I know I'm reviving this dead thread and sorry, but where did you get your dash gauges from and how much?

sorry it took me so long, but im back!! i got my gauges from eBay, look for "Castle Hill gauges" they do a brilliant job. :Update!: JDM gauges In!!

JDM Gauges In, Shortshifter installed too, and seats wired up.

New gauges, notice the speedo ends at 180KM/H, its also added a speed bell.

White Door lenses. i got the idea from a mate on ST162.net (Rev_head is his screenname) who has the same setup, but with blue globes.

Does anyone else know about the No Smokers trays? i got one with the parts car...

BTW, i need new radiator hoses... im in dire need of radiator hoses... they are stuffed.

Birthday is in 2 weeks... going to get new tyres, and new rego. (the ones have almost worn out... dont get sime tyres. they wear too quick. i had mine just a few months, and are almost down at the wear maker.)

there was this one time getting into the car for the first time with the new seats, i slid myself forward to get comfortable, and i gave myself a wedgie. thats how well these seats hold ya, lol

Dont even get me started...

1: People who sit at 60-70 in a bloody 100 zone!

2: people who cant merge.

3: people who wander into other lanes with no notice...

4: ones who dont give way. (happened to me twice. almost hit the **** prick!(bashed him up-hit))

5: Road rage drivers... happened to me once, plenty of room to change lanes, the **** sped up and tapped my bumper!!! lets just say i was out of there quicker than two rabbits in mating season...

6: people who dont bother to see if they have a headlight/taillight out. my most personal pet hate.

7: people who ride their brakes for no reason at all!!!

Looks good and sounds great mate. And i know what your going through lol i dont live with my mum but everytime she sees one of my celica's shes always "Why does it have to be so loud? Does that realy need a turbo on it? Why dont you buy a 4 door car? What are you gonna do when you have kids and can't get them in the back?? I saw this nice 4 door ford lazer the other day....." Ect Ect... Oh and i will be selling a ST162 for parts in the new month or so. I'll start a new thread when im ready to move it. it looks like a pie tin because all i had to cut the metal was pruning snips. it would look better if i had proper tin snips.

no problem man, just think a bit more carefully before you post, make it look less like an insult. reason i went with the varex, i live in an area with old people in, and they like quiet. thats the reason why.

i wish i had thoes kinda buses when i was at school, the buses i had was slow, noisy, drove on the motor way without seatbelts and had metal poles running over the top and when the bus driver screwed the hill start, everyone would scream and get their head smacked on the pole.

ill look up on the jet washer for u mate. i have never taken a school bus to school, but i get irritated when i get stuck behind one in traffic. not to mention they smell bad.

take it to ur closest mechanic, (ultra tune or places like that) get them to look at it. sounds like a bad problem that needs urgent attention.

i got a Varex for my celica too, sounds awesome on the 3SFE, so, it would sound even better, on the 3SGTE, and even better on the V6 aurion... nice setup mate!

Anyone know where i can get a Celica GT-Four Bonnet vent? i want one for when i install the turbo engine. any ideas?

Try Jetspeed or the like but srsly...... May I suggest you keep your monies and buy a proper GT4?

no, they didnt, but i saw a pic of of a celica st162 (Like mine, hatchback tho) with one, and i admit, it looks damn sexy.

I own an '87 SV21, it's my first car, I've recently installed a pod filter and am quiet happy with the deep tone it gives off. The engine is a bit rough and boggy, but I was told valve saver fluid would solve that. I drive it pretty hard, especially on turns and when taking off, and since camping is coming up at Lake Eildon in a couple of days I want to do some touge on the winding roads there. The front suspension has been replaced by a stock from another SV21, however the rear are worn out and very bouncy.

I was wondering if there is any cheap suspension out there that is ideal for hard cornering, and any other modifications that should be made to enhance handling and performance?

P.S

I'm on a very tight budget if any at all, so please take that into consideration. Also when I say 'suspension', I do so as I'm not very good with the anatomy of the suspension, such as the dampers, coilovers etc. But please feel free to mention these parts as I am very good at researching :) Cheers!

i would replace the entire suspension (just did this with my celica). i have pedders units installed with my car, and my car handles very well. The pedders ones are worth looking at. if you get some, do it quick, christmas is coming up, and the rozzers are going to be around like flys on a corpse. and we dont want you getting pinged by the coppers, do we? while you are at it, check your tyres for wear, and make sure all lights are 100 percent functional. im saying this to stop you getting nicked by the rozzers.
