  1. As in you can lift it up yourself but:

    a) it (the hatch) takes a bit of force, and

    B) it (the hatch) doesn't stay up?

If that's the case, your gas struts appear to be stuffed. You can get either replacements, or have them reconditioned (eg: http://www.strutregas.com.au/).

Edit: After I posted this answer, you edited your post... in that case disregard my above answer.

New response: So when you put the key in and turn clockwise, does the key turn smoothly? If you turn the key as far as you can clockwise then pull up on the hatch (give it a hard yank as this can happen), does it still stay locked shut? What happens when you pull the inside lever?

DJKOR : thz ur kindly respond..... i try both....then give up, go toyota tomorrow....there is a nice guy, always help me resloved problem

btw i dont hv inside lever...just the one under the door...

  2. My Mate ha d a similar issue in a wagon.. the rubber would get sticky or something... pull the lever so you know the latch is released and then open and then slam on of your other doors.

the pressure of the air being force inside the car will hopefully pop it open

i even dont hv the lever in my car.......................................

only one lever which is the fuel inject door.

    :(

  4. Yeah I was trying to think who it was. Man your car looks very good in real life. Didn\t know you had G-Games rims. Looks real hot :spiteful:

Where do live btw? I always see u in Northbridge :P

Thanks man! coz i work at northbridge.... i always see u too.... 2 times in northbridge, u car look very good, and sound good too

i live in leederville.....and u ?... coz hs some question abt mod the car. ^^"

  5. looks good. Noob question though... with spraying the badge black... did you sand it or what prep did you do? OR did you just clean it and sprayed directly onto it? and what paint did you use so that the black won't scuff off the original chrome badge? If any of that made sense LOL

hey thanks. not much prep work. Just cleaned it then sprayed. Did the same with my headlights. Not sure if it will scuff off the chrome paint though..

    i think i saw u today at 7 in leederville... ^^"

  6. It may not ALWAYS rub. I'm just saying I have heard of cases on the ZZE-series Corollas where 18" wheels rub, and I have heard cases where they work with no rubbing. I guess it depends on your car.

or may depends on the wheel????

so are u advise i buy 17 instead of 18 for safety..... because its not cheap.....??

  7. 18" looks better but there's greater posibility that they will rub when turning because of width. 17" rides better and will have little chance of rubbing.

So there is no point to buy 18"???? i mean if it will always rub when turning......
