  1. From what people are saying it may be just a warming up issue. As I said, once it hits operating temp there is no noise.
  2. I went for a run in it today. I was a little wrong with the description, there is no tappet sound as the engine idles on start up, in fact it is as smooth as they come. The noise seems to happen as you are driving, as I mentioned before, it is not a big noise and only sounds like a slight tappet sound. Once the temp gauge reaches operating temp it is gone. The car has been well serviced and is in Mickey Mouse condition throughout, with160,000km on the clock. So I'm not sure it's wear and maybe it's just the sound this engine makes till it warms up? Maybe I'm just being anal, I am use to driving a 5 series BMW and they drive very quietly, who knows, guess I just want to make sure all is well. Thanks fellas for the help on this.
  3. I will try and get something over the weekend. It's not an overly loud noise but one I did notice, as I said it just stops when the engine gets to running temp.
  4. I have noticed with my 2007 Aurion sx6 that there seems to be a sound that is like a tappet noise when it is cold. Once it is warmed up to normal operating temp the sound goes, is this normal or engine ware? Does anyone else have a similar experience? Any feedback would be appreciated.
  5. Thanks for that info mate. I will have to check and see if there is someone who can do this in the Perth area. It's not the biggest problem but it is a distraction as I don't want to have to wrestle with the wheel.
  6. I had the types swapped around but still no change unfortunately.
  7. I wasn't sure that Toyota would touch it as far as a fix goes, but after what you have said I will have to look into it. I took it to get a wheel alignment on all four wheels the other day but it made no noticble difference. I don't mind paying the money to get it fixed as long as I know what needs fixing. I was hoping someone on here had had it done on a 2007 sx6 and could tell me the part number. Anyway, when I get it done I will let everyone know what the fix was.
  8. Thanks mate you could be right. I have had the car less than a week so I am just getting use to a whole different feel. I had a BMW 5 series before this so I am not sure if I am just so use to how that car sat on the road as apposed to this one. I will give it some more time and if I'm still having an issue with the pulling left I am get the bushes fitted that have been mentioned. Other than that I am very happy with the car.
  9. Hi all, just bought a 2007 Aurion SX6 Sportivo. Car runs great and have no complaints other than it pulls left. I have read all the comments here and just want to check to see if there are any up dates as far as fixing the problem. Thanks in advance.....
