  1. Hi Brooke483

I ordered my Grande 2 weeks ago from Homebush Bay Toyota dealer (phil Gilbert). I called the guy who sold me the car twice, he did not tell me much and said the price is not even out yet. But he said he will call me as soon as he receive any news.

This is frist time I buy a new year, don't know this is normal or not.

Don't you just love dealers?! My one still hasn't called back with details or a price (over week and half!). Went to a fleet leasing company instead who got a firm price within an hour!!

  2. Hi Guys,

I've gone for black with biege leather, got anudge bar and side steps thrown in for free. Dealer says that car should be with them for the 7th, so with any luck may have it by the 8th.

I ordered in June and was hoping to have it in time for my Wife's birthday. Will miss this by a few days but should still be a great surprise and keep me in the good books for a while!

I don't normally go for the dealer rip-off up-sells but they offered me a service that gives unlimited touch-ups (including alloys) for a fixed price of $50 per call out for the first three years for an up front fee of $300. It's with one of those mobile services like Dent Dr, seems like a good way to get rid of all the shopping trolley dings...

Out of interest what is the new car costing you all up?

  3. even on eBay?

how cheap are they? I got Bridgestone OEM tyres for $400 each all up from K Mart a couple of weeks ago...

ok ,my local tyre dealer quoted $500 ea for the bridgestones , havent got a kmart close to me but will go for a drive to save 100 X4

Pays to ring a few places. I rang 6 tyre retailers and prices ranged from $580 (Bridgestone store) to $400! The Kmart was part of my local Shell servo

  4. My face-lifted Kluger Grande AWD landed in Oz last Friday (24th Sept)but Toyota Australia are refusing to release it to my local dealer until the day of the official launch - the 7th October. Not much longer to wait now…

My dealer told me the 8th is the wholesale date, and they'll have it a few days after that. I hate waiting. I'm so impatient.

Hey PhilG and Pugsly - what colours did you order? I'm looking at a new one in Dark Furnace (a new colour for Kluger but available on the Prado).

  5. Hi everyone!

Ive been reading this forum for a few months now and havent made a post until now. Weve had our facelifed Kluger Grande on order since the start of August and have been kept constantly updated from our Toyota dealership.

This is what we know so far: We have been told that the new Kluger is under embargo until tomorrow 27/9/10 and that we will have ours by the end of the month. The expeceted delivery date of ours is 27/09/10.

If our dealership is correct then all information should be released tomorrow and we should have our new kluger by the end of the week.

Will keep you all updated on our situation as more information comes to hand.

Thanks everyone for all your help!

    Hi

Where is your dealer located? I know the dates can't be state specific, but was curious about urs.

Unfortunately the dealers in the ACT are clueless. I've rung 2 in recent weeks (all owned by the same crowd) - one has not returned my calls; the other knew absolutely nothing at all (I had to tell them what was happening!!) At least I have this site to let me know the details!

  6. Here is the first review, with good pics, of just released 2011 Highlander which looks to be almost identical to the soon to be released facelifted Kluger being released here mid next month. Ordered my new Grande 6 weeks ago and dealer says it'll be one of the first ones off the boat. Can't wait !

    When's the delivery date?

    Here's another US review - http://www.c****ssion.com/car-news/2011-toyota-highlander.html

  7. Guy from Toyota Australia told me that "all information relation to this facelift is under embargo and will not be available until after October 2010". Guess we'll know next month...no idea on when deliveries will start though.

  8. each to their own but the facelift isn't really taking my fancy...

I'm with you. The new grille/headlight combination looks like the face of some crazy robot from a Manga cartoon.

Apart from rear seat not being split fold...

Has anyone made any inquiries about getting the seat modified?

Good point - it might be worth looking into whether Toyota can retrofit the new split fold seat. Given that the interior doesn't seem to have changed it should use the same seat mounts etc..?

The Russian media pack for the Highlander - http://highlander.toyota.ru/media/Highlander.pdf - shows a split 3rd row for the top of the range model, USB plug in the lower centre console (near the heated seat switch), hard drive in sound system, rear fog light, and wait for it...slightly different cup holders in the front!! Also, some different colours too...

  9. looks very stylish.. cosmetically it looks like a brand new model more than a facelift!

really?! - change the grille and lights and that's a "new model"?! it looks EXACTLY like my current one inside...disappointing. Where's the memory seat for the driver? new trim to replace the plastic 'wood'? new wheel designs?
