Keyless key fob won't lock/unlock

Hi all, first time poster :)

Up until recently, I was a very happy Kluger Grande owner (2011 4WD). But almost two week ago, Kluger stopped responding to key presses and wouldn't start when the start button was pressed.

It looks like a key problem, or perhaps even a key detector problem since I can reproduce the problems with both keys. Since a week ago we've had to take out and insert the key part into the door to lock/unlock the car.

I'm about to take it to the dealership for a proper check. Anyone ever had problems with they keyless system? Any idea what might be going on?
