http://www.meguiars.com.au/C4C6.htm
Has anyone used the products in the package? Are they worth the price?

let us know if you have any plans to mod the car and what you plan to do to it in the other parts of the forum

what needs doing to it?
- radiator flush ( i might need a new one because its rusted and looses fluid)
- new fuel filter
- clutch adjustment and check
- brake pads need checking properly
- small oil leak behind rocker cover and possibly manual trans ( I cant tell exactly where its coming from)
- check valves and hoses
- clutch fluid bleed and change
- Check gearbox (supercharger whine comes when in 2nd gear)
- check all other components because I don't know service history ( bought it 4 weeks ago)
What i have done so far:
- Engine oil
- Oil filter
- Air filter
- Spark plugs
- Spark leads
- Injector clean
- wheel alignment and balance and rotate

I would love to come along for the cuze.
However I need to finish off my major service. I have done parts myself but am trying to get a hold of a mechanic to complete it. Without it done I wont be able to make it.

Hi,
My first car was a 1993 Ford Festiva WA
It was the most fun car I have ever had. I got it for nothing from my sister as a gift.
It was a white 5 speed manual and what i learned to drive in.
A whopping 43Kw in a lunchbox with many memories. Top speed 150km/h even ground , 160km/h downhill and 80km/h uphill on F3
13" wheels and $20p/w in fuel
Easy as to work on and seated 5 and suddenly becomes lowered madd as.
1.3L Carby was pretty fun.
Later on I upgarded it to a luxury model.. i was given a cup holder
Never had any problems.
I removed the stock 4" rear speakers and put in Pioneer 6x9 in the rear lid. JVC deck.
I ended up selling it for $500 quick sale to try and save money by using my gf's car and pay half of all costs to it.
We worked close to each other and she lived at my place so it was ok until we broke up. So I bought a Celica at a car auction, i was pressured by the sales guy at first I thought I wouldn't like it but now I adore it.
Check out my first car in my album
Anyone else have a story to share?
lol

Yeh sorry, I was referring to slotted disc rotors, i need to adjust my terminology
But if they end up wearing the pads quicker I might be best off just buying high quality pads like this which I was considering
-
Just wondering whether to out and buy vented disc rotors for my 95 celica as my pads wear out pretty quickly
My car has average quality brake pads and stock rotors. Would getting vented rotors reduce pad wear? Or would I be better off just using high grade pads and not bother changing rotors?
I haven't taken out my pads yet to take a closer look because I only bought the car about a month ago and havn't had time to.
Can anyone give me advice on this?
When im in a rush im usually a heavy braker to and from work or tafe.

Thanks guys,
Hoping to bring it to immaculate condition with a few performance mods
Should be good

Go the Potenza.
I havn't used them yet. I have NSII's but I will replace them with Potenza's.
I did some quick research on both sites and I believe Potenza has better build quality.
But if you want something cheaper maybe try the XenonZ7
Has anyone used these before?
-
Yeh
That sounds like a gearbox issue. You should have it looked at by a mechanic or warranty if you still have it
Does the vibrations from the noise pass through to the Gear knob?
Take a quick look under the hood and under engine bay and look for any small leaks along the transmission and diff
Grab a LED torch if you have one, if not you can pick 1 up for $10
