Using touch screen on Grande

I'm a very very picky person and the below may sound really stupid...

However, for those people with a Grande, when you use the touch screen do you find that you need to lightly tap or firmly tap the screen when selecting options? The middle of my screen seems to feel a little springy as in when you touch the screen there's about a 1mm gap until you feel the touch pad beneth and the selection is chosen.....

Does this make sense to anyone....probably not....I might be over sensative.....
