Is anyone else having trouble changing gears in the high rev range?

like when i have it at around the 8000rpm range in 1st and go in to 2nd it doesn't go in nicely or quick for that matter

same goes for 2nd to 3rd.... probably every gear there after too but i haven't tried that because the cops would surely take my demerit points away! :(

Help a brother out! anyone else having this issue???
