  1. If I can get 5 people to place an order and deposit money then I will get a run of them made. But I need to get at least 5 done as that is the smallest number they will do at one time. The cost will be $80 each as the company who is doing the production has put up their prices. <_<

    So if you want one then add your name to the list below.

    1.Donza - Deposit received

    2.1zzfewagon - Deposit received

    3.JJCRU23R - Deposit received

    4.YDOIT4 -

    5.Xploshun -

    6.Gus - Deposit received

    PM Silvabullit for money transfer and bank details. :D

    Cheers Silvabullit.

    Hey Brennden,

    count me in. for payment, you still owe me, from the unfulfilled stive pedal order [ $105 ] from november 2005

    Gus

    haven't forgotten and i have also lost more of my own money than just your $105 through a so called wholesaler whose disappeared of the face of the earth with your money as well as $400 of mine :angry::angry: I will happily add you to the list and sort the difference out with you when the production run is complete.

    cheers SB:)

  2. i think stivo rim width range is 5.5"-7",

    so "215/50R16" should be a close match to factory?

    diameter, sidewall height, radius and circumference is very close being 0.08% from stock

  3. My sister is about to buy a brand new Levin :D and saw that we could get sat nav in it. Just wanting to know, do any of you corolla-owners have sat nav?

    yes, i have an after market sat nav system [not toyota's though] :)

    using "globalsat bt338" bluetooth gps with my o2 xda iii pda / smartphone with destinatorPN navigation software. it works very well and have tried and tested in the south west of w.a. ;)

    you can definately get dedicated all-in-one gps solution for the car that is cheaper than what comes from toyota

    e.g. navman, mio or tomtom

    checkout below for approximate pricing:

    $499 inc gst

    http://www.ow.com.au/shop/product_info.php...products_id/988

  4. do they make any difference?

    anyway~

    wts ur postcode.. so i can put it on the postage calculator stuff

    the stivo engine get's very hot under the bonnet, since the cooling panel directs / channels air into the engine bay, it should cool the engine bay temperature down by a few degrees. will know when i receive mine ;)

  5. in perth, w.a. $190 inc gst [safety inspection, change engine oil and oil filter],

    note: every 5,000km service involves the same car maintenance [engine oil, oil filter]

    only $140 inc gst [if you change engine oil, and oil filter your self] - however MUST be completed by "certified mechanic" and for warranty use "toyota" oil filter

    * Funny - the service folks gave me a hard time for using "rico" oil filter, but the were fine with the trd cai :P

  6. hmm

    ive been using genuine sh!t ever since i got the car

    anyone else uses it and did a change over?

    genuine motor oil...is pretty good haha

    never used anything else so wont know the difference

    cost too much man

    genuine motor oil is like 5 bottles for around $60

    my 5 cents:

    when you next service your engine and transmission oil, feel the toyota's engine / transmission oil and then feel the synthetic oil (e.g. castrol).

    the synthetic oil feels much smoother, lighter [viscocity]

  7. for engine oil, am using

    Castrol Formula R Synthetic 0W-40

    * SAE 0W-40

    * API SL/CF.

    * ACEA A3/B3/B4

    comments: can't notice any diference, but should ensure engine in good nick

    for transmission oil, am using

    Castrol Syntrax 75W-90

    * SAE 75W/90

    * API GL5

    comments: smooth gear change

  8. camber kit isnt very expensive in the scheme of things.. whiteline one i wanna get

    u guys think i should bother with camber kit for 35mm drop ?will my tyres still swear unevenly with 35mm? if so how many degrees should i have withthe kit? neg 1 ?

    my 5 cents, i think it depends on how one drives? e.g. drive the stivo like a go-kart or like granny :lol:

    i probably would skip the camber kit...

    feed back please :D

  9. I have investigated KYB options and could only be told that they only do a replacement for the standard strut that's non adjustable and is basically the same. Prices weren't available at this time but may be now.

    I can confirm that to, I was told the same.

    could confirm if the factory shocks are KYB, when i get mine replaced this week.

  10. ah, they changed the bung to the allen type key, or does the bung have a square hole in it?  hard to see in the pic.  If it's a square hole then it's like the drain bungs on newer Subaru diffs etc and you just use a 1/2" drive breaker bar or ratchet to undo it.  If it's an allen key shaped hole, purchase a 1/2" drive allen bit to fit.

    metric allen key 6 sided... 8mm I think and

    i tapped the plug prior to using the allen key

  11. pull the 24mm filler plug out on the front side of the box, put your finger in the hole and if you can feel the oil it's fine.

    Top it up through that hole, you fill the box through the same hole until oil starts to come out.

  12. interesting info during my search on springs...

    springs are either cold wound (eibach, h&r) or hot wound (e.g. kings, whitelines, lovells, pedders).

    cold wound springs delivers tighter production tolerances. e.g. spring gaps are more even, dimensions right on spec within 2% variation.

    hot winding springs may see up to 10% variation. also hot wound springs causes hydrogen embritlement and reduces fatique strenght

  13. Hey guys,

    ive got a quick question is it neccessary to get camber bolts for the Koni's or can you do without it?

    as mentioned by shaohaok, one could do without the camber kit, however it would mean more uneven tyre wear for the front hops [tyres].

    btw - camber kits are only for the front wheels. corolla's have torsion beam setup for rear, so the rear has natural -ve camber. hence no camber kit?

  14. If your rears are leaking that much then your fronts are prolly as bad if not worse. There's a superceeded part number for the rear struts (Jap part no) and the fronts are still the same. Had mine done(all 4) earlier this year.

    the other 3 shocks looks ok, but i'm getting toyota to check em out as part of my 20,000km service.

    probably get toyota to replace both rears or all 4 shockies if possible :)

    what are the jap part no for the rear strut?

  15. driver's side, rear shockiers

    details:

    + 2003 stivo

    + 14,500km odo

    + factory springs

    + factory shocks

    :angry:

    wondered if anyone else encountered shock failure like mine? considering low mileage...

    thinking aloud... are stivo shocks of such poor quality? :o
