Also spotted Charlie in his ZRE yesterday arvo. Looking good man!...cars not looking to bad either ;) *ba dum dum tish*

  2. Quick question. I picked up a new Kenwood HU and was looking at installing it myself as I wasn't keen on spending $100 to get it put in!!

are these the iso plug's I'll be needing?

or will I be ok with just the first one? (I'm just going by the example they have further down the page)

HU is a Kenwood DPX-U5120 if that helps.

    Cheers for the help!

EDIT: NM, I found a store that had them in stock. Just finished installing it then...

    NEW QUESTION!!! lol

what do you use to fill in the gaps on either side of the headunit?

  3. anyone know the offset on these babies?!

    Sure do, 16x7 +30

Really? they look smaller, maybe 15x7?. Also I'm pretty sure Equip 01's only come in 14" & 15" (unless they're reps).

Every time i scroll through the rolla page on JDMST and see that pic, Juvenile...I always stop haha. It really is a nice looking car but the wheels seem too small imo (still seks though!! lol).

  4. Lol yeh it was did you see my car down there....? Red pre facelift ? That sportivo was nice slammed I was gonna ask him if i could buy them off him lol I think I'm in love

Yeah I spotted you there. When you parked infront of KK's you were facing right at me haha, I left maybe 3-4mins after you parked (you had gone to a mate with a charade i think?).

I was in the black on black facelift, this one (but my GF's driving lol)...

    5862957714_81bc89198b.jpg

but its far from slammed lol, i think the black wheels help it look lower than it is! haha

  5. I seen a set last night Painted gloss black they looked hot I wana do mine now :D

Was that at KK's by any chance? If so that might of been me (black on black facelift?)

I was talling my little brother how much I wish I had a red stivo haha.

With regards to op's Question, I paid $70 per wheel (I think?) and I got them done in "satin" black.

I also got the option to choose between a matte, satin or gloss finish (extra $10 for gloss).

Also another black sportivo in woolooware. I always see you turning right on kingsway to go past the golf club. (spotted you the last 3 days lol)

  8. hey Guys,

Quick question...i'm pretty keen on getting an injen cai (part No.RD2082P) for my sportivo and i was just wondering if anyone has actually installed one?

I've had a read in the CAI buyers guide and from what i can see it should fit but i wanted to know 100% before i go throwing money around.

If anyone has installed it, could you give me any heads up on any troubles you may of had/things to make it easier to install. As far as i

know its best to remove the battery and front bar...so yeah, any pointers?

sorry for making a thread on what may have already been discussed, mods feel free to bin if need be lol.

    Cheers for the help.

    -Phill

  9. Rolla & Sao Boy...this goes to you.

    thanks for that link mate.

and if you already have those pics of where you mounted the ballasts then that would be great.

p.s when you said the 03 doesnt have that cover, does that mean it looks like what the 05 would

look like without it, or is there some form of protection? if not is it all fine and dandy?

i might stop stressing if it is lol

    cheers buddy

  10. so yesterday my HID's came in and i had a go at trying to install them myself.

i didnt end up putting them in due to it getting to cold & dark + the stupid wind but anyways...

the problem(s) i got are that...

    1. you know the black plastic cover that goes over the wires/bulb and stuff on the back of the headlight?

well the part that holds it in has snapped somehow. (will get pics of it soon if you got no idea of what im on about.)

at the moment it stays on but im just unsure if its something that has to be kept on...

would having it off result in moisture getting to the headlights?

    2. BALLASTS!!! where did you guys mount yours? can they be mounted with out having to remove front bars?? ect ect...

also is there an easier way of installing the bulbs as it seems the sportivo bay is a bit of a tight one. (or am i just being a bitch? lol)

    cheers for the help guys.

edit: sorry, its an 05 corolla sportivo.

  11. i'm thinking you need to get some pics of it during the day.

TBH at the moment its a no lol. but i think its just the pics!

really keen to see what it looks like during the day cause im

thinking getting mine powdercoated, yours arn't PC are they?

they seem to have more gloss the a PC job would have.

  12. Spotted Phil (Jalapeno) yesterday along woodhouse drive, man your stivo looks so clean, even during the rain lol

    haha SIFF!!!

thanks Charlie, it probs only looked clean because your eyes were still adjusting to the surroundings after i flashed you ;) (with the high beams that is...)

i love your lights!! i think after i get rid of my ugly wheels im going to have to invest in some HIDs, but yea man your car is looking great.

lol @ spotting in the same place again!!!

  13. Another addict signing in lol.

maybe 3-4 weeks ago a mate and myself had a go at "claying" our cars.

Like DHC09 it was our first time so we were in shock at the difference it makes, the roof was the highlight lol

so this is my car, the reflections of crap everywhere kinda do the car no justice in the pics...so just look at the bonnet lol

    4434039419_762e937eb6_b.jpg

and my mates roof lol....so stoked at how smooth it was...we kept sliding microfiber towels along it lol.

    4434807130_3283fb210d_b.jpg

    and his door...

    4434802998_692da21126_b.jpg

so i have question. how often should you clay your car? i had a skim through the thread and i may have missed it.

its just my car looks like ***** after the rain these last two days + build up over the weeks and i wasn't sure if

its ok to go nuts and clay again.

    cheers guys,

    Phill
