My parents just purchased a Kluger and got the Toyota sat nav installed in it (they bought the base model but paid for the upgrade).

When driving using the sat nav (destination selected etc) it won't announce each turn like it does in my new Forester. It also won't re-route if I purposely drive off course.

Is there anything I can do to fix this or is it a known problem?

Also with my Forester I was able to defeat the button lockout by grounding one of the wires on the back of the unit so all of the buttons are available when driving. Is there some setting or method to do this on the Toyota unit?
