting to the Toyota in-car multimedia system? My 2015 86 GTS blackline and my phone (Samsung S3) connect just fine but then randomly disconnects, then connects again, then disconnects then connects then disconnects etc..etc.... Alert of the connection/disconnection displays on the multimedia screen in-car and I can see the Bluetooth icon 'connecting' & 'disconnecting' up the top of my phone screen as well. Hasn't done it to me mid-call as yet so not a huge problem but irritating nonetheless. Same behaviour with my iPhone 4. At first I thought it might be the android OS but it's doing it with an iPhone as well. Worked fine with no issues for about 2 months and only now only recently having these issues. Up to now really pleased with the functionality because voice control was good, text message playback (both on screen and via audio) was good and overall calling/receiving calls worked well. Neither of these 2 mobile handsets have recently had a software upgrade or new apps installed. Issue presented itself in the last week. Anyone else having same or similar issues? Any help, advice, suggestions appreciated. Cheers
  7. Hi guys, I have a toyota aurion atx 09 model after 3 years of owning the vehicle, cds and listening to the radio just doesn't cut it for me anymore. I've been reading all over the net about adapter kits. there's a few on eBay etc just unsure need more info. I'm looking to install an auxiliary / ipod connection + charging/ and bluetooth for music play back* and hands-free calls. to plug into the the back of the head unit..Pn 86120-06351. I'm not very tech savy but I've already seen another members post on here Shane_85s aux mod. he makes an aux adapter from Jay car parts. I don't want to upgrade the head unit either. basically I wanted some info from others who have done the same thing. here's some links of what I'm looking at just unsure. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B009L4ITMC/ref=ox_sc_act_image_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A236UT9Z5WDWZA http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/291619233288 http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/121646590164 http://m.ebay.com.au/itm/Toyota-AUX-iPhone-iPod-Factory-Radio-Adaptor-for-Camry-Aurion-Corolla-Rav-4-/151468382802?hash=item2344381a52%3Ag%3AZ2oAAOSw~gRVs4K9 cheers

  10. I have a 2015 Prado Altitude which has the JBL radio used in various Toyota models. The radio has a terrible echo & feedback for anyone who calls me in the car. I dont hear the echo in the car, it is only people who call me from either mobile or landline phones. The supplier (Fujitsu Ten) and Toyota Australia have evaluated the car and confirmed the problem but dont have any solutions. Has anyone else experienced this type of problem with their JBL radios?
  11. Hi All, Am still looking at options for replacing the Grande factory GPS with a more current model. The Maps are way out of date and the technology is too old. Mostly I need A2DP Bluetooth music. This one seems to be the best http://goo.gl/5gN5qI without having to change the hazard switch. Just edging on whether to take the plunge... Btw. its also Android OS so that's a plus ( similar on ebay are the $600+ mark) Thoughts...? Cheers M
  12. 2 years of utter frustration with my Bluetooth and my Toyota Dealer say its not their problem. As a travelling sales person I have covered 99,000 km in 23 months in utter frustration with the Bluetooth. I can hear them and everyone says its sound like I am under water.I have a Iphone 6. Final inspection is up, probably will get the same response from Toyota when I complain about it. OK car for the job if you don't need a phone, seriously thinking of changing cars. A $16,000 Hyundi rental have near perfect bluetooths. Is there anyone having this same issue? Secondly, my toyota canopy has had a broken lock for 13 weeks and they still can't get a part. What happens to issues that keep recurring are they still under warranty?
  13. Hi all, Bought myself a second hand 2011 Kluger and am enjoying things so far. One of the problems I have at this stage is with the Bluetooth. I am able to pair my Samsung with it and it keeps pairing whenever I get in the car. However, when I make a call or recieve a call I am unable to hear anything from the car's audio. It kindof defeats the purpose of having a bluetooth in the first place if I still need to put the phone to my ear to talk and hear the person on the other end. I can stream music from it fine, and when the phone is in use the stereo cuts out, but I cannot figure out how to get the sound and mic working thru the head unit. Any help would be very much appreciated.... Cheers....
  14. Hi Everyone, I have a Corolla Ascent and the head unit I purchased requires me to mount an external mic. Is this location an okay place to mount the microphone (see image)? Just out of interest, what are the gaps actually for? Thanks :)
  15. Hi All, I have recently purchased a 2010 Toyota Aurion AT-X. I have managed to get the iPhone and Samsung to connect to the Aurion via Bluetooth. The Samsung will play the audio through the Bluetooth while watching a movie on it however the iPhone does not. Specifically I am trying to have the Foxtel Go run through the Bluetooth system but the audio will not play through the Bluetooth. Does anyone have any ideas? Regards Tony
  16. Hi Guys, Having just completed my first service on my Christmas Present to me, 2013 Altitude AWD, both I and the dealer now cannot configure my iphone 5 contact lists to the phone system. The issue I have is that the vehicle contact list will only sync to the phone first name then surname. If we try to sort the vehicle system contact list by last name then first name then the contact lists stop at the letter 'S' and I do not have all of the contacts. Has anyone else had this issue? It seems to me that it may be a phone issue but we tried other iphones and it didn't work either. Any thoughts. Many thanks
  17. Hi everyone, I bought my 2013 Grande last week and have the problem that my Samsung Galaxy Young smartphone is not compatible with the bluetooth system. I was wondering if there was a list of compatible phones somewhere or maybe if you can tell me what brand of smartphone do you use? Thanks Kim
  18. Hi, When I make calls using the factory fitted Bluetooth in my MY09 Corolla ZRE152, I always get complaints that people find it really hard to hear me. Does anyone else experience this problem? Any solutions (besides shouting!)?
  19. Hi folks, I am looking for an after market head unit (GPS, DVD, bluetooth, USB, iphone, [DVB-T, reversing camera] etc.) and I am a bit confused. I have read this forum and elswhere and understand there are sone cheap Chinese units that fall short of the more expensive brand name units. I was hoping to find something in between for my 2009 Aurion, maybe around $600-$700. It looks like there are a couple of new-ish units available on the market and I was wondering if anyone has any expereince or knowledge about them. The first is a unit that trades under a few different 'Tunez' names on ebay and their own web site. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/8-Toyota-Aurion-Camry-Car-DVD-GPS-Player-Navi-DVB-T-TV-Head-Unit-Stereo-Tunez-/281124931893 http://www.tunezmart.com/shop/products/111-Toyota/3-8-Toyota-CamryAurion-car-DVD-player-with-GPS-and-DVBT/ The second unit is an android device which I think has been mentioned here by others. Both have 8" screens and similar features. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/8-Android-Toyota-Camry-Aurion-WIFI-GPS-IPOD-Car-DVD-Reversing-Camera-/261209301960 A local car audio dealer is pushing me to buy this Opal unit for around $1500: http://aus-audio.com.au/products/opal/optungps Like I mentioned, I don;t know which way to turn for quality, function and value so I would love to hear from anyone who has any advice, particularly about the 'Tunez' units. Thanks a lot, Steve
  20. I'm about to purchase a 2011 Toyota Camry ASV50R Atara SX and am wondering if anyone has any experience with the stereo in these with spotify over bluetooth? Questions I have are as follows: -Do the steering wheel controls work to change songs? -Does album art, song data etc come across to the dash display? -Whats the quality like? -Any issues people are having? I have a Samsung Galaxy S III, which I have tested with the stock music app, calling, contacts and all works fine. Was unable to test Spotify at the time. Thanks all!
  21. I have just purchased a new hybrid. I have heard there may be issues with certain mobile phones pairing with Camry bluetooth. I am up for a phone upgrade. Can you tell me what phone you have that succesfully works for you? I am looking at getting a Galaxy Slll. Thanks in advance.
  22. I just replaced my iPhone 3GS with Sony Xperia TX last week. When I tried to pair my new mobile with my Yaris 2011 by bluetooth, my car is not even on the available device list! Previously my iPhone 3GS worked well without a problem! Did anyone have the same problem? I'm not sure whether Xperia TX' bluetooth system is compatible with Yaris? I looked up the features of my new phone, it says Bluetooth 3.1, Advanced Audio Distribution (A2DP), Audio/Visual Remote Control Profile (AVRCP), Handsfree (HFP), Headset (HSP), Health Device Profile (HDP), Human Interface Device (HID), Object Push (OPP), Personal Area Networking Profile (PAN), Phone Book Access (PBAP). Please! Anyone HELP!!!! Many thanks!
  23. I recently became the proud owner of a new 2012 Kluger Grande, and while I love the car I'm disappointed that features like Bluetooth streaming are not available in this model, considering this is the top of the range model I expected this would be available. I had a look over the forums and it seems this is something that has been mentioned earlier, There was also mention that this functionality would be made available by a software update to the navigation system, however I've not seen any follow up around if this software update if/when this software update would be made available? Can anyone comment if this is something that is coming or when it may be made available?
  24. I am looking at getting this Head unit to put into Corolla 2002. Has anyone put one of these into there car. If they are ok or can someone tell me what is a good chinese all in one head unit. http://au.xtrons.com...yer-TD602G.html
