Hi, I'm after a 09 Kluger Grande 2WD with front+back sensors, front+back mats, I got a quote on Toyota gold fleet discount of $62,553 drive away. Is this a reasonale price or did others get theirs at a lot cheaper?

There is a reason they are called Gold Fleet :D , seems steep to me ;)

Thanks, they just called back today with the trade in price of my other car, and unfortunately what they offer my car is still $7K away from my payback figure to the leasing company, so might have to re-do my maths again.

I had the same problem when selling my lease car so i ended up using Novated Remarketing ...as a suggestion, got a better price than trade in but lower price than selling privately ..

Hey mate, how does Novated Remarketing work? is it like adding the residual amount of your original vehicle to the next car?I've asked my novated lease company (called NLC) and they said u must payout the owing amount on the first car regardless u trade it in or sell it privately.

Basically they will value the car .. what they think they can sell the car for .. then if its less than the residual .. then you give them the difference and they will pay out the residual .. eg .. if residual of the car is $20K .. and they think the value of the car is $2K .. then you have to give them $2k and they will pay out the residual. Sometimes they may think they can sell the car for $22K .. then they will pay out the residual and and give you extra $2K less their fees ..

But in the end if they end up selling the car for $25K .. they will give you $25K less their fees .. so they are basically selling your car for you but they will pay the residual out before they even sell the car !

PRobably best to give them a call to get a better understanding its pretty hard to explain

Talk to Ryde Toyota - Rabih Daye great guy .. able to give me a great price when i bought my 08 KX-S FWD in January ended up beating prices from online wholesale buyers.

Hi Guys , I am getting ready to buy a Kluger Altitude FWD, I am based in melbourne, can anyone give me some advise on fleet pricing and discounts, how they work and the negative aspects of it , I dont have a ABN or run a business, but a company I spoke to say even private individuals can get the discount, if it is that easy than why is'nt everyone doing it specially if you get 5-6k off the RRP ..Advise Please..

When i asked for a fleet discount from my dealer all they asked me to do was fill in a form and i got my work to sign the form and then I just returned the form back to Toyota and we got a $3950 discount on a FWD KX-S. It was really easy to do. Just make sure you tell the dealer that you are entitled to the discount then they will give you the form. Sometimes some dealers wont give you the form. Also on top of that you should also get a discount from the dealership on the car.

I am in the market for a new car and I was wondering if anyone could tell me what a reasonable price (dealer fitted) is for the following extras?

I am just trying to work out which model to get based on best resale value as I probably intend to sell the car in a year;

- Nudge Bar

- Side Steps

- Roof-racks for non-rail (KX-R)

- Roof-racks for rails (KX-S, Grande)

- Front-sensors

- Rear-sensors

- Fog lamps

- Tinted Windows

New member here and hopefully new Kluger owner soon as well. Enjoy the posts and sharing the wealth of advice here .......only wished I came across this site earlier. :(

Just asking for your honest feedback. Purchased a KX-R AWD 5 seater with Graphite Metallic, 6 cd stacker bluetooth kit, nudge bar, dash and floor mats for $45K OTR. Bought it back in early October from a WA dealership. Expecting to receive delivery this Friday (more than 3 months wait :( ) and the dealership has stated that I would be receiving a JAN 2009 build model. I guess I am a bit of an amateur bargainer after reading some of the posts here with the deals that have been negotiated.

I don't suppose that a can still negotiate genuine side steps and/or tow bar or even mud guards at this late stage? If anyone can help, what should I expect to pay for these additional accessories if I can't negotiate these in and is there much margin to negotiate with. Also, what cost would I be up for an additional row of seats.

When purchasing my new car the dealer told me if i wanted to wait for the 09 Built Klugers they will not arrive till the late February or March and they also advised me the 09 Models are subject to the price rise of 3% so i dont know if that will apply to you since you already negotiated the price last year.

With regards to negotiating the accessories it doesn't hurt to ask and see if they will give it to you... maybe you should talk to another dealer .. and see what price they are willing to give and then go back to the original dealer and tell them I got a quote and they are giving me this with all the accessories .. can you match that or else i will go to them .. i think you might just give up the deposit depending on the price difference i guess.

These are the prices listed on my receipt for the accessories:

Side Step: $903.63

Tow Bar: $803.78

Cargo Mat: $97.20

Floor Mats: $123.45

Front & Rear Parking: $859.10

Pretty good deal with all those extras. I'm looking for the 4WD version. Hopefully can get it a bit cheaper than that but without so many extras.

Yeah 4WD is $4500 extra and I asked for a Fleet discount to get the price.

I think the only difference is that the dealer ones are included in the new car warranty.

When I got my KX-S they installed aftermarket ones which had indicators as well as the beeps for the distance both front and reverse.

Also just to let you know my Rear sensors dont go off the towbar attached.

Just made a deal .. $48500 inc GST & OTR .. i think thats a pretty good price :) hopefully pick it up next week or two.. very excited

This is the same quote i got from the online search company in December and the price is the same this month apparently since there is alot of demand for the 08 models they are not reducing the prices even more in January even though Toyota is suppose to have "Factory Bonuses"

I'm just finalising my Kluger KX-S purchase though novated lease with fleet discount etc and have come up with the following deal. Just wanted to bounce it off our resident experts to ensure I've left nothing on the table.

I've ordered the following spec:
