  1. Clay ftw! I mainly park in a garage, but from time to time, I park under the under tree. I get the occasional tree sap on the paint. I have tried all sorts of shampoo ... but to no avail. Not until I tried using a clay bar. It rip the sap off right away. I was amazed at to what it could do. As for the metho ... I'll have to say no to that.
  2. I'll be taking it in for a service next Wednesday. I'll let everyone know how I go.
  3. Yep I've been driving around for the past few weeks with the vent set to draw air from outside. But as soon as I turn it to recycle air, the stench comes back instantly.
  4. NIIIIIIce!!!! Where did you get them from?
  5. Do the one's sold at autobarn have the clips? or are they just the stick on ones? It just seems the ones with the clips are more secure than the stick on ones. Another question, when we call then slimline, what measurements are they? I've seen the Mazda ones and they look really good ... too bad we cant use those ones. Oh, i've got a 2006 Corolla sedan
  6. Is there much difference between the after market ones and the Toyota ones? The only thing I can see is that the after market ones don't have the clips.
  7. I'm actually considering getting a set of slims. But wanting to see people's comments on them before doing so. Also how much would a set normally cost?
  8. Thanks champ! I guess I'll have to drive in 2nd gear then :P
  9. Hi Guys, I have seen several types of weather shields around. They range from the slick on ones to the ones with nuts and bolts. With the stick on ones, how reliable are they? Like, will they fall off whilst you're driving or are will they stay on?
  10. Hi All, It's been a while and rather than creating a new thread, I thought I'd bring this one back to the top of the heap. The mushroomy smell is still there. And I've noticed, that the smell is only there when I turn on the cool. I don't seem to be able to smell it when I've got the HEAT on. So this is really driving me nuts ... If I take it to the garage, what are they likely to do? Is there something they can do to fully get rid of it?
  11. What squeezes my nuts is when drivers cant reverse park. Im not fussed if they take their time ... but what really gets me is when they cant park in the middle of their allocated space. Their tyres on on or over the yellow line - intruding into the next spot. Like ffs!! .. how is the next person supposed to park there? and if I am the one that parks there, the chances of noob drivers like that scratching your paint is highly ... /rant
  12. I've sprayed half a can of glen 20 into the air intake (under the wipers), whilst having the heat on full blast. The filter was taken out before spraying ... After leaving the heat on for 10 mins, I then turned off the heat and let it sit there for the night. The next day I took it for a drive and to my amazement, there was no mushroomy smell ...... however!!! Yesterday driving home from Canberra, I noticed a slight hint of the moldy smell coming back. Was there anything I did wrong? Or is there anything else I should do to my routine?
  13. Where abouts is this air duct? Is it the air intake valve under the windscreen wipers? or is it another thing you're talking about? Also, whereabouts is the evaporator?
  14. I hate tailgaters the most ... When ever I see these asses, I slow down diliberately
