  1. so where is the computer that controls the headlights? how many wires goes towards he headlights?

I didn't see it in the FAQ index, do we have this information on the forum somewhere?

Hey mate check out Rstyle.....i think they sell the complete fog light with LED strip on top....looks pretty nice....but they only have it for series 2 aurion (09 - upward) front bumper......i m trying to locate one with LED on the headlight ( like the AUDI) in Taiwan.

hope you have better luck than i did on those headlights.. only one i found that acctually replied my enquiry was MARS performance, and TBH the aurion option they showed me (which they dont have on their website anymore) looked like complete p0o.. :(

i go to thailand quite often cause my other half is thai so its easy for me .......but your're right there's doggy stuff in thailand........there's good aurion aftermarket in malay and indo .......they're go crazy with the aurion in indo......

  3. Perhaps find a reputable independent service shop? I take mine to an independent, and it only costs me about $130 including fluids. I'm going to start taking in my own parts and fluids so that'll knock the price back even more.

    THIS.

If the car is out of warranty, find yourself a reputable interdependent mechanic and have it done there.

I would stay away from big chains like kmart, ultratune, jax, etc.

yeah i'll try to find out....just trying to be cheap skate at the moment because its bills months....rates, insurance and all that ***** falls on the same bloody mths..

  4. Has anyone done the 75000k service? how much was it?.....i got a quote for $270( the lowest price i got from 5 different toyota service dealers), it the same price as the 60000k major service......is the correct or they're trying to rip me off?.........don't have warranty....should i just go get it service by midas or kmart auto which is much cheaper?

  5. G'day

Where do you think the rattles are coming from?

I've had a lot of squeaks coming from around the gear lever area.

I fixed them, one at a time by gently prizing the tow offending pieces apart with a flat bladed knife, eating a packet of smarties and then using the cardboard from the smarties to seperate the offending pieces of plastic. I know it sounds strange but I tried EVERY thickness of cardboard I could find to stop the squeaks and found that a double thickness of smartie packet is perfect.

    Hope this helps.

The squeaks drove me up the bloody wall until I found them and sorted them out, one at a time.

yeah its driving me nuts ,it gets really worse on hot days and the aircon on.......pretty much on the silver parts....its really cheap ***** plastic....i'll try your DIY and see how it goes....thx

  6. i have 07 sportivo ex-rental and the ride can be harsh sometime especially driving in the highway from gold coast to brizzy, bouncy and noisy.....has anyone experience the same in theirs sportivos?

The M1 is uber bouncy on the concrete sections.

yeah thats true.......but we have a camry/aurion in thailand and the ride much better and the road over there is not the same league as here

So is the road better in Brisbane or in Thailand?

Does the car only bounce on M1?

  8. hey guys

Bought 07 sx6 40ks for 22 grand ex-rental 3 weeks ago now, dash rattles is often now especially cold days. Car still has 1 year left on warranty, can i get toyota to fix it even if it is an ex-rental under warranty, or do i have to pay for it?. And with my log books service, the service is done by the rental company and they said that it doesn't void the warranty...is this true?....any advice?

Mine was also ex- rental. It is no problem at all to get toyota to fix it. Give them a call and get it booked in asap. You will be surprised at the difference.

    will do mate thx

  10. Hi all

I m a newbie and just bought 07 sx6 aurion with 1 year warranty left and everything is all good so far. I also recognise clunk sound but only when the car is cold, after a few km there is no noise. I just thought it was just normal because it didn't effect the driving at all, but now (after reading how bad it is) starting to get worried. I still got 3mth dealer warranty also, should i go to the dealer or toyota about this? Any help is appreciated.
