hi guys
just let you know i already had rim and tyre change for my 08 corolla hatch
kappa rims 17''x 4, cost me $1000.00
pirelli Pzero rosso 225/45/17 x4 , cost me $1095
total 2095
are these reasonable ?
thanks
-
also , should I buy any other fitting kits for kappas from toyota dealer?
-
what kind of tyres I should get for 17'' kappa rims? anybody suggestion ? thx
-
thanks guys
-
What kappa rims are they?
As many replica rims in 17x7 are roughly $200 per rim and you can get bridgestone re001 215/45r17 performance tyres also for $200 per tyre.
$1600-$1700 installed and wheel alignment should be the mark you are looking at depending on the rim you get, the tyres shouldn't be more than $250ea.
the toyota genuien Kappa rims for zre152 or other toyota cars
i checked with 4 toyota dealers in mel , there is no cheaper than 285 per rim,

I want to put 17'' kappa rims to my 08 corolla .
the best offer I got so far is from brighton toyota .
they quoted me $2,030 for 4 x rims and 4 x dunlop sport tyres including fitting .
just wondering if this is reasonal price?
thanks for your help

for the fog light you can try ebay, I bought the fog light from ebay for $110 delivered and it comes with everything...and bought the plastic surrounding/frame from toyota for $150 a pair (trade price).
IMO ZRE152 looks better without side skirt...
I tried ebay AU recently but no luck

I want to get same thing like you for my hatch Asent Zre152

HI Guys
got my friend checked today, didnt find anything faulty, like engine monut . he said every is alright , -_- WTF......
but I still feel slight shaking since oil and filter changed. maybe I am too sensitive or 5w-30 oil is too thin for corolla?
BTW , Is any problem with warranty if my car only had oil filter changed to Repco instead of toyota's
thanks
-
I will ask someone to check it this weekend, and see what they say.
but I will let all your guys know if we find out the reason so that would be useful if anyone has similar issue in future.
thanks everybody again.

i have no clue where the oil filters are located on these engines, but when its changed does the old oil run somewhere? did he wash the engine bay?? could he may of d/c a vacuum hose accidentally while doing this service??
is warranty covered if you dont get it serviced by toyota? maybe if u get it under warranty best not say u carried out an oil change?
I would not tell toyota it had a oil and oil filter change recently if I have to take it back. -_- but i think they will find out anyway because the oil filter is changed to Repco , not toyota Genuine.
-
i also suggested the engine mounts but being such a new car, i dont see how it would have broken already...
-BK-
im very disapponit if engine mount have broken already as a new car ........-_____-!!! hopefully it is not this problem . sounds I have to take it back to toyota or my friend...
but thanks your guys anyway.
-
so it is definitely not because of oil and filter change?
-
could be the fan turning on
thanks for your reply,
could you tell me which fan you talking about,
just forget to mention, If I change "D" to "N" , the shaking 's gone immediately. no shaking at all as i feel
-
BTW, shaking is not very strong and bad, but I can feel shaking clearly through steering wheel ,gear and seat.
.

hi guys , sorry im not a native english-speaker , so hopefully the below descirption will make sense for your guys. as one of corolla fans , I really need you help , appreciate!!
my 2008 Corolla AUTO just done 5,500km , ten days ago it had engine oil(gold castrol 5w-30) and oil filter (Repco) change by my friend who is a toyota mechanic.
but after that , my car starts shaking especially when I am waiting at traffic light or gear is at "P" position with engine running ,
and engine noise is louder than before . I checked oil level indicator which is normal, and rpm stays normal as well
my friend says alright , but shaking is really annoying me in past week , i
just wonder Have your guys ever met this problem before? is this because i dont use toyota genuine toyota oil and oil filter or could be other problem ?
could please someone help me out with this issue..........many thanks !

Added the TRD High Response Muffler to my Levin SX this week and the first thing I noticed was the sound it's good but subdued. The response in terms of acceleration of the mark was good and it is especially good in the 5-6k range. There is a little bit of drone at under 2.5k, but it's not too bad and I am not down that low very often or for very long. The big surprise was the improved fuel economy approximately 10% saving when driven sedately given the distances that I do the muffler should pay for itself in under a year (but then again I didn't pay the current retail.
Visually it has a nice tip but apart from that the unit itself does not look that different to the standard muffler accept of course the kW adding TRD badge.
Apologies for the poor picture quality will get some better ones over the weekend
good stuff, Are you in Mel, wheare you get it from and how much ? I am insteresting in it.
