Window tinting to be done on Wednesday!!!

New Lights ordered and awaiting arrival :) just wondering also though, is it better to have like 6,000K for low beam and a lower one for fog lights or is it ok to have them both at 6,000K ???

Time to read up on some guides for installing parkers :)

Any handy tips beside turning wheel to full lock to get in there easier....

  2. Next on the agenda,

Black Toyota Badge to go with front grill (silver mesh

    Footwell lighting

This one is a tad extreme but maybe pull out my headlights, there is a small enough gap underneath to set in some LED strips.

ill attach a picture for a POC. Just ignore the yellow line as it will be behind the lights when attached properly.

Hope you like my sister's help with getting power to the strip for the concept photo, lol.

    Mesh the bottom grill also.

    New springs and 20" wheels

HID kit for lights (when i can be bothered)

    New parkers

    for now anyway....

  3. Sounds about the same as twin SuperCat mufflers. You never really get too much variation between different 'sports mufflers' with these cars until you start messing with the middle resonator and/or front y-pipe.

When i got this done they is 2 cats at the front ??

Well they removed one of them i believe..... Im thinking about having it hoisted up and changed some more, they suggested they could change to a 'hotdog' but ill prob get drone, best to leave as is i believe

  4. Hi everyone,

Now i got some pictures of what i have done and where i am up to.

Hope you all have a nice look and enjoy my ride as much as i do :)

Stage 7: Video of new exhaust

  5. Hello everyone,

Counting down the days until i can drive again!!!

Midnight October 2nd :) trust me, i aint going to be speeding again anytime soon.

Learnt a big lesson back in April ..... enough said.

So since i have been driving ive been modding :)

Got a custom exhaust fitted :) ** pics to come as my GF driving my car at the moment **

Custom head unit from AUTOME on ebay :) great unit, utilizing the AUX with a 12vDC converter

having a Nintendo Wii mounted in the glovebox using only 17W :) trust me, no swinging of remotes,

but a modified Wii with a hard drive full of games that dont require swinging remotes, aka Mario Kart and etc.....

a strip of LED lights (to be fitted) *need to remove headlights as they fit perfect in the gap between lights and bumper*

    48 LED interior light.

im interested in the VIP style 1 grill from RS but cant get a response about postage, do i just order it and then they will email me about shipping ???

Any other mods i should continue with???

  6. They werent put in the wrong way at all, but were in different locations as to where they were meant to be ..... no idea how this occured but all is working now.

Autome head unit back in WITH reversing camera and no faults ...... im confused to the max!!!!

All i know it my car is working now :) no VSC warnings or anything .....

Sooooo on another note, where can i order a vip1 style grill aka thai camry grill from ??????

  7. Turns out after my service on Tuesday that someone had moved a fuse into the wrong spot under the hood hence the indicators wouldnt work due to the wrong voltage but somehow caused my battery to drain, costing me $280 for labor, battery and a loan car for a day, not one thing wrong with my wiring or the head unit itself!!

Got the car home, found the problem and new battery is keeping charge.

Sounds like someone has some explaining to do at Toyota when they serviced my car......

I never touched any fuses under the hood before this happened, not realizing until dad said its related to #8 fuse location, which had been moved up into what should of been an empty slot :S

  8. I thank you for your time in replying to this matter,

lets hope it is simple enough!!

I checked the fuses in relation to the reversing lights and etc as per the manual and they were not fried so it left me confused.

As the car couldnt start when i got to Toyota thou i had no choice but to leave it there!! :(

Got a quote if the computer has fried of $5K :(

  9. Im pretty sure i have done plenty of fuses.

Ive left it in the hands of Toyota dealer until tomorrow as i got there and couldnt leave, just wanted someone to look at it and well got a loan car now, but coz of the crap wiring ill be looking at a hell of alot of money.

I wanted to come home and look at it, but just clunk clunk clunk.......

MURPHYS LAW, just want some opinions :(

  10. Hi all,

So i got my custom headunit from Autome on ebay, installed a breeze thanks to all the guides out there....

    UNTILLLL..........

Reversing Camera, finally got it working but accidently snipped my wires to the reversing light on the left,

hence only one reversing light was working.

I grabbed some wire and bound it together so i could link it back together and YES! then light comes on and camera is still working!!

Then we go to the shops and as the car is put into reverse the car jolts and im like ooookkkkk then.

On my dash - the lights that indicate PARK, REVERSE, DRIVE etc no longer light up, no indicators work at all when driving and the reversing lights dont come on at all...... ok keep driving to see if my old man can have a look and then on comes the "CHECK VSC SYSTEM" with traction control light up, engine light on and me in a world of wonder....

I stuffed my reversing lights and reconnected them with some wire until my dad could solder them..... i think this has earthed somewhere and stuffed me up??

But when i get to Toyota they couldnt look or loan a car, so i went to the next dealer as they said they had a loan car until a tech can see it tomorrow.

When i get there, the car wont even start at all, just clunk clunk clunk ???

Has this short circuit tripped the computer and caused this failure??

Have i done a starter motor from a short circuit??

Have i just blown a fuse??

Laugh away as i should of waited until my old man could do this for me, but i saw a guide and got some wire taps from jaycar so thought i could do it, hence EPIC FAIL, but id like to know peoples opinions as to why my engine has now failed or as to why the reversing lights and indicators stopped working?

  11. Hi all,

Im a 22 yr old Adelaide guy who joined a while back and posted a bit until i was a stupid idiot and lost my license

October cant come soom enough for me to be driving again, but lets get going again....

Have had my exhaust done, will have pics up next week when i have less rain outside.

Just ordered a HD LCD head unit for my car and going to get going on more stuff eventually....

  12. A few things ...

First off VF-X they said good luck finding anyone in AUS willing to make that design... They suggested one place in Sydney that does custom jobs would be your only choice beside abroad.

So i spoke to the guys about my exhaust this morning and well it got done how you all said it shouldnt.

They removed the cat, put in a 6" res and 2.5' piping right thru to the end then yer. ill list what the receipt says....

    6" Rnd 14CC250 Straight Thru

    8x4 140C250 S/Steel

    FLANGE PLATE

    57mm - 90mm Dual Wall A/Cut

    S/S Pipework

They think its too quiet upon starting it up and suggested a "hotdog" to be put on instead of the 6" res ... if i want more sound.

To me it sounds nice as it revs up but i am getting lots of black smoke ??stainless?? will this clear up ??

  13. Well the time has come and my car goes in tomorrow to have the exhaust done. EXCITING!! I will try and make a video like DJ has or somesort to show what it is like...

In reference to my other post noise/leak i have my car booked in with Toyota Thursday to have the boot stripped as i washed my car again and that left hand cavity filled up with water again!!!

Quite annoying as i lose my 2 days off work this week and will have no car :(

luckily my GF's a hairdresser and her work is down the road from the exhaust place so ill get a nice free haircut while waiting :)

NUMBER PLATES .... i used to have DJK 669 (David John Kauschke) 669 for laughs ....

im still unsure on what to get ... DA3VI0 or something like that......

SHOUT OUT SOME MORE IDEAS!!! :)

  14. Thanks for your words of advice, i didnt notice it myself.

Im a 21 yr old guy who has a very annoying father who is a rev head, yet picks on everything i do when driving lol.

It seems to be louder than when he first pointed it out to me, i also have this issue with when i was my car the L) area side of the boot under the mat gets filled up with water, i dont know if this is a leak or if its just where the excess water drains.

I am getting toyota to have a look at this sometime next week so i may point out the noise at the same time also .....

Weird thou to get water collecting in that area near the spare tyre, was very green water at first (washing place uses strong colour foam)

  15. Thankyou for your advice Daryl :) - I have booked it in for this Wednesday coming up so i will express to the guy what i want done on monday morning when he calls back.... They do all the pipe bending direct there hence a cheaper price and coz my mate has had his RX7 done there - he is keeping the price low ....

Im tempted to go for the removal of the resonator and leave the 2.5" all the way through but yet again .... i dont know much about what im taliking about...

Just dont want to be stuck with a DRONE and have to spend more on fixing it.
