  1. hey, long time no speak, i found out the original engine model. it is 3AU. it is carby and the exhaust is on the same side as the inlet! thats why the exhaust was on the opposite side to your car.
  2. yea, was carby and its a pain in the ***** for converting but worth it all... not giving any problem as well... for a condition like that for 3k is a good price... if it has engine even a carby with complete interior, it would be worth like 5-6k... got mine 8k... now worth like 9-10k lol.. since it has been repaint, less rust... 4age... full interior yeh im gonna have to go thru the same pain converting it lol. Surprisingly, the body has no rust at all. atleast i didnt see any. pretty good car, the value hasnt plummered even tho its 24 years old almost... nice rimz btw. did u get them imported?? dont think we can get them locally lol.
  3. so urs was carby too?? was it really messy to deal with the wiring for the ECU etc when coverting to efi? yeah interesting to see which engine it uses although its going to be difficult to track down the person who we got the car off. we've bought it over 15 years ago and its just been sitting there till this very day. so many people ask me if i wana sell the car to them lol. how much did u pay for the car before doing any modifications btw? some guy offered me like $3000 (in the conditions shown in the previous posted pictures) just after watching initial D anime and movie made me realise that it was the same car as takumi, so i hell wana do it up now.
  4. not sure which engine it was originally with, cos it came to us like that. but the carby and filters are at the trunk. just the engine is missing. and i dont know what year model it is. i cant find the plate that it was printed on. need to look harder lol. not sure if all the trueno's in australia are import, but mines definatly is cos all the stuff is written in jap. but yeah, 4age has the exhaust on the other side, same with the 3sge. might have to do some modifications to chuck the pipe to the otherside. are u planning to turbo it up?
  5. weird how my ae86 has the exhaust on the opposite side as your ae86..
  6. lol i put blue leds on my current car. gonna put any underbody lights?
  7. oh 300 is ok, thought it was like 500. and its bolt on, which is easy to install lol. have u dynoed ur car? interesting to see the torque and pwoer curves. yeah cleaning up is gonna take ages. soo luckly the ae86 is easy to remove and install engines.. unlike a 300zx and others.. they take freaking ages.
  8. its gonna be a while till i can start working on the car.. so much homework and assignments. ill try getting it done by december and take pictures then. varex exhausts are pretty expensive.. im gonna paint my engine block and rocker cover.. lol, just for fun. either gold or black. ofcourse, other components are goning to be painted too to match it. are there any power difference when you switch modes on the exhaust? any backpressure problems?
  9. btw whats the subs tuned at? sub box**
  10. nice nice, didnt even know theres alphasonik for sale in perth.. never seen in shops. i just got a kicker class D amp and kenwood 12" its gonna go in the trueno when its done. how much did ur subs cost? the magnets are massive.
  11. nice nice. are those 15" alphasoniks? what did you do with the rockford ones? lol pretty good fibreglass moulding and woodworking skills. must of taken ages to do this and its TEE time soon too.
  12. yeah i just checked it today, it was a 3sge. ive been hearing from random forums that they use 4age, thats why i thought it would be easy swap. found out that my ae86 is originally on carby, not efi. was that the same for you too, shahzan?
  13. naw, its sw20. i havnt had a chance to look inside the engine bay yet so i dont know what motor it uses. did u get the sticker done by someone u know? or just a print shop? u sure know lots about car stuffs, does that workshop in the photo belong to a relative?
  14. hey playerz, thanks man... your planning to do sound system too? lol, thought Iam the only one.... your planning big port or small port 4age? or 4agze? yea, not driving much lately due to rain, so stays in shed most of the time, since it leaks from the boot... workshop is at bibra lake... good guess though my guess was way off lol. im from the north of the river. yeah i got all the gear for the sound system already but its not as good as yours. i have totaled mr2 so i if the engine is also 4age then i will transfer it in. did you ebay the tofu sicker? or custom made? attached a picture of mines. its been collecting dust for a while now. planning to do it after exams. edit: just looked a the tofu sticker again. if im correct it says tofu-ya (paasu)??
  15. hey Shahzan, nice car. Im was planning to do almost the exact same thing with my ae86, which has no engine. Ive never seen that car in the roads before (im from perth too). the workshop looks like its somewhere in bayswater (just guessing) lol.
