G'day everyone! Never thought after many years I'd be back behind the wheel of a Toyota but what do you know it's all come full circle. After having a gold 2007 Aurion Sportivo ZR6 for a few years. Old Members Ride Here! I said farewell to the TOCAU community and since then I'd gone down the european path with a Mk5 Golf GTI, then down the Subaru owners path with a 2005 Liberty Sedan and now since all those cars became money pits. I'm back to good 'ol reliable town with a 2005 Camry Sportivo MCV36R! It's good to be back behind the wheel of a Toyota once more! :D Bought in March 2018. Toyota Camry Sportivo V6 MCV36R Approx 224,000km on the clock. 5spd Manual Transmission. Completely bone stock (this is something I would like to change a bit. Maybe just give the car a bit of a more meaty sound with the exhaust. Nothing too major.) except the radio which it came with a Kenwood Single DIN but I've since installed a full Android Double DIN based unit in it. (I can't live without my GPS. I'm horrible like that!) Definitely gonna get myself more active on here again back like the old days! I also realised I only have the one photo of it so far. So i'll fix that in the coming days. But for now. Have a backside shot. :P
This is my daily driver, a plain old Camry. I'm Not really interested in modifying it, maybe just a few little things to tidy it up. I put a K&N air filter element in it, new tint, philips Diamond vision globes, Sony stereo and some new plates. I'm considering getting the whiteline swaybar and maybe some low king springs if funds permit as the handling leaves a lot to be desired.
Hi all, I've been researching what springs can be used on my AUDM '05 ACV36R Gen 5.5, and have noted that Eibach/TRD springs and Tein S.Techs were popular. I noticed that the S.Techs offered on eBay and alike were for 36s upto 2004, and TRD/Eibachs were primarily for 04-on models. Reading up in TN & TOC I learned the Gen 5.5 had a tapered spring and the Gen 5s didn't. When researching the King Springs catalogue, however, the same spring is used from the Gen 4 to the Gen 6 models. Can anyone shine any light on what springs (the above examples, or others) are compatible for the AUDM Gen 5.5, aside from King Springs, and whether they share the tapered spring design of the USDM Gen 5.5 or have the standard design of the USDM Gen 5s? Thanks in advance :)
HI all, I have owned my 2004 Camry Grand for about a year now, the car is clean and runs very well until last week, it seems when I turn the key camry is struggling to start. at first I thought the battery is about to go... so I have check the Battery voltage while running the car and found out that NOT CHARGING. so diagnosed as alternator is not working properly. so I called Toyota parts and other auto electrician the part cost $235 (ebay) $280 (OEM)~$526 (bosh) + GST. so I just want to get if anyone have PDF or file on how to change over? I have watched some other youtube vids that is quite a simple job. I will post some DIY photos when I do this :) any help would be appreciated. thank you Gluey
