EFI on a '76 Corona?

Recommended Posts

I have recently bought a '76 Corona with the 18R engine and an Aisan carburettor that is damn nearly seized solid. I could buy another carbie, but they are not exactly what you would call common, and might just be buying another dud... In the lateral thinking department I am considering putting EFI on it instead - presumably a throttle body and all the associated bits and pieces from a later Corona would be a good candidate?

The engine and everything else are OK, so a complete swap of a later engine would be a major overkill - maybe putting EFI on is too!

All suggestions gratefully received, but remember this is a '76 Corona - I am not interested in more power, I just want it to run reliably!

Many thanks
