  1. Why bother with chasing them for 20mins??? Petrol is pricey these days :D

Just give them a few honks and be on your merry way.

Its also good to keep some nice big long tools in your cars, just in case you blow a tyre so you need a nice 20" breaker bar for leverage to remove the nuts

I guess so, but my mates said don't carry anything that can be used as a weapon as if cops pull you over, you could get in trouble, for having a weapon ready to use.

And yeah, petrol is kinda pricey, but IMO, it was actually fun, had the adrenaline pumping and all :) Gonna do it again, next Saturday, but this time come with lots of people.

    you are an idiot...

i thought you would have learnt by now that you could have been in deep****

I did, but this time we going back to look for those two cars, and well, pay back, I think...

I vote for you organising the next meet

we can all rack a few lines, the adrenaline will be pumping!!!

and if we cant find these guys, we'll find someone else to harrass

    LMAO

lets just hope they arent out with all their mates looking for u this weekend..

but that could be good too.

u mite become the new kid on TV and go into the big brother house :P

  2. by the end of it we found out DOT 3 fluid was recommended by toyota for my car.

DOT3 is pretty hard to find these days; even so I wouldn't be using DOT3 due to the low boiling point.

So DOT3 is recommened for our car, like it writes it on the lid where its poured into the car.

but it has a low boiling point and thats not good for the corolla?

are there other attributes of DOT3 that are different to DOT4 than the boiling point?

If its just the boiling point that is different then why doesnt everyone use the one with the highest boiling point?

and DOT3 can be found right next to DOT4 at eh super cheap in wetherill park, havnt checked else where though.

  3. Its also advisable to bleed your brakes especially when you have removed the hose from the callipars because there could be potential air bubbles trapped in the system and compromise your braking.

    All 4 that is.

Happy to be corrected if wrong but that's what I did the few times I removed it.

yes it is a good idea due to the air bubble issue, I have been driving around like this for the last few weeks now, and i have no noticed any compromise in my braking, is it supposed to be noticed?

I mean ive been driving at around 60-80km/h and slamed the clutch and brake and it stops really quick.. u can feel the abs and it gives u a thrill, similar to lif :P

but i dont remember removing any hoses either, like the "brake piston thingy" was removed and that had a hoses connected to it.

but that hose was not removed.

  4. i had a set of new DBA slotted discs sitting in my boot along with the new pads for around a week or so...

and i wake up to this msg on bookface

    Your f*kn brakes

    Between You and Tripper

Lan, ive been up all night looking at video's, reading forums about brakes and im full into it now lol. I know you probably wont see this before we start working on it tomorrow but this is the plan.

We go to Supercheap... rax some DOT4 brake fluid, about 1 litre of it and also some carby cleaner. We than go back to yours or mine or wateva and then we start the job.

    1. Firstly, we need to take off the front wheel. Take the Caliper and the mounting bracket off.

    2. We than slide off your old rotor and just before we slide the new one on, we have to clean it first with some carby cleaner. Dw ill explain that later lol.

    3. We than slide the new disc on and put the caliper mounting bracket back on.

    4. We then slide the new pads into the bracket. While doing this, we need to open up the brake master cylinder reservoir (which is in your engine bay) and then we compress the piston back into the caliper with a G clamp :)

    5. We than need to put the caliper back on and secure all bolts this that. Ok so thats 1 wheel done, now we repeat the exact same thing to the other wheel.

    6. After the other front wheel is done.... we than BLEED your brakes. This is going to make your everyday braking alot sweeter and more reliable. First of all, we have to make sure theres enough fluid in your master cylinder reservoir so we can go through with it.

    7. After we check that, we have to bleed all 4 brakes!! and I mean all 4!!! None of that "Nah i cbf bro ive had enough *****" We're gona sit there like c**ts and your going to help me bleed all the brakes. And dw ive researched all night on this shiit and ill know what ill be doing, its very simple.

Once we put the 2 new rotors in, the new pads in and the new fluid along with bled brakes, this thing would be ready for track bro lol :P

Anyways, i also researched on how to change gearbox oil but alot of people are saying its hard to do, messy job, rather get a professional to do it this that so i say we leave that to another time. But we're getting them brakes done 2moro bro!!! Anyways im off g, im gona punch a cone and go to bed lol.

    Hadi see u 2moro at midday. C**t :)

by the end of it we found out DOT 3 fluid was recommended by toyota for my car.

i said i cbf for bleeding the brakes, and it wasnt done :P

and there is one ugly bolt to get to at the top which u can see in the pics..

  7. hey everyone, im looking for a guy called justin, we met at the end of june whilst driving down towards spit bridge, both pulled over and exchanged numbers, decided to come to the meets together, however he was going to NZ and i just got bak from europe, but i lost my fone over there, so i lost ur number mate..

let me know if u read this.. :)

  8. spotted justin near spit bridge, in the lil car park, and hopefully he will be coming to the next meet :) hehe. nice to meet ya, hopefully we go crusing wen we both get back.

oh and spotted another stivo parked near a park in that area, i think they were there for fishing:P

and wen they left, all u heard was lift

  9. Spotted a red Sportivo at Whetherill Park Stocklands car park yesterday around 12:30pm. Plates were 1NICE1. Looked very nice :)

ye i always see it parkd there, outside, in the place oposite the TAB/chemist, i like the exhuasts, twin tips bent up a lil bit, looks hott. :D

  10. umm ...its not even $20.00 for a stubby.

and taking it off someone else's car.. you wouldnt like it if you came back to ur car to find it missing an antenna ay?

um if its only $20 then who ever loses one can buy it, or hey since its only $20 u can buy a couple and give them out

and if it were to go missing on my car, im sure i wouldnt b too disappointed. its only an antenna, we have cd players now && ill have my old one, or better yet find another one. :yahoo:

  11. The other day i was at me mates and i thought how **** the long aerial looked so i said "Fukn righto, wheres ya **** tin snips?!" and me mate got me his tin snips and i cut the end off and rounded the end off on the concrete and then used black spray paint from my mates extensive spray paint collection he has for graffiti to colour in the end..... Looks oright, cause i dont see the point in forkin out for a fancy aerial when i can get perfect reception with my grousley modified bogan aerial

so u just cut off the extended bit off the original aerial ??

and the reception is fine ??

if so im gonna do this ahhaha dont wanna spend money on a stubby antenna

paying money...bahaha..better walk up to a crv and think how much better they would look with out and aerial..LOL

even better get one of ur mates to have a look and see how much better it would look...

    ps. u know who u r...thanks champ :P

  12. this is a a bit off topic

but semil are those rims stockies sprayed white??

lol nope...theyre aftermarket...but ive parkd next to quite a few stock sportivos and now considering a change...white with a chrome lip...coz this way it just looks too plain....it stands out when clean...but thats not very often :P hehe

  13. semil shift like a man and slam it into second works for me everytime :)

    cheers

    LOL

soon after i bought the car i startd doing great shifts, but then it just got worse and worse, i think i should go for the clutch adjustment that some ppl have done. its just reali hard to take it out of gear wen in lift.

but then again maybe i should hit the gym LOL

    :P

  14. hey ppl, i was searching around on the net and happened to come across this little thingy, :)

now i remember reading sumwhere on this forum that the reason y some ppl are experiencing the shifting problem from first to second whilst at high rpms

is bcoz the clutch doesnt disengage enough from something enough, well this little item seems to solve that problem..

any1 heard of this b4? or think it would work?

    :)
