old school toyota parts source

Recommended Posts

Hello, Im from overseas and occasionally fly in to OZ. I notice that there is a fervent love for old metal here of all makes, like toyotas from the 70s that are stunningly fresh, down to the lights/brightwork.

I would like to restore one of these beauties where Im from, but Im at a loss to find body/interior parts/lights.

I would assume that a lot of the parts available here are locally produced. Can someone here direct me to a shop or service that sells these body/interior parts/lights?

Thank you in advance.

Unfortunatly, because there isn't any nation-wide "one stop shop" that does this sort of stuff I don't know who to point you to.

I do know of a couple of jap/Toyota wreckers, and I am familiar with what the common Auto stores stock.

Body parts and lights:

I know of two companies that specialise in producing parts that get damaged in crashes (bumpers, lamps & lots of other exterior parts).

1: SSS

2: All Crash

I don't think either companies deal direct with the public.

Repco (Nation-wide business) are a distributor for both companies.

If you can be more specific about what parts, what car and what part of the country you're from then us forum folk might be able to give you some more helpful advice.

Body parts like badges, trim, tail/headlights/side markers/grilles for the RT100, RT110, RT130, RT140, the AE92, AE101 and the KE70.

Looking for sources in Melbourne, please.

Try these guys:

http://www.amayama.co.jp/

They ship stuff direct from Japan to your door. Easy to get stuff takes at most 10 days, harder to get older stuff, which they are actually good at getting, takes a bit longer. Prices are good.

Your just going to have to be a bit patient trying to get that older stuff...
