Was doing some research on driving lights and found this great article. It covers Halogen, LED and HID lights with very rigourous testing, I found it very useful.

Cheers for that ray and welcome to the forum mate,I actually remember reading that light compairson, it was done by australian 4wd action magazine, which I used to buy, when I owned my number of 4wds, I love reading there articles and value there oppinion, they go to great depths testing products for there articles,I have bought a couple of products based on there tests, that was a great test for lights it gives people a choice for everyones budget and needs, they also list the pros and cons,of each type of light.
