Hello, Not being a mechanic I was after some thoughts on my gearbox issue. So the gearbox in my 5sp man 97 Caldina GT-T has started not going into gear properly under spirited driving or highish rpm up/down shifts, particularly 2nd-3rd shifts. Under normal driving it is perfectly fine and not noticeable but when driven with some gusto and shifting gears it does not engage gears and the shifter feels like its disconnected from the box itself and all that can be felt is the spring tension on the shifter. Also in 1st at around 6K rpm a small bumping sensation can be felt coming from the trans. I have been told it could be a nylon bushing or something at the end of the selectors slipping? But not being a mechanic cannot take this for gospel.... Anyone out there have any better guesses/ideas. Could it just be shagged? Easy fix? Chance of finding a new gearbox or cost of rebuild if required? I know its going to be a bitch to remove... Thanks in advance for any input received. Mike

I have a 1990 Celica Alltrac (GT4) in the states (New York to be specific), I picked up an ST215 caldina swap, for certain reasons, I wanted some of the newer ST246 Caldina parts for my application (trying to reuse st205 WTA intercooler w/ centerfeed manifold). So Primarily interested in the Intake Manifold This is likely going to require a Valve Cover to match, not that I want to load up on weight for shipping across the globe but if its easier I would consider a Complete Head w/ coils and injectors, possibly with the turbo but not necessarily. And also the wire harness and that nifty alloy alternator bracket would be swell too. I have paypal / ebay accts, and I also registered on trademe if thats helpfull down under. any help would be appreciated, May also be looking for some st205 parts in the future. Cheers, Michael badg04t@gmail.com

I recently imported over a Caldina GT Four after a few solid months of research to find a compromise between something sporty and something practical so I could get the green light from the minister of finances and home affairs. I've only made a handful of modifications so far and wont be doing anything extreme in future TRD TF2 18" Rims (made by RAYS) with Goodyear Eagle F1 Directional 5 Tyres. G'day fellow Toyota owners. My names James and I'm the proud owner of a 2005 Caldina GT Four. My wife and I have owned a Corolla, Aurion and Yaris previously but I was finally able to talk her into importing something a little more interesting.

Hello, Was after a clutch kit for my Caldina ST215 (3SGTE) and was wondering would a clutch kit for any "S" motor fit my car eg. celica turbo or other models that run an "S" motor. Or can anyone recommend a clutch kit to me that will fit, and how much will it cost to install roughly? Would love to do the work myself but I can imagine its a **** of a job and Im not a mechanic, would give it a go if I could though with help. Im guessing the flywheel would need machining also? Thanks Mike

Caldina ST215 Started rough today and the check engine light came on.. It was shut down and restarted with the light coming back on moments later going out and everything back to normal... After a short drive down the road it started doing it again and the car was fighting to gain speed, hesitating rough engine sound and check engine light ect. About 5k's down the road i entered the freeway where it came good again, drove the 15k's down freeway and exited about 10k's after leaving f/way it started it again. and continued doing this for a further 15k's until i got home... Anyone want to have a guess what might be going on? I am concidering getting a obd2 code reader to see what codes have been logged.. but any ideas would be fantastic.. Cheers
