  1. I have a 2005 Toyota Corolla Ascent Hatchback (ZZE122), base model, it comes with the standard manual windows. I wanted to ask if its possible to swap in the electric window components from a higher trim model. Are the wires and looms already there? Has anybody ever done this before and are there any issues/barriers I should be aware of? Thanks a lot in advance.

  3. Hey guys, Im currently looking for any recommendations on where is the best place to get lowered springs or coilovers for a 2005 Toyota Corolla Levin. I see on Ebay and they go for 1000k+ in which is out of my budget range as which I am only 17. Ive been thinking on getting Kings Lowered Springs for a while but deep in my mind I still want some coilovers. If anybody has an idea or is selling what I need above. Please contact me. Your help would mean a lot! Cheers.

Hi, I have corolla 2005 ZZE122R and I noticed that while idling (stop at lights, in traffic eg.) the engine stutters from time to time with uneven periods like every second - every 5 seconds then every two seconds. It seems like the engine is misfiring for short while - 1/2 second - and then runs well. I notice this for now only at idle. Would there be an indication what I might expect? Thanks

Hey everyone, new to the corolla scene here, i've owned a 2005 Corolla Ascent Hatch ZZE122R for around a year now and was just wondering if it is possible to modify it and make it look nice and unique in a way? you know like the usual, body kit, exhaust, wheels, suspension setup and if worth it, some performance parts. I'm not sure whether the car is compatible with the usual 2005 levin/sportivo parts, so it would be much appreciated if someone can help me out! Mind me if this sounds all stupid lol.   6. Can anyone tell me approximately how many kilometers original clutch should last in one of these Corollas please? I have one with 150,000km, which is getting intermittent problem with clutch pedal staying down near floor making it impossible to change gears. If you manually pull the pedal back up level with brake it goes back to normal and stays that way until it does it again. I would like to know if the pedal is supposed to do that to indicate clutch replacement is due? If not any ideas what causes the clutch pedal to do that please?
  7. Hi everyone I am looking to purchase a front bar for my 2005 Corolla Sedan, it’s mica blue but don’t necessarily need that colour. Not looking for OEM either. If anyone has one lying around in good condition, I would be happy to take it off your hands.
  8. I am considering selling my '02 Corolla Ascent ZZE122R sedan because it's getting up the km's (just passed 220,000km) and I've been browsing some new vehicles. This was actually my first car and has served me well for the last 5 years. However, I have no experience selling and have a few questions to ask. I'm not looking to sell immediately, it may be within a few months. So I have time to fix anything that may need fixiing in order to get the car its best resale value. Fixing dings in the bodywork. Will this make a significant difference to my selling price? I have two areas that need to be fixed. The first is a scrape against the rear passenger side wheel arch. Some panel beating and re-spraying is required which will cost $600-700 (so I've been quoted). The reason for the high cost is that this panel extends to the front A-pillar so the whole panel would need to to be re-sprayed. The second is scrape on the driver side corner of the rear bumper courtesey of some douchebag that doesn't know how to leave the kerbside after parking and does not leave a note. I was quoted that this would cost $230 - $250. Adding these two up is quite costly, so I don't know if selling the vehicle without these repairs will knock almost $1000 off it. My right front shock absorber has been quite worn out for some time as it makes kocking noises or is generally noisy when cornering or going over bumpy roads. I've been quoted $400 to replace the front two shocks. I think not changing these will make it harder to sell the vehicle. Your opinions? Is it normal to have to change shocks after 200,000km? The left hand side doesn't appear to be noisy. SRS airbag light flashes. I have had this flashing for a few years now mostly because I was too lazy to fix it after reading somewhere that it's not really a major issue. However, it could be a concern for selling otherwise may reduce sell value. Anyone know where this can be checked or reset in Sydney for cheap? There are a few minor internal details such as the clock and aircon console lights not working, but from my understanding I should be able to change the lights for these. The above are my main concerns and it all relates back to whether the cost of repairing it prior to selling it will have a major impact on the final sell price, so if you have any feedback at all it would be greatly appreciated.   9. i hope im not starting up an old thread, i have had a quick look through but no forum seems to have the answer im after, i'm looking at supercharging ol'faithful (03 1zz-fe corolla sedan) as far as i can find for price, servicing and longevity Rotrex seems to be the best option (C30-84 or C30-94 w/restriction sleeve) but the issue im running into is how dang tight the enginebay is on the pulley side, i had read on another forum (no one had posted for about 3 years, so i assumed its dead) that someone with a similar car moved the alternator to the other side, but left no pics about how he did this, whether he added extra tensioners, what the bracket he was that he used to mount it, nothing, so i was wondering if anyone has on a whymm moved the alternator to another spot to free up this area for a s/c option? ohh another reason im going for a Rotrex is how quiet they are, i love sleepers! if anyone is able to help shed some light that would be much appreciated!
