  1. heyy.. looking really good... am thinking of getting the back up cam too for my CVX :)

I only got it because the back of the stereo have a plug for it

What I really would like though is a DVBt receiver but they are only available thru ebay at the moment

  2. It seems to me there are 98% gen 2 owners on this forum, any gen 1 owners? It'd be ncie to have a mix.

    Cheers

    Matt

Yep, Another Gen 1 owner here!

2006 CVX, Blue/Grey (not sure on the official colour name), just ticked over 50k doing a run down to Busselton (WA). Did the whole wine tour deal through margaret river with four adults and three kids. Very happy with the handling in the wet on the winding roads loaded up with seven people and day luggage.

Can anyone tell me if there is logic behind the overdrive button defaulting to on, then once disabling it a light appears on the dash with "overdrive off". I just presumed it would default to off and you would have to engage once you hit cruising speed. On occasion ill forget when you first start the car to disable the overdrive and it is noticeably sluggish. Shouldnt the light come on to alert you to a function being active?? Im may be overlooking some reason if someone can point it out or advise if the default can be reversed!

Has anyone come across a tried and tested accessory to link up an Ipod to the factory stereo in the CVX? I bought the top of the range Belkin FM tuner/charger with "Clearscan" but it is still very average.

    Thanks all

we've got a 04 cvx which now has an upgraded stereo, dvd, mp3 etc with rev camera, bluetooth, tv

  3. :yahoo:
Gen 2 :D . You can tell most have Gen 2 by the model next to their name.

    Hi guys

How can one tell if it's a gen 1 or 2 ? I just bought a 2004 Kluger CVX. Silver in colour.

    Cheers

    Willem,

CVs are gen 1 while KXs are gen 2. I am not sure whether gen 1 had the grande....also the year 2007 and beyond are gen 2

I have a 04 cvx with safety pack which I installed a new stereo, camera and oh mon to

  4. The Kluger does come with Toyota Roadside Assistance, so the RACV one isn't required...but I'll probably keep ours going anyway.

I've been looking around at insurance for the Kluger and, for us, RACV are by far the cheapest....especially with the Silver membership discount (which I think is 10%).

Toyota offer insurance however when I asked them to give me an estimate it was about $500 more expensive than RACV....which the Toyota guy couldn't believe.

He suggested I go to RACV for the insurance, as there was no way they could match the price (or even come close).

I think I'll keep the RACV going also. We're up to silver membership and if you cancel it you're back to square 1 if you decide to join up again later.

At the moment I have 4 quotes for insurance, AAMI are cheaper than RACV, even given the silver membership in my circumstances.

I note all the companies bar one want you to pay through the nose to pay monthly and not in one hit. But this is the topic for another thread so thanks for the advice.
