To all you Hybrid Rav 4 Owners My Wife and I are in the process of looking for a new car for our growing family and obviously we are considering the well reviewed new Rav 4 hybrids. We recently test drove a GXL at our local dealership and we both loved it however due to my wife having a unique sort of dyslexia, she is unable to read the odometer/speedometer due to the blue needles and blue colors on these screens. The salesman at the dealer, as they do, tried to up sell us to the Rav 4 Cruiser AWD model in the hybrid which he assured us had a different screen that would allow you to change the colors so that my wife could drive it, however since these are such popular cars the dealership and others nearby don't have any stock we can't verify this claim. My wife and I are open to the idea of moving up to the Cruiser due to the extras but we don't won't order one only to have it turn up and find that my wife is unable to drive it safely. So I would like to ask the community, if someone could please verify whether the odometer screens in the Rav 4 Cruiser AWD Hybrids can be customized to be a different color other than blue. If possible post a photo My wife and I both thank you for taking the time to read this a post your feed back Thank you
Hi all, So I have read quite a few forums here and there and tried to ascertain what choices others have made in relation to upgrading the terrible stock stereo Toyota supply in their base models (extremely old considering how basic it is, but what's cheap is cheap). I bought my Camry at 24,000km as an ex-executive a year ago and am quite fond of it for its price range, but moving down from a Premium-model XT Forester has got me in a pickle as to the head unit, as I desire something a little more advanced. Most of the forums I have found have listed a few cheaper units here and there (i.e. chinese imports) that people have been happy with but haven't really put in much feedback later on with how they lasted, etc. However I'm probably looking at something more trustworthy. Can anyone suggest any suitable units they have used in their cars or have any information about what will fit into the current fascia if possible (as I haven't found really any info)? TIA!
Hello Rukus Friends, I have a 2011 Build one and have purchase a Gen Toyota 6.1 Touch Screen (from a new Corolla). The connectors at the back are different (which I already knew), however you apparently can purchase a wiring harness or conversion. My local Toyota Dealer in Brisbane doesn't think this exists. Ive spoken to all the parts and service persons. Do anyone know of a part # of elsewhere I can look. Its just the Antenna and Sound connection. The unit powers on and looks very pretty. Thanks in Advance. :D
