Hi Guys, recently purchased a 1996 Camry 2.2 5 speed manual 196000kms on the clock - running fine until the other day it started "hesitating" a bit in 2nd and 3rd then power would kick in. Yesterday started fine, drove down the road about 5 minutes and the power just disappeared while I was driving - the revs were still up around 3000 with my foot to the floor but it wasnt accelerating. Pulled up and the idle was right down low and fairly rough and erratic. Turned off left for a few minutes turned back on and ok for a few minutes before doing the same thing. Got it home eventually and cleaned MAF sensor, throttle body and IAC, checked as best I could for any vacuum leaks etc but same thing - starts perfectly slightly high idle perhaps then a few minutes later it loses power while driving and runs rough. Turn it off turn it on starts fine and all happens again! Any ideas on what to look for or what issue could potentially be?
