  1. hey,

just wondering what happens when your admitted to hospital after surgery? do you get to have a shower and what clothes do you wear? and do you just stay in bed all day? will they feed you food

    ? thanks

If you are are an inpatient(admitted),yes they should feed you, and yes yes should be able to have a shower. depends what hospital though i guess, cause I had surgery last yearand thats how it worked for me

    All the best mate

  2. I put e10 in my car and now I am having the same problem with my corolla,it has a lower idle than normal, do you have trouble starting the car aswell, when i try to start mine I have to put accelerator in and rev it, put it in reverse and then back in park otherwise car stalls. I have now put Vortex premium in my car but it is still a pain to start, would disconconnecting the batteries negative terminal fix the problem by reseting the computer. Im fairly sure it is the e10 that mucked it up though, as it ran and started perfect before last week

    Cheers

  3. Ok, I think problem is solved. Exhaust had water in it, as we have had terential rain here in the Illawarra for the past week. I just recalled that when the car started mucking up was when the last tank of petrol went in, which is E10, so not putting petrol with ethanol in again, as I now know the effect of it on my engine. Other wise car runs brilliant again. :D

  4. .....and what was the outcome of doing that? What you end up doing and hows the sound? Reason I ask is that im thinking of doing a cat back system

on my missus corolla turbo. What exhaust tip or tips did you get?

The sound is good, I just said to the guys at Oak Flats Muffler men, I wanted a decent 2" Cat back sports exhaust system.

So as to answer your question, Im not too sure but I think I just have a sports muffler with a 2" Tip.

I can upload Pics if you want

  5. Had service yet? Intake filter clogged/needs a clean? Loose spark plug leads? Fuel filter/pump clogged?

Yes, had it serviced about three weeks ago and the mechanic said it was in perfect mechanical order and that it was a strong engine, but I got the exhaust two days later and noticed a lower idle and a lack of power on acceleration straight away, I let my dad take it for a drive as he owned it for 8 years from new and he said it is completly different to drive now and agrees it is now lacking power

  6. My 2000 Corolla conquest recently became more difficult to start, has a low idle(idles at 500RPM) and seems to have lost power within two weeks after putting a 2" Sports Exhaust from the cat back.I know the exhaust must be contributing in one way or another, as the car drove and idled fine before the exhaust was replaced.

Can anyone tell me what is causing the low idle and lack of power, could it possibly be not getting enough fuel?

Can anyone help please, it would greatly be appreciated

  7. If you don't want crap sound... then don't put a cannon on.

I'd recommend getting a good quality straight through muffler, perhaps increase exhaust size to no more bigger than 2.25". Other than that I wouldn't bother.

I think 7AFE exhaust notes will never sound they way you want it to unless you have deep pockets to play with

I took the cannon back today, I thought might aswell just do the 2.25" sports exhaust, hopefully that will sound alright

  8. 9. It's an intake resonator, it connects to the underside of your intake snorkel just behind the battery underneath the fuse box - you remove it and the snorkel (as well as the airbox etc), and use the resulting hole in the guard to run your CAI pipe through. If you look at my photos you can see the hole just behind the battery where the pipe runs.

Thanks, I thought that was what it was but wasnt sure so thought I should ask before I take it out.

  10. Ok, I had a quick look today with the grills off and there is a plastic tank behind it, What is it?

I know the questions im asking are probably stupid but i just want to be sure I do it right the first time and as I have only had the car for two months im not sure where everything is

What is it connected to? I would say it's an intake resonator (there to reduce induction noise) if it is attached to the intake, or the windscreen washer bottle... but that one should be half obvious.

No, windscreen washer bottle is on the other side of engine bay this one is directly under the battery on the side the factory intake is the plastic box is empty, is this the intake resonator. if you look at posts in this thread it has pics of their car Cai done and where the pipe goes in under the fuse box next to the battery there is an empty plastic box under, can any one tell me what it is and whether it is the intake resonator, the box doesnt appear to be connected to do anything

  11. Thanks for the replies, i just needed to know cos im on my p's and have been told that if I have a CAI the boys in blue will defect it because its a performance upgrade and others have told me that it cant be defected just because I have my P's and have a CAI. Do you guys know if either are completely true or it is just a matter of luck and not getting caught?

    Cheers

    Matt

Have a read there mate. I take it you are on P1s?

Yeah on P1's, could you tell me what sort of sound im looking at from a 2" sports exhaust from the cat. I have got a cannon to put on it but dont want a horrible sounding exhaust any advice on exhausts within the $400 mark?

    Thanks
