Knocking noise coming from steering column

Hi, over the past couple of weeks I have been noticing a knocking noise coming from the steering column as if something is loose. The noise is a constant knock with no set pattern and no different depending on road surface. Has anyone else experienced this and if so what was the outcome.

I had a similar problem with mine, Im not sure if its making the same noise as mine was or not.

Mine was more a clunking noise, It would do it when turning, mainly turning left, you could actually feel the clunking in the steering wheel while turning.

Mine turned out to be the intermediate shaft, when manufactured it they didnt put enough grease in it.

Mine was fixed under warranty, I had exended warranty with mine, because my kluger is a 2007 model and I bought it second hand.

Toyota were exellent with my problem, even with out warranty they were going to pay half.

Your kluger being a 2011 model yours will be fixed under warranty no problems.

Since mine was fixed the steering Is so much better, no more klunks, I actually think It handels better now, the steering Is more direct.
