Yeah I am leaning towards the KU31s :) Does anybody know a bob jane in sydney that does KU31s at 245/40/19 sub $300? I'm looking at 330+ a tyre down here in Canberra, seems exessive from what I have read.

Thanks for that, now all I gotta do is figure out which tyre to go for :) Looking at the Kumho KU31 or the Dunlop Sport maxx

Hi folks,
I am looking to upgrade my stock wheels on my sx6 from the standard 215/55/17 at 45 offset, to 245/40/19 at 35 offset on PDW HB-R wheels. Should I expect any tyre rubbing given the car isn't lowered at all, even at full lock?
Thanks in advance for your thoughts :)

That rear plate is suprisingly expensive, $220....

Mate do you know the part number for the plastic panel/scuff plate at the boot? mine is pretty badly scuffed and scratched.
Are you referring to the large piece of trim that is basically the rear section of the inside of the boot?
If so, part number is:
58387-06100 PLATE, REAR FLOOR FINISH
That's the one, thanks!

You mean like this (removed with no tools):
That part I removed (for Sportivo SX6 and ZR6):
Front:
74611-06070-B1 COVER, ASSIST GRIP, LH : DK GRAY, TRIM1
74612-06060-B1 COVER, ASSIST GRIP, RH : DK GRAY, TRIM1
Rear:
74645-06050-B1 COVER, DOOR ASSIST GRIP, RH : DK GRAY, TRIM1
74646-06050-B1 COVER, DOOR ASSIST GRIP, LH : DK GRAY, TRIM1
That's exactly what I meant DJ thanks, you are the master

Hi Folks,
Just wondering if the door handle panels are removable and replaceable? Specifically the one circled in the picture below:
It looks like an individual piece but not too sure how to get it off. Is this the kind of thing Toyota could replace for me, or should I call around some wreckers to try my luck?
Thanks for any info you can offer me B)

Thanks for the info. I'm tossing up between LED or getting the osram nightbreakers for the headlights then using the phillips 5w parker globes that come with it, apparently they are white-ish...
-
Hey guys,
how many SMD leds do you recommend for the parker replacements? I've just changed interior and number plate lights with the 5 SMD led versions, would they be bright enough? I guess they shouldn't be too bright either....

Thanks for the guide guys, I just changed door, map and number plate lights to white led, looks awesome! :) Now for the dome....

I've only been around this forum now for a few weeks, but have noticed that if there's a question regarding an Aurion, it's DJKOR that has the answer, all the time
Does'nt matter what time I come online, day or night, Daryl seems to be here. I don't think he sleeps. I think he's just fueled by the sheer awesomeness of his car. :P
Back on topic... Tristan, why are you replacing your bumper for the sake of some marks and chips? Surely it would be cheaper and easier to get a respray?
Yeah probably, I am just going to check out both options :)
-
Yeah indeed, a credit to the community to have someone this knowlegeable :)

Thank you very much for the part info. Do you happen to know the part numbers for the side skirts?
-
Hi folks,
My recently acquired sportivo sx has a few marks and chips on the lower half of the front bumper, near one of the fog lights. Any idea on roughly how much a replacement would cost from a dealer? I just want to get a ball park idea because down here in canberra dealers (generally) really rip us off. I'd be happy to get it done in sydney if it's better up there.
Now that I think about it, is the bumper all one piece or can the lower part be replaced seperately?
Thanks for any info!

Cool, how firm is the ride with the car lowered and with the 19s?
Also, does lowering the car affect factory warranty at all? I don't know anything about lowering a car as I'm a noob, other than it looks cool :)
I've sat in a couple of lowered Aurions and feel that I can make a comparative comment.
When comparing a lowered Aurion with 19's/20's to a stock (Sportivo) Aurion with 17's, the ride comfort is noticeably different. It's not a massive change, but it's enough to notice it's slightly more 'twitchy'. That said, it doesn't take long at all for you to adjust to it and completely forget about it.
As well, springs like Kings and Pedders are a more progressive spring than the stock springs. This means that for the initial bit of compression, they are rather soft. This means that even though they are lowered, it doesn't instantly mean the ride is hardened up for your everyday driving. Most of the change in feel comes from the larger wheels and lower profile tires. The difference in comfort observed from the springs alone isn't really that much when you are driving normally.
As for the factory warranty, changing the springs will not affect it at all unless it can be proved that using lowered springs was the cause of any fault that occurs in the future.
Thanks for the info. If I wanted to lower my aurion with 19s, what specifically would I ask for at pedders? Sorry I am pretty new to all this, have only had my aurion for 4 days :)

You have to make sure you get them in 19's:
Those wheels look sweet, what are they and how big? The aurion in that pic has been lowered right? :)

Yeah that's true, My only worry about going down to 35 is the ride quality. I think the ride is already pretty stiff with the stock setup...
