Thanks guys. We left the interior lights on the car in the airport long term car park while we were away. Guess those little bulbs suck the juice out of the battery over a week.
I noticed that the century and supercharge battery have a similar code of NS70L.

Hi guys
Anyone got any recommendations for a replacement battery for a 2009 kxs.
Got jump started and made it home but RACV want 185$ for one of theirs which they were out of stock anyway.
Thanks m

thanks for that! off to supercheap this weekend
Cheers, thanks for the info! Do you have any more info on the net? Brand, size, and if its a universal one, or one specially for the Kluger. Cheers.Just bought 1 from supercheap auto. Universal type - SCA brand, Trunk Net. 100cm x 50cm. $25.68. Fits well, doesn't look that deep but is elastic and stretchs quite a bit. Can also be used as a cargo net, ie flattened out (see pic on packaging below). It has plastic clips on each corner, but these do not connect to the shopping bag hooks in the kluger. You can however remove the plastic clips and simply use the elastic loop. This works ok, but probably needs to be looped over the shopping bag hooks twice to be more secure.

simple answer, we dont use the auto mode....
Thats the problem i've got. I don't use AUTO mode (always off), but it comes on automatically by itself without pushing any buttons whatso-ever. And this is during driving!

im gonna guess this is for a 2WD not AWD?
Depending on colour and if the dealer can network to get one. Otherwise, new from the factory, a car like can take 3 months. (as a dealer told us)
In the end, we ordered the car in August, got it in September. But the build date was July.

Easiest thing to do is do all the online quotes. Easy and you can compare the prices/cover straight away.
I went with AAMI cause it was the cheapest. I have house and contents and another car insured with GIO, but they wouldnt come to the party and match the AAMI price. There loss.

Hmm. Seems to be a pretty common issue arising. Cars shouldn't be like this. We've had Hondas and Holdens throughout the family, and neither of them have had an issue with rotten egg smell from brand new.

I've noticed the occasional RE smell outside the car at the end of a drive - but never inside the car
Yeah, its really bad. It would make you dry reach its that pongy! :(

Hi, another question.
Anyone else experiencing that when you start the car, the climate control sometimes doesnt keep the settings you had used last? Like its defaulted.
Example. I never use the "AUTO" mode. Just cause i dont gernally like driving with the AC on. I also have "SYNC" on aswell.
Quite a few times, ive started the car, and "AUTO" is ON and "SYNC" is OFF. Just as if the system has defaulted?
Also we've also had the "REAR" automatically come on all by itself occasionally.
Hmmm. Looks like i might have to get Toyota to investigate if this is not a common problem.
Thanks.

Hi guys,
ive only had the ksx-s awd for a few months now, but occasionally with the fan on low during driving, i get a really bad rotten egg smell that enters the car. Im not sure if its coming in via the vents, or from under the car or something. It doesnt seem to matter if its on heat, fan, or air con?
Ive read somewhere that a rotten egg smell can indicate the that the catalyic converter may be buggered.
Any one else experience this, or have any suggestons?

One of the small things I miss from my Discovery 2a is the shopping bag hook in the left of the centre console. One or two plastic shopping bags or takeaway Chinese food in a plastic bag hung in the passenger floor well nicely without sliding around the floor.
The hooks in the very back of the Kluger are not high enough to hang normal shopping bags - the bag handles are taller than the hooks and they just slide around the rear area spilling their contents out when you go around corners.
The hooks are really designed for the OEM envelope cargo net they sell in the USA.
See pic below:
With this system opening just the rear window to put shopping bags in makes sense.
Does anyone have one of these?
The part number for Gen 1 Klugers is PT347-48041 (I think they need the top hooks to install)
The part number for Gen 2 Klugers is PT347-48080
Also can we get these in Australia?
You can get them on USA eBay - but the shipping is as much as the cargo net.
I was hoping there was something like this avaiable in AU. In my dads Captiva, hes got the Holden OEM one, and its great. If you have any luck sourcing one in AU, let me know!

Hi all,
Ive been offered changer over price of $53K for a Graphite/Leater KX-S AWD with
Side steps
Front/Rear genuine parking sensors
Front/Rear mats
and that is including our $4500 trade in.
I tried pushing for a Sunroof to be thrown in but they wouldnt budge. Is this a good price, or could i do slightly better? (RRP Price was roughly $61K)
Cheers

I was just going off what the racv man told me. He said it will get you home. But you will need a new battery. The car started fine today and went to get it checked. The battery specialst said that battery is about at 50 percent and holding charge. So you are right! Thanks :)
