Wondering if someone may have the same problem, I have a 2008 VDJ79 Landcruiser ute and it is a bit down on power. Boost lines are all good, especially on the back of the intercooler. If I drive the car calmly it behaves normally maybe with a little bit of rev and boost hesitation between gear changes or take off. But If i boot my foot down quickly regardless of being in gear driving or in neutral parked up the car hesitates for a second and then starts to rev up but won't go over 2800rpm or 6-7 psi boost. Driving normally or soft acceleration will allow it to go full rpm and 12-14 psi of boost. If anyone has any ideas please let me know as the mechanics cannot fault the car

Hey all, I have a question for all of you, just wondering if a 2011 Extra Cab (1.5 Cab) Tray would fit a 2001 Extra cab, are the bolt patterns for the tray the same?

Just wondering if anyone has figured out how to override the GPS in the new 200 series. While the car is driving you cant enter in a new destination into the GPS without pulling over and coming to a stop. While i understand the driver should be watching the road this also means the passenger cant use the gps unit either. This seems really stupid. Has anyone managed to over ride? i know its possible in the new hilux but havent found much on the 200!!

hey all i hav had my 07 xcab turbo diesel hilux for over 2 years now, has been a really good car apart from the one problem i have had when the engine is cold, it blows alot of black smoke and rattles for the first 5mins until it is warm. Sometimes when your accelerating over about 2500rpm it will cut out on engine fault. I have taken it to 3 different places now which none of them have been able to work it out, at first i thought it would of been just a faulty injector or something simple, but injector specialists reckon when they test them they all seem to be fine and to replace 4 electronic injectors would cost around $3000 and they wouldnt be certain if the problem would be fixed, others have tryed various things thinking they hav fixed it then a few days later the same thing would happen. Everything else with the car is good, so i am even willing to pay the money for an older or recond similar engine if possible, If possible what engines would fit into the engine bay,wiring harness... and would the rest of the car be able to take an engine thats not designed for that drivetrain,gearbox etc..........?? Any feedback or ideas would be much appreciated Thanks Matt

Hello TOC Team, I've been looking for these Prado's for a while now and I just can't seem to find them. I presume they're rare. It's the Landcruiser Prado LJ Series.... I think that's what they're called ? I love the look of this series. I'm looking for the Turbo Diesel Manual Transmission 2.4L Diesel or 3.0L Diesel (preferred) If any knows the whereabouts of one for sale could you please send me a message. I'm in Brisbane but wouldn't mind bringing one from overstate. Thanks, Camrolla
