  1. Goes on dyno this monday so i should get it back friday or saturday ready for the cruise to somerset dam.

    Looks like a engine mount has done a poop and the engine has dropped so much that the turbo manifold was hitting my steering rod lol.

    Other then that it just need retuned and my track bars fitted, a lsd which iam trying to source as we speak.

    But ive gotta look for a everyday driver hack car cos driving the lux is killing me on fuel and also killing the clutch. FFS the flywheel wear plate needs to be changed every 50,000km ahahah

  2. Iam not realy looking forward to driving through nebo and glorius with a 5puck clutch and a traffic jam/cruise that will no doubtfully involve some form of a accident.

    Thinking of meeting them when they come out of glorius . Plus when coming from the ipswich direction theirs plenty more long stretchy roads and twisty bits with no traffic holding me up

    Anyone wanna just meet at fernvale and cruise to the end meeting spot?

    Meet at 8:45AM Sunday 10th October

    -Lowe Ovan Carpark, side of Sports Drive, Just off Springwood rd, Springwood

    We will endeavour to leave here by 9:15am!!

    Shoot directly onto the hwy northbound, up along riverside expressway and onto the ramp for the ICB, here we will take a left onto milton rd before actually getting onto the ICB.

    Turn right onto Hale St, Right to the end then turn left onto Musgrave Rd and just following this onto Waterworks rd.

    FIRST FUEL&FOOD STOP

    At the end of Waterworks rd, just before Nebo, there is a Mobil Servo on the right hand side, we will re-group here, those who need it can get fuel & drinks can do this here.

    We will them proceed over Nebo & Glorious, Maybe stop at one of the lookouts if everyone wants to, if not, we will go directly over the mountains and on to Somerset Dam.

    At Somerset we will hopefully organise a BBQ, at this stage BYO drinks and gold coin donation for a sausage sambo.

    Ill try to organise some fun & games if anyone has suggestions it would be appreciated as it would be cool to make it a bit more fun than 'just a cruise'.

    It is a Toyota/Lexus cruise, all Toyota/Toyota powered cars welcome, however if you cannot hitch a ride in one, you are more than welcome to tag along in any sort of car you want, but when we park up at somerset i'd ask that you let all Toyotas park in a group for some photos.

    Any Questions, just ask in here, we will have UHF going to if you have one bring it if you want!!

  4. Going to tuners monday arvo with a list so i expect i wont see it for the entire week :(

    Running nice on 15psi bar the little bugs. Going for a nice 300rwkw number as it made 240 on its last tune

  5. Too many bugs at the moment.

    List so far:

    Leaking wastegate outlet/screamer- Needs flanges to be machined flat

    Idles at 2000rpm- due to having a lightened flywheel now plus larger intake ports

    Still running in period- Not using coolant only water and also running in oil

    Maybe a day meet/cruise id bring it out but thursday night in brisbane with a 5puck clutch aint fun

  6. Never had any problems with the adaptronic. It was bought through andrew/evaded and fitted by craig.

    But i wont be going all the way back to randell st to have it retuned. Ive found some one more capable/willing to give me some help. Plus there local and he's a toyota NUT and the only person i recommend to work on toyotas in the performance side of things

  7. Bowdens Own all the way. Once i used it i stopped using anything else.

    Been to bowdens Own car collection twice. Last time was for the sound tour which was the last tour they were every running on site. They are looking to set up a venue on the sunshine coast. But to be honest you will never get that personal tour feeling again

    castrol dot 4 brake fluid

    castolr gearbox fluid

    castrol diff fluid

    Go into ya local autobahan and there should be a castrol fluid book that will tell you what oils you can use

  9. Iam after 300rkw and i should hit it easy but iam not wanting any more then that other wise its un drivable.

    Wont know till its on the dyno and tuned. And its never been down the strip yet. Not had a chance to do it

  11. Just found this place in my endless search of the interwebs for ever thing related to 3rzfe engines!

    I own a 03 hilux thats some what been modified . Its a 2wd model and some may call in a "mini truck" but thats were it all stops.

    Ive done a fair bit of work to the engine. Running a gt3582r garret turbo with external wastegate full 3inch exhaust from turbo back, 550cc injectors, fully forged engines with lager valves and adjustable cams, removed balance shafts, Massive port on both intake and exhaust, adpatonic ecu, and should be good for 20psi. I also have a set of track bars made up for me from a guy in the states, Have a set of sway bars coming for front and rear to stop the thing from tipping over.

    Before the forged internals and top end parts on stock bottom end it rand 240rkw at the wheels on 18psi............... until i bent number 3 rod and piston slapped the crank and bent that 4tho. Whoops. Dome boost spike fairy got me

    Just need a re tune hopefully next week

    Yes it was scary to drive before i done the rebuild so god only knows whats its gonna be like to drive now
