  1. After buying the Estima I realised it came with a space saver as I spare. Decided that since it has been sitting there for 10+ years I should pull it down and change the valve in it. When I pulled it down I noticed that there is a fair bit on room up there and a standard size wheel should fit. Had a look around and found a new Mazda wheel (possibly off a Mazda 6? 16 x 6.5" - pic 6) sitting around aswell as a 215/60 R16 Tyre. Fitted that up and got it balanced so I could try out and see if it fits. Doing it is pretty straight foward:- 1) Pop the Boot (pic 1) 2) Lift the carpet up, lift up the black plug, and use the wheel nut tool (or just a 21mm socket) and undo it (counterclockwise) (pic 2 & 3) 3) Undo it till you have enough to lift the hook over the holder. 4) Pull the space saver off. 5) I was going to remove the black spacer that is attached underneath but then decided it won't be in the way anyway if I put the full size spare in with it facing down. This is also good as don't have to unwind the spare to check the pressure all the time. (pic 5) 6) While you have the spare out, it is easier to hold the bolt and unwind the hook via hand to get it down further. I also fully removed the hook and put anti-seize on the thread. 7) Put spare under, lift up and put hook over the holder. 8) Wind back up. (pic 7) Mine also had a spacer above the hook. That was actually a good size as the spacer wound all the way up to the floor and was holding the spare tight. All up this cost me $0 as I work at a tyre store and we just had the rim and tyre lying around. Most tyre shops usually have old rims lying around or even wreckers. Toyota stud pattern is 5 x 114.3 which many other makes (ford, mazda, mitsubishi etc.) use aswell. Holden is 5 x 120 and won't fit. Sorry, pics aren't the best quality as sun it bad position and only taken with phone.
  2. Hello Folks, I'd like to buy the 17inch spare wheel from 2012+ Aurion Prodigy or Presara or 2015+ Toyota Camry. I can pick up if your around Sydney and will pay $150. The wheel and tire must be unused Cheers Shareef 0474700733
  3. WTB: ZZE 123 Toyota Corolla Sportivo 16" Alloy Wheel with Tyre, or just Tyre. 2003 - 2005 Model. If you have the spare unused unit (maybe your spare?) with the Bridgestone ER30 195/55R16 I will be interested in buying it. Alternatively I an looking for used Bridgestone ER30 195/55R16 or Bridgestone ER300 195/55R16 with at least 90% tread. Please PM me.
  4. Just went to check the spare tyre on my 2001 Estima MCR30, and I can find no way to get it out. I just can't figure out how to remove the bracket that keeps the tyre in place. The only thing my mechanically minded neighbour can think of, is that a new rear bumper might have been installed, possibly covering a crank hole? Can anyone possibly explain how the spare tyre might be removed? Secondly, the rear seats don't seem easily removable, but I have been surprised by this vehicle before...hidden buttons and levers and all sorts of devices. Does anyone have seats that ARE removable and could let me know how it is done on theirs, or if removing non-removable seats is not a giant job, perhaps give me some pointers (I plan to go camping for a week or so, and the spare room in the back would be useful.) Many Thanks, Mike
  5. Hey people, I'll have new set in about 8-12 weeks hehe (sea freight). Looking into potentially buying tyres from tirerack.com also. Main query is what size tyres should i getting? 2013 Camry Atara Stock is 17x7 +45 on 215/55s Currently running 18x8 +40 but switching to 17x9 +35 I'll also be lowering the car slightly. I've been looking at tyres ranging between 235-245 / 35-45. After doing some online homework, my current thoughts are that i shouldn't have any issues with scrubbing etc but i'm always ready to take advice. Any advice would be much appreciated. Cheers.
  6. Hi, I have Aurion AT-X, 2006 and currently using 215/60/16 tyres with alloys and thinking to inch-up to 17". The alloy wheels I bought are from Lexus IS 250 with two 225/45/17 and another one is 245/45/17 and the other one is wheel only ( I reckon IS250 is rear wheel drive, so 225 for front and 245 for rear). As the three tyres have road worthy treads, I think I will use the current tyres then buy the recommended size which is 215/55/17. If I buy only one 245/45/17 tyre, can I use these tyres for my Aurion? or if I need to use all same sized tyres, better buying two 225 tyres? Many thanks
