  1. Just to let anyone else whos after the information know...

Basically the paseo and the ep91 starlet share the same floor plan. Shocks, swaybars, springs are interchangeable. There are some minor differences with the top of the shock between the ep91 and ep82.

I am pretty sure the paseos and ep82s have the same brakes. Ep82 and ep91 have slightly different brakes. The Australian ep91 has slightly smaller brakes than the Jap Glanza ep91.

  2. I don't think the Starlet front/rear coilovers go into the Paseo because of the weight difference, this is from memory mind you probably best to ask a (good) suspension specialist.

Also with the breaks you can take the rear disks from the Starlet and put them into the Paseo if you want there is a howto guide for it on Toyota Nation somewhere. If I remeber correctly the handbrake can be a bit touch and go with this conversion. You can get bigger front disks for the Paseo on eBay (well you use to be able too)

Thats all I remeber for now, but you might want to try using Toyota Nation (just google it), as they have a pretty big base of Paseo peepz there. Also post up pics of the finished product, theres nothing quite like a mod'ed Seo!

Weight isnt the issue, just need to know if they'll bolt in or not. Even with a 5 front 3 rear kilo spring it'll hold nicer than stock stuff, and its not like aussie roads require bull**** stiff suspension anyway.

Tried toyota nation, bunch of tosshead yanks with no idea about cd installs.

cheers for the info, if anyone else can help us out it would be good. MC ready paseo will certainly have pics when its done :)

  3. Hey

My housemate has just got herself a 96 paseo (red with a sunroof, lol girly, but it suits her).

I've looked around rinkya and slidewize at half cuts n such, and want to know if starlet front struts go straight into the paseo (would be great if we got a cut), and do the rears go in aswell?

Tien makes a set for the starlets, and they pop up on yahoo jp all the time.

Also, what brake options do we have? Is the starlets master cyl bigger than the paseos? I know you can get brake stoppers for them

Just for the record, we are planning to go down the path of putting 4fte pistons in the 5fe and bolting the turbo gear onto it.

    :spiteful:

    cheers lads

  4. hey guys,

    i'm a blow-in from the R31skylineclub forums...

Name's azza, and im currently playing the 'what should i do' game concerning cars. I mean, I love the R31 skylines, however, i do like cressidas... especially the older ones with the full red velvet interiors...

and then on the club site i saw this car posted,

    cressida.jpg

and I always thought that these things where FWD four bangers... So im starting to look into the toyota option, but know diddly about them (throw me questions about RB engines and I can answer usually, but i cant work out all this 4jzxeccfaSfgasd whatever stuff)

so yeh. G'day, teach me about the cars, tell me whats good (ill be looking around the 2.5k mark early next year... I want to get a rb30et powered R31 silo, but you might be able to convince me into liking a toyota...), and also somebody buy my bull bar ive got for sale! lol... gotta get rid of that thing
